Darey looked shocked. The Lia he was seeing, was an artificial body? How was that possible?

"But that would mean you completed your research. Your prototype worked" Darey said.

"No, the research was never completed. This is because the final piece we required was not available until the Second Rip. A massive surge of the S-Element." She said.

Darey fell silent upon hearing this.

"While watching my colleagues die, I instinctively transferred my consciousness into the body I had made. It was a failsafe I put in place in case anything ever happened to me, though I was certain the process wouldn't be successful and even if it was I would be in a vegetative and unconscious state since the body of the prototype was incomplete" She said.
