Sensing that Merideth was serious, Father Su excused himself from the men.
He walked towards Merideth with a slight frown.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Can we talk about it inside your room?" She asked as she didn't want to create more chaos before the plan.
"Come with me..." Father Su walked towards the side door and exited the venue.
Meanwhile, Louise and Shirley had done all the preparations.
They gave each other a high five then giggled.
They walked inside the hall hand in hand.
"Say, will she like our gift?" Shirley asked.
Louise narrowed her eyes looking foxy. "Of course, she will. We have thought about it for a long time. I'm sure she will appreciate our efforts..."
It was as if they were really talking about something thoughtful.
Some ladies heard them and gossiped.
Many of their highschool schoolmates and university classmates came.
"Is that Shirley?" Someone pointed at them.
"Yeah! It is her..."
"I thought they were not in good terms with Anastasia?"
"Well, the world of the rich, what can happen? Let's just see..."
The program seemed to go on amidst all the murmurs.
Finally, the celebrants came.
The MC became hyped up again.
"Let us welcome our bride and groom to be! A round of applause for Mr. Andrew Bo and Ms. Anastasia Su!!!"
The whole venue exploded with applause. Some of Andrew Bo's friends were there, cheering and getting rowdy.
When the music played, all of them became silent as they waited for the couple to walk down the isle.
Merideth walked back inside the hall and made way to Shirley and Louise.
"Done?" Merideth asked the two.
The two didn't answer but had that meaningful smile.
Their eyes didn't leave the couple who was accepting congratulatory words from the guests.
Anastasia had that blissful smile on her and Andrew didn't talk too much. There was something wrong with his expression.
"Congrats Anastasia..."
"Congrats Ms. Su!"
"Congrats Mr. Bo!"
The couple made their way to the stage.
"What a loving couple..." The MC commented.
"Thank you Mr. Du.." Anastasia graciously accepted his compliment.
"Well, to see how loving our couple are, the family prepared a short video in commemoration for this joyous day..." The MC began his job.
The projector behind them played but the video that supposedly showcased their love, was not playing. Instead, it was a scandalous video of Anastasia going to club with men and being liberated.
Upon seeing the video, many of the guests were gasping.
"Ohhh my G! How liberated!" One of the guest commented loudly. Anastasia looked back and saw a glaring video.
"Turned it off!!!" She yelled.
But her yell was drowned out with the murmurs of people. The video continued to play and the more it showed her shamelessness.
Her reputation was thrown to the ditch and unsalvageable.
"It is not me! Not me!!" She began to cry with panic.
It was such an unsavory scene and she was known as a virtuous lady in the upper class.
Andrew flung her hands off him and his face could be as black as a charcoal.
This woman really had no shame. She wanted her to marry him. She even claimed that she was pregnant with his child.
Andrew knew who he screwed and among them, Anastasia were not present. He didn't even know her until the night of Merideth's 20th birthday. But she claimed that she was 2 months pregnant. How could that be?
He wanted to walked down the stage but his mother signaled him to be calm and stay put.
"I didn't know that she has such a rich private life." Mrs. Bo said and walked towards the stage.
They utterly lost their faces tonight. If it wasn't for Anastasia claiming that she was pregnant with Andrew's child, she didn't want her to be part of their family.
A family like them were not an average family in the capital and they could have selected a proper lady from another family.
Mrs. Bo grabbed the microphone from the MC and began to talk.
"This engagement cannot be completed. Mr. Su, I'm sorry. I don't want to have a daughter in-law who was so dirty."
Andrew and Mrs. Bo walked down the stage with anger. They walked out from the party and never looked back.
Anastasia was left alone on the stage while crying.
Father Su didn't know what to do. Clarisse looked at the 3 women on the side. She smirked knowingly.
Father Su walked towards the stage and grabbed the microphone.
"This party ends here. I am sorry for such disgrace." Then he bowed deeply.
With that saying, the people below the stage went uproar.
They couldn't believe such drama occured during this kind of party.
Anastasia was trembling with anger.
She didn't know what went wrong. It was supposedly Merideth's scandalous pictures to be presented but why is it her video?
