44 Prison Break

Within two days since her capture, heather had already escaped her cell a total of 23 times

Her methods had varied from escaping on bathroom breaks to straight up overpowering the guards, she had gotten out so many times that the raiders had to establish a set of shifts so one of them was always present to bring her back to heel, and at present, it was his and Astrids shift

"You can break out as many times as you like!" Astrid yelled from atop Stormfly as she looked down at heather who was currently glaring up at them from her small sailboat, which was currently taking on water due to how many holes Delvin and Snap-pine had poked in it "we'll just keep throwing you back in!" she shouted triumphantly as stormfly swooped down and picked up the girl in her talons

"Please! I have to get to outcast island!" Heather shouted as she struggled vainly in the claws of dragon, sounding as desperate as she had for the past few days as they flew back to the village at high speed

"So you can what?" Astrid demanded, looking slightly smug, which was kind of fair, as his cousin had more reason than most to dislike the girl "give them more of Berks secrets, a secret passage into the hall perhaps?"

"We have one of those?" Delvin asked, tilting his head towards her as he flew in sync beside her and came in for a landing outside Buckets fishing storage, a building that had become Heather's makeshift prison

"Probably" Astrid shrugged as she also came in for a landing, stormfly roughly dropping heather so as not to land on her but wrapping her tail around so as not to let her escape, the nadder, much like her master, was none too pleased with heather at the moment

As they walked in Delvin ignored the struggles and pleas of heather as he held her by the elbow and literally dragged her into her cell before shutting the door behind him and moving out of Astrids way as she walked past the bars

"Give up heather," She said, sounding like a parent scolding a petulant child, "we have dragons! You have no way off the island that we can't catch you"

"Please Astrid! Delvin! I need to get back to the island!" Heather begged as she ran up to the bars, sending them each a pleading look, "Alvin has my parents!"

That made him pause

"I thought you said they died in the pirate attack?" Astrid said as she placed the keys for the cell in a chest

"There was never any pirate attack, I made it all up" Heather admitted, looking at her feet

"Clearly," Delvin said blankly, sending her a sarcastic look

"But I had to! I needed you to trust me!" She said, panicking as He and Astrid began to walk away

"Well we don't" Astrid answered

"Never did" Delvin shrugged as he followed his cousin out of the room

It was a few hours after he and Astrid had chucked Heather in her cell and the Riders were practicing Battle tactics and maneuvers, something hiccup had seen as extremely necessary seeing as they needed to get the book of dragons back from Alvin

"Remember we only have one shot at this!" Hiccup reminded as he watched the riders each work on their own dragons

"You know i can't handle the pressure!" Fishlegs complained as he attempted to do a complex maneuver revolving around spinning meatlug in a circle and spraying hot lava in every direction, only to crash into one of the arena's walls and fall to the ground "See!"

"Dammit! Too Early snotlout!" Astrid yelled in frustration as he and the twins once more failed their own battle tactic, they were supposed to work together to create a large explosion by combining nightmare gel and Zippleback gas but every time they attempted Snotlout either got distracted or the twins intentionally sabotaged him

"It's not my fault" He cried as he pointed at the snickering twins "they were too late!"

Ignoring them Delvin walked over to hiccup, standing beside him and crossing his arms as he looked at the others "you know, all this is great, but it's not worth much if we don't have the book" he said, looking down at the smaller boy who also was wearing a tired expression as he looked at the others "cramming knowledge and new battle maneuvers won't do us much good now, seeing as we have little to no time to master them"

'Yeah, I agree" Hiccup said, nodding his head sadly as he laid a hand on the head of toothless, ignoring the shouts of the twins as they abruptly set themselves on fire somehow "but this is all we can do to prepare for trying to invade outcast island"

"We might not have to do that" A voice sounded from behind them as Astrid walked over "Alvin might not give us the book, but we know someone he might"

"Heather?" Hiccup asked, looking shocked at the suggestion before a hint of resentment entered his eyes "Astrid we know we can't trust her, she's working for Alvin"

"I'm not saying we should send Heather-" Astrid began before Delvin interrupted her

"She's saying we send someone who looks like her"
