Elaine gripped her teacup hard. She inhaled a mouthful of air as well as the bitter tastes in her mouth. There were times that he could be tender and sweet too but she is not the one who received it.

"Froilan, you never told me that you have such a young and beautiful friend..." Elaine raised her brows gently. She played dumb.

"Ohhh, Ms. Zhou, you're here." Augustus didn't like his other name and besides, only few people call him that. He actedd like he only noticed her.

He never had a positive feelings to this woman as he can clearly see her scheming eyes.

"Froilan, that hurts me. I entertained your friend for you." Elaine didn't seem to see his bluntness. She was quite used to it as the man treated her coldly ever since. But his gentleness made her heart break even more.

"Heh." The man scoffed and said nothing after that. This made the woman feel awkward and a little embarassed.

Louise didn't pay attention to the two. Her peripheral view captured an old man walking briskly towards them. It was the Old Master Ye.

Butler Wu walked towards the man and bowed a little.

"Old Master... Ms. Elaine had been waiting for you." Butler Wu said in a reverent tone.

"Why you didn't tell me?" Old Master Ye was quite angry. He really liked Elaine to be his granddaughter-in-law but Augustus wouldn't relent. He would rather marry an unknown woman than Elaine which is an aristocrat's daughter. This made him furious and recollecting their arguement made him even more so.

He saw another woman across Elaine and this made him boil in anger.

"She came when you were discussing things with the Young Master." Butler Wu explained. It was said that when they were talking, no matter is more important than that. The rest could wait so Butler Wu didn't inform him right away.

They talked as they walked.

Elaine stood up to greet the old man.

"Grandfather..." Elaine called out sweetly.

"Aye! Why haven't I seen you these past few months? I thought you forgot to visit this old man..." Grandfather Ye whined.

"Grandfather, how could that be? I came here the moment I came back. I didn't even drop my things to the house yet." Elaine smoothed it out.

"Rest is important. You should have rested first before coming here. Look at you, you look so tired. " Grandfather Ye had a worried tone. He was a caring elderly towards Elaine.

"I will rest after I told you about Country Z." Elaine said with a glee. She knew that the old man is a fan of adventures and travels.

"You went to Country Z this time? Lass, your safety is important. You should have not done that. I heard country Z has been in turmoil for about a month now. I'm glad you came back safely." Grandfather Ye patted her hand.

They talked as if no was there, so this made Elaine awkward.

"Grandfather, Froilan is still here and he brought a beautiful friend with him..." Elaine diverted their topic.

"Hmph! The nerve of that man! He came with some wild woman from time to time to annoy me." The old man snorted angrily with this. He didn't like Louise as her status is not compatible with his grandson.

"Grandfather, we will get going then. Louise has still class after this." Augustus bid farewell and walked away with Louise in tow.

Louise didn't say a word to the old man as she knew that she was never liked. She didn't bother about it.

"Leave my grandson alone! You can go home but he has to stay. We haven't finished our talk yet." Grandfather bellowed angrily upon seeing their intertwined hands.

"Goodbye Old Master." Louise said while she tried to pull her hands out from Augustus. She knew that the old man didn't have a decent impression on her so she tried to leave but Augustus clamped her wrist.

"There's nothing to talk about." Augustus said coldly. If he weren't his grandfather by blood, he could have just bomb this damnable castle to the ground.

"You!.." the old man wa exasperated. He pointed his shaking finger on him.
