"My lord, the princess went to the frozen lake again." Felix reported when he entered the gallery, where Darius was staring out through the window.
He didn't react, so Felix took a step closer. "I think she is trying to gauge how long it will take for her absence to be discovered, so she knows how far she can be before the kingdom starts searching for her."
"I know." Darius breathed, not pulling his gaze away from the window.
Felix was confused. "But you still let her go?"
He tilted his head over his shoulder and frowned at his advisor, wondering if he really couldn't figure it out. "I would like to know how powerful her demon powers are."
It took a moment for Felix to understand what he meant. "Do you think she will try to compel the knights to help her escape?"
