Another Side to Daphne (1)

Korbin gingerly undressed Daphne, careful to not let the fabric from her dress scrape against her wounds. Yet, despite his best efforts, a little bit of the sleeve still brushed against Daphne's arms.

Daphne tried to hide her wince, but he still caught a glimpse of it.

Gritting his teeth, he motioned to tear open the dress instead.

"Don't tear the dress. That dress is worth many weeks if not a month of a seamstress's hard work."

Her face was pale from all the back and forth, the blood rushing to stain her bandages instead. The intense series of emotional twists from before had sapped up most of her energy.

Yet, her tone was unyielding as she enunciated each and every word.

"Just do what you need to do and pull the dress away. Don't worry about me." Daphne smiled, a bit tired as she tried her best to keep the corners of her mouth up.

"Daphne, you know it's all right if you let down your guard in front of me, right?"
