The Heavenly Prince's PA

When Chi died in the mortal 21st century world, she ultimately finds herself in the Heavenly Spiritual World thanks to the youngest prince of the Emperor of Heaven. She is to be the personal attendant of the young prince which causes way too many young maids to be jealous. Thus they shut her up into a forbidden room and it automatically sealed itself up. Luckily for Chi, the room happens to be the secret Palace library in which she explored and skimmed the books before finding an amazing spell which allows her mind to connect with the Internet from her previous life. With that, she spent several centuries exploring the Internet, streaming videos, reading fiction, and listening to music while cultivating with the most basic of lessons. By the time someone releases her, Chi discovers that her power level matches to that of the Emperor himself! Luckily, she is still considered to be the youngest prince's personal attendant so the two spend many happy centuries as master and servant. Unfortunately, Chi ends up spoiling her young prince with spiritually rich meals, competent work, and the ability to make connections with benefits. Thus she gets no vacation time. When the young prince gets incarnated into a mortal being as is the rite of passage for young deities, he cheats his way into remembering his old life and calls on Chi to help him deal with his mortal life. Cooking foods that fits his tastes, drawing out spirit rich baths, cleaning his clothes, and helping him escape from persist young ladies. However, when her master orders her to incarnate into a mortal to become a maid for a mortal girl he fancies; Chi refuses. No way in Hell would she be a mortal again - especially in a world where there has been barely any change in evolution or technology for the past several millenia. Furious that his loyal personal attendant refusing his order with good reason, the prince manages to find a way to get her into the mortal world - transmigration. Therefore, Chi is forced to be transmigrated into the mortal world. At least she still has her power level, her fatty armor, her Cauldren of Broken, and several other items from home. If Chi was going to suffer being in the mortal world, she was going to suffer in style. As the personal attendant of a Heavenly Imperial Prince, Chi might as well help out with his love life.

Life is Over and Boring

For one eternal second, Chi felt nothing. It was like her brain was in constant REM sleep. She was at peace with the universe and a part of Chi did not want to leave her current state of being.

It made the realization that she was brought back to life so horrible that Chi wanted to kill the jerk who did it. Her state of mind went from pure peace to instant agony in a nanosecond. Physically she could feel her nerves on fire, the muscles aching in pain, and pressure trying to explode from her brain. Mentally, Chi felt like she was drifting in and out of focus. At times she felt like she was suffering from vertigo.

"...should not do this..."

Who was that speaking? As Chi tried to concentrate a little more with her hearing, she began to notice that she was moving. It took her another minute to realize that she was moving but not by her own volition. Something or someone was carrying her.

"...we have served the royal imperial family for centuries and some mortal trash is chosen by the seventh prince to have the honor as personal attendant? We should..."

The person speaking was a female and had a self important attitude to her voice. It reminded Chi of the later years of her career as Lillian's PA. Lillian's success was quite legendary in the film industry and it was not just because she was pretty. Her success came from making good choices on roles and Chi's ability to manipulate Lillian's schedule to her whims. However only a few people knew the second half of Lillian's success thus a majority of Hollywood employees were jealous of Chi for have an easy going and famous boss.

Many talked behind her back while others confronted Chi about nepotism and her lack of true accomplishments. She always felt hurt about it, but could only allow herself to feel it at sporadic times because work came first and play was better than self pity.

Although this is the first time someone tried to do something physical against her. It appears that the two whiny bitches had something against her about some royal family. Chi wondered what was going to happen and thought it would be better to pay attention.

"...going to disappear if we do not get her to..."

"Her spirit is unstable but she is still strong enough that someone will..."

Spirit?

"There is the forbidden room. No one is allowed there without the Emperor..."

This seemed to excite her captors and Chi blackout when they yanked her body hard towards a direction.

Chi was shivering hard the next time she was conscious. It was as if she was sleeping in a meat locker at some butcher's shop. Where did those bitches take her? Definitely not a meat locker because she could not smell the stink of frozen meat. For a moment a flash of scenes from different horror movies ran through her mind before Chi shook her head to clear the images.

She tried to open her eyes but found that she only had enough energy to shiver and that her eyelids felt like they had weights on them. Panic started to rise in her chest and Chi wanted to scream but found that even attempting to use her vocal cords took too much energy.

Seriously, why was she so weak?

The next few moments were wasted with Chi freaking out about her imminent doom to cursing everything and everyone she knew. The cursing part was prolonged since she started with the people who stuck her in this cold place and realizing that it was hard to curse people that she has never seen before. The she proceed to curse paparazzi, the current president, the jealous co-workers, the asshole actors, the bitchy actresses, the whiny brats, and the list went on and on.

When she finally finished cursing out the last person - herself for getting killed, Chi could barely move. A calm finally cast upon her mind. She could barely think coherently as it appears just rubbing brain cells together took great effort. Warmth, she needed warmth. The only way she was going to survive right now is if she could get warm.

Chi vaguely remembered from one of Lillian's roles as some medical staff that heat came from blood circulation. It was thermodynamics or physiology or both. Either way, she needed to get her blood to start pumping to get that warmth going. She concentrated on the area where her heart is and poured the last bit of her energy towards it.

