Betrayal:-

After talking to the husband-and-wife pair for a few minutes I get to know a little bit about the place and world I am in. I find out that this world is called Arcadia where magic is very prevalent and the place that I am currently in is called the Occult Empire. From this, I also found out that the forest that I walked out of is known as the Hollow Forest a Grade 2 hunting ground and habitat. From this, I found out how lucky I was to not get attacked throughout my walk in the forest as that would have been certain death for me.

After having a little chat with Oscar, I found out that the power system of this world is related to the Classes one receives when they turn 18 which is symbolised through a crest they'll receive at that age. From this, I also found out that not all people receive crest there are some albeit too few to count that don't receive it. They as a collective are called the Forbidden Ones and are looked down upon by the general public as they are seen as heretics who have lost the favour of GODS by whom the crest is gifted by.

At first, when I found out that people here could use magic, I was stocked for some reason from the bottom of my heart I felt as if a long wish of mine was fulfilled but when I heard the latter part my world came crashing down all my hopes and dreams for the future were shattered. At this moment the only emotion that I felt was anger and disappointment. Anger towards the GODS that didn't give me a crest and disappointment in myself for naïvely thinking it was going to be that easy.

-NIGHTTIME-

The husband-and-wife pair went into their tent to sleep while I was on guard duty. Looking into the dark yet starry sky I started to wonder for the first time since the awakening who I was where I came from and why I was here and along the lines of these thoughts, my mind returned to yet again question why I wasn't given a crest.

The more I thought about it the angrier I started to get but before my thoughts could continue any longer, I started hearing noises coming from the forest because of which I woke up Oscar and Ella. from this I knew it was showtime I go and wake up the husband-wife pair.

"Hey, Oscar and Ella, you guys need to wake up I think there might be a wild animal out there I have been hearing it move near the camp for some time," I say.

After waking up and rubbing his eyes for a minute or two both of them start putting their armour back on.

Oscar while looking at my worried face says "Worry not friend these animals are nothing to be scared of the ones in the outer ring forest are quite weak." he says reassuringly.

"Yea but just for the safety measure, you shouldn't let your guard down," I say.

After getting ready for battle, we stay in the camping area with our guards up. But even after what seemed like 15 minutes no monster Oscar started to get impatient and asked me "Are you sure you hear a monster, not some small animal running around."

"I assure you Oscar what I heard was a monster but it seems like its stalking us and waiting for us to let our guards down and go back to bed so how about you and me go into the forest and clear it up then go back to sleep so we won't have to keep worrying about it," I say.

"Well, you do make a point. Ella hands him your spare sword and guard the camp while we go and have a look" says Oscar to which Ella nods.

After leaving the camp in the dark forest I start chatting with Oscar "So this is your sword hun look nice. So, what does it do and how do you summon it from thin air?"

"Oh, this yea it's pretty neat and to your second question it allows me to use sword skills that come with my Swordsmen class and as to how I summon well once people receive their classes and crest they are able to keep one weapon which is their primary weapon in the space in this crest specifically made for this by the courtesy of the gods."

"Oh, that makes sense so can I use it or is this sword only usable by you because it is your primary weapon?" I ask.

"No no other can still use it if they steal it from me this is the rame for all the others too this is the main reason people keep the primary weapons in their crest space and mostly carry another weapon with them so even if their first weapon is stolen, they still have their primary weapon which increases the attack/defence power of their skills alike which is also the reasons in combat people try to steal is disarm you of your primary weapon," he tells me going into great detail.

After getting the answer to questions that have been bothering me for a while, I grin at him and speak.

"Well, I do thank you for all that you have done for me Oscar but I am afraid our time has sadly come to an end."

As soon as I finish saying this, I jam the sword I was holding in my hand into his neck-breaking his windpipe and decapitating him with a smile on my face.

Though what made me smile the most was the look on Oscar's face a face of betrayal and despair a face of a man whose world had been turned upside down.

While looking at Oscar's body I smile and say "Oscar, Oscar, Oscar my friend this play has sadly come to an end yet you shouldn't worry as not only will I make great use of this sword of yours but also that wife of yours she seems innocent and easy to miniplate. Well, I hope in your next life you don't trust others as much as you did towards me yet this is only a meaningless hope of mine. " saying as I move towards his sword and as soon as I touch it something appears in my field of vision.
