39 Ormendahlis [Chapter 39]
As I dart down the hallway, I feel a heavy feeling. No [Dread Hounds] guard the large green door. As I quickly slam it open, a large finger pokes me through the open door. I get knocked back by the 3 foot wide finger.

I grit my teeth and see the finger pull back. As I quickly run into the room I see a black and green giant with no eyes and 4 large horns. It has one short arm and one long arm.

[Evlim, Demon Herald]
As it stumbles forward, I leap up towards its neck. It looks around quickly as I swing towards its throat. Before my blade reaches it, he appears behind me. It reaches out to grab me but I manage to slice off a finger, forcing it to pull its hand back.
[23 Seconds Until Buffs Wear Off]
"[Teleport 1]."
I appear behind its neck and jam my dagger into the nape of its neck. As it reaches back to grab me, I pull myself down and cut all the way down its back. The open wound reveals its spinal column. With one swift cut, I jam my dagger in and pull the spine out slightly.
It falls to its knees without making a noise, but clearly is shaking from pain. Blood pours from the wounds, creating a puddle under my feet. As I start to cut it again, blood wraps around my feet and solidifies. Without thinking I cut the solidified blood and jump back.
What was that?
I think, watching it slowly stand up. Its spine cracks and pops while standing up.
[17 Seconds Until Buffs Wear Off]
It slowly turns towards me and sniffs the air. I once more leap towards it. In midair, it swings towards me and tilts its head.
"[Teleport 1]."
I once again appear behind it and slice the nape of its neck even more, further opening the wound. I quickly put my left hand to the wound and scream.
"[Titans PyroBlast]! [Titans PyroBlast]!"
2 shots of the PyroBlast rip through its throat and fill its body with scorching flames. Its body drops to the floor with me falling on top of it.
"That one had no eyes, I wonder why."
I mumble as I stand up.
[14 Seconds Until Buffs Wear Off]
[Mini-Boss Slain!]
I quickly dash back to the main room and look around.
"Only one tunnel left, must be the boss room ahead. These buffs will wear off soon, and I don't want to fall unconscious while fighting any Mini-Boss, much less the main Boss."
I say as I lean against the large dead demon and relax. After about 12 seconds the buffs wear off.

I feel a ripping pain as I fall over, unable to move or make a sound. A throbbing agony, every pulse of my heart completely destroying my body with pain. I black out.
What feels like seconds go by, I slowly open my eyes and attempt to stand up. No use.
Does using buffs back to back increase the side effects? It would make sense, but why am I alive? I fell well below what my HP is, so why am I still alive? Unless, can the side effects from buffs not kill me?
I attempt for several minutes to move my fingers and hands. After a period of intense concentration, I manage to regain movement. I still can barely move, so I slowly stand up amd stretch. For almost half an hour, I stretch and regain the ability to walk and move normally.
"If I use those buffs again, it'll be even worse on my body. The drawback might be exponential, but if I can defeat the final boss and level up first."
I think for a moment before nodding.
"I'll use my spells as soon as I enter the room. I'll throw everything I have at the final boss, see if I can defeat him before the buffs wear off. If I don't, then I'm as good as dead."
I mumble to myself as I walk down the final hallway. A few steps in, and blue flames line the walls of the spiraling tunnel. I walk through, going ever-downward. After several minutes I start running. The tunnel slowly gets large and wider, leading up to a large metal door.
I attempt to push the door open, but to no avail. It's too heavy, and won't budge. I take a deep breath before putting on my ring and crown that I'd been saving.
Should make me roughly 10 times stronger.
I think as I put my hands to the door and slowly push it open. It takes everything I have to push it even slightly. As I peek into the room I see a large room. The ceiling is about 200 feet high and the room looks to be almost 400 feet across.

[Ormendahlis, Prince of Nihilism]
A large demon, with black bone jutting from his face where his eyes should be, stands in the middle of the room. He stands about 20 feet tall and has 2 huge wings. In his right hand is a large double sided axe, and a longsword in his left. As it takes a deep breath, I feel a piercing pain in my heart.
His presence alone hurts me. This demon is on a whole new level.
I pull back and sit outside the door for a moment.
"This fight will be difficult, I need to see what all spells I may be able to use."
I think for a moment, trying to come up with a plan.
"If I wanted to wait for reinforcements, it'd be at least a day."
I mumble as I feel my stomach growl. I sigh and stand up.
"No, I'm gonna do this."
I quickly walk through the cracked door and stare at the demon.
"[Field of Anger 5], [Field of Life 5], [Bloody Wraith 5], [Wrath 5]."
[All Stats Increased 5X]
[Regeneration Increased 5X]
[Speed and Strength Increased 20X]
[Strength Increased 10X]
[30 Seconds Until Buffs Wear Off]
It looks to me and laughs before readying its weapons.