In an instant, a tiny flood of prickling warmth flowed from her center and into her extremities. It lasted barely a second and faded just as it reached her elbows, but it gave Chi hope. That bit of hope gave her the strength to try again. The second time was just as successful and it felt like it had lasted longer.

Soon Chi was mentally urging her blood to circulate at a furious pace. If she could voice her thoughts out loud, it would have sounded like a super fast chant.

"Getwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarmgetwarm."

With each pulse of warmth, she could feel herself get stronger and more alert. She could feel the tips of her fingers and found herself slowly wriggling her toes. Her breathing became steady and her cramped muscles began to relax. Finally, Chi slowly opened her eyes to peer around.

It was a blur of burnish gold, dark brown, and light jade green. She tried to get her eyes to focus but it was as if her pupils could not decided to expand or retract. For a moment, it disrupted the rhythm of her mental circulation. Closing her eyes again, Chi took a couple of deep calming breaths before slowly opening her right eye a crack.

The vision from her eye was still blurry, but not enough to prevent Chi from guessing what this room was. The tall dark brown rectangle shapes look like some type of shelves. The golden blur seem to surround the very air thus she concluded that the walls and possibly the ceiling were painted gold. That left the jade green blur to be the floor. She could not see any obvious light fixtures but there had to be some since she could see the colors and shapes.

Wait - over at the horizon, she could see a small speck of light. However it was too far from her position to see what it is. Chi tried to get up into a standing position, but her arms and legs refuse to move anywhere away from the ground. The lack of ability to stand frustrated her for a moment before she started to crawl with her belly on the ground.

For a moment, Chi was surprised at the lack of belly fat that she remember lamenting about to Lillian several weeks ago. She rolled on her back and began a pat down on her body.

Her stomach was actually flat. She could feel actual muscle covered with just a thin layer of fat. Thankfully there was not a chocolate bar six pack otherwise Chi would have seriously freaked out. Right now, she was fascinated that she no longer had a belly. Then she felt her upper arms to discover that she now own a pair of tone arms.

As she continue to feel as much as possible in her position, Chi had an idea that her body had changed from overweight to a body that was perfectly toned and shaped. Her general size and shape were the same in terms of bone structure, shape and size of her breasts, height, and possibly her face; but it seems that something or someone had cut down all the unnecessary fat and shaped her body until it was at its peak condition.

Like every female in the world, Chi was so pleased that her body had slimmed down that she wriggled on the floor in a happy dance. Then she remembered something odd during her self examination.

Someone had changed her clothes. Now this was understandable since she was pretty sure that her old clothes must have been covered with blood, bone, and tissue. What was odd was the style of the clothing.

It reminded Chi of those clothes that ghosts wears in those Chinese period dramas. The color was pure white and when she pressed the sleeve to her face for a closer look; the cloth was so fine that she could barely see the weaving. After struggling to lift her leg to take a peek at her foot, Chi could see that it was covered with a pure white sock and slipper.

Lying on the floor, Chi began to think about what she knew and what she was seeing.

She had died. There was no beating around the bush about that part. Some crazy dude killed her in public. This fact caused her to shiver before Chi quickly put that fact aside as done. Two, she is now alive again. Other than feeling a little cold and weak, Chi did not feel any type of severe pain. Whatever injuries she had suffer from the crazy dude, they were now gone. Three, Chi is still in her own body. Granted, it was a body in peak condition verse the flabby one she had before, but still her own body. Four, she was currently wearing ancient Chinese clothing.

That last fact brought on thoughts of that beautiful little boy she had met just before her death. Little Feng Kai, what did he called himself again? The seventh prince of some royal family? That bought Chi to another tangent thought about those two whiny bitches complaining about serving the Imperial Royal family.

It would be her shitty luck that those two incidents could be related.

But that would mean...

Chi shook her head at the impossible complicated thoughts. She did not have time to freak out anymore. She needed to get out and find some way to get help.

Crawling on her belly took more effort than she was willing to expend. Lying on the floor, Chi experimented with rolling towards the light and found it more to her liking. As she continue to roll, stopping at intervals to make sure she was going the right direction, Chi conjured some music in her mind and hummed Louis Prama's 'Sing Sing Sing' to create her own background music.

If there was a movie where the protagonist has to roll on the floor, 'Sing Sing Sing' would make a great choice for the background music to the scene.

As she rolled closer, the air around her was getting warmer. This made Chi roll faster as she was getting tired of trying to keep herself warm. Thankfully her clothing did not tangle her body. The light was gaining in size as she grew closer to it. However once her eyes were able to see clearly, Chi groaned in frustration at the sight.

The bright light was nothing more than a large crystal like lamp. It was situated upon a beautifully carved wooden table with a matching chair. If Chi were more aware, she would have admired the skill of the artisan. Each piece of the table and chair was carved carefully in perfect symmetry. Polished and carefully varnished so the color of the wood glowed. The decorative cravings were created with a tool that defied anything made by man.

"Just my luck." She mumbled before closing her eyes.

The combination of the warmth radiating from the lamp, the amount of energy she expanded from rolling, and the possibility that she had just return back to life into another world; Chi decided that sleep was the best idea she had all day.

The third time she woke up, Chi was feeling much better and strong enough to stand up. Looking around, she could clearly see that this room was some sort of library judging from the infinite shelves of books and were those wooden scrolls?

"Did I just became the Librarian?"
