Of course she knew she couldn't trust Darius in the slightest. He was the enemy. However, that didn't mean he was definitely lying. He could be right, too, and Ylvia could be hiding something. That much was evident from her expression a moment ago.

She stepped aside to let her do her work. "Do you understand why I cannot try to befriend him now? He cannot be trusted."

Ylvia picked her broom nervously. It wasn't her place to make such comments about her lady's husband, so she remained silent. That didn't mean she disagreed much.

"No one can fully be trusted, my lady. We befriend our enemies to find out how much they actually hate us and the extent they would go to get rid of us."
