Chapter 15

"Please, Prince Nimrod and Princess Helena, we have arranged your rooms according to your orders," said one of the maids carrying Princess Helena's bags, her voice tinged with reverence and servitude.

Prince Nimrod, a man of regal stature with a countenance marked by both authority and mystery, lowered his head slowly. He extended a gracious gesture, allowing his wife, Princess Helena, to ascend the grand staircase first. Princess Helena, still grappling with the unfamiliarity of her new palace, hesitated momentarily before accepting her husband's chivalrous offer. She cautiously placed her hand in his, an action fraught with the weight of unspoken sentiments. Prince Nimrod's heart raced; he knew all too well that Princess Helena would not readily embrace his overtures of affection. Yet, he was undeterred, determined to bridge the chasm that had silently grown between them.
