Mattheus took it slow as he walked down the wharf, a yawn making itself known as he tried to get rid of his sea legs. 

This was the second time he snuck out to gather fish. Luckily or unluckily, people at the Basilean palace didn't expect him to be up and about until mid-morning, and fisherman started their day when it was still pitch-dark for hours yet.

So no one noticed his trips out. Or, at least, didn't bother to stop him.

But damn, what a kick to his sleep schedule this was.

Even if he managed to get a bit of napping time in today during their trip out into the deeper waters, now that he was somewhat used to the path out and the rocking of the boat.

"Mattheus—" Brunilda started.
