100 Unspoken Emotions

An image flashed before Korbin's mind. Looking around his surroundings, with a tint of horror, he realized that he was back as a child.

A sudden moment of panic set in, and he could feel beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. He hadn't felt fear in such a long time, and now that he felt it, he was reminded of why he had chosen to have his emotions removed in the first place.

Surprisingly, he found that he could recall all of the details so clearly.

There was a row of bright red candles lit in the corner, casting long shadows that seemed like horrible ghouls. As the scarlet beads of wax melted, it looked like the candles were shedding blood red tears.

His father finally returned from a long journey abroad, and although he spent so long trying to paint a formal portrait of his father, he didn't even know if he could spot his father in the crowd.
