49 Eingrast [Chapter 49]

I stumble back to everyone and grit my teeth. Vex speaks up.

"Who was that girl, or those people that appeared?"

I glare towards him and pop my shoulders.

"Her name was Mariana. I didn't catch the other's names."

Warren quickly speaks up.

"If they are part of a guild, they probably aren't registered with the administration. I'm pretty sure I heard her say her score was sixty-five-thousand, meaning they must all be around that strength."

Warren mumbles as I take a deep breath and close my eyes.

"Whatever, I'm sure they're keeping an eye on our guild. I won't let this dissuade me from my goal."

I say as everyone nods slightly, except for Vex. He speaks up.

"Are we looking for that guy still?"

He asks calmly while scratching his neck. I shake my head.

"I can't explain it, but I feel like I've already seen him. We currently are far stronger that any other S-Class guilds, so my point for wanting him is pointless. My goal, to kill WolfPack."

I pop my knuckles while Azeroth smiles.

Even with less HP, I should be fine to take down WolfPack.

I think while stretching. Blankk laughs and points to me.

"You sure you won't need some new clothes?"

He asks jokingly as I look at my torn and ripped clothes. I think for a moment before nodding and stretching my legs.

"So, are we running again, or?"

I ask while looking to Vex. He laughs and shakes his head.

"Well, where do we want to go? I'm not sure where WolfPack's main guild outpost is, so I'll need some directions."

He says while Warren yawns and nods.

"Well, I'm pretty sure they stay in the town of Eingrast, only a few days from Hasteria."

He says as I quickly look to him.

"Wait, you mean to tell me that their outpost was so close to us, yet you didn't tell me, when we found you?!"

I shout as he blankly stares at me.

"Yep."

His calm voice signals that he doesn't fear me at all.

"Because you were too weak at that time. I wouldn't willingly walk into death after having such a long life, but now, I'm all for getting rid of that scum. Each of us is strong enough to avoid massive risk."

Warren says as I sigh and nod. As I blink, I hear Vex speak up.

"[Mass Umbra Shift 2]."

In the blink of an eye, we all fall into a small pond next to a large barn. As I float to the top of the water, I see Vex laughing.

"Whoops, looks like I traded places with some moss. I still don't have a good control over that ability."

He says as we walk out of the pond and onto the dirt and grass. As we look around, we see an old man with a large hat sitting on a porch looking at us.

"Mind explaining where y'all came from?"

He asks calmly while staring at us. I slowly walk towards him, pulling off the wet and ripped shirt that was clinging to me. I keep my weapons fastened to me.

"We are looking for Eingrast, do you know how to get there?"

I ask as the old man sighs and reaches behind him, pulling out a short sword.

"Listen, youngsters, I just want to know where you came from."

I stare at him and nod.

"We came from a few hundred miles that way. We were trying to teleport to Eingrast, but I think we missed."

I say while pointing north. The old man nods and looks at everyone, specifically Azeroth who is slowly climbing out of the water.

"That looks an awful lot like the kid who was cheating in games a few weeks ago."

The old man says as I narrow my eyes and smile.

"He's with me, just tell me where Eingrast is."

He sighs and puts his sword behind his chair.

"About a mile up the road, you barely missed it."

He leans back and covers his eyes with his hat.

"I want you to be off my property by the time I open my eyes."

I sigh and wave for everyone to follow me. As we walk off his property, we see a dirt road leading towards a town in the distance. We see a few houses lining the way with several people outside talking. We quickly start walking down the dirt road. While walking, Vex speaks up.

"I think my [Mass Umbra Shift] teleports us miles equal to my level, and of course the second level doubles the distance. I think I can get us anywhere now."

Vex says as I smile.

"Good, we have transportation for our missions."

I reply as we quickly approach the large town. As we get close to the front gate, several people stare at us. A few women wave at me, but I roll my eyes and keep walking. As we enter the town, a few guards wave at us.

"Weird, they don't seem suspicious of us at all."

Blankk says as Azeroth speaks up.

"Yea, which is weird considering we're heavily armed and are being led by a shirtless man covered in dry blood. We're the picture of not suspicious."

He says sarcastically as I see someone run up and smile. A small boy.

"Did you just get back from a hunt, mister?!"

He asks excitedly while looking at my weapons. I kneel down and smile.

"You could say that, I'm actually here for a meeting with WolfPack. Could you show me where they stay?"

I ask with a fake smile as the boy nods excitedly and runs away. We quickly follow him to a large stone building, about 3 stories tall with several windows per floor. I smile and start to pat the boys head but quickly stop.

Damn, would've killed the child if I hadn't stopped.

I hold out my fist and smile.

"Thank you."

The boy quickly puts his fist to mine and nods. As he runs off Warren sighs.

"If only he knew why we were here."

I feel my heart start racing as a man walks out of the building. He freezes upon seeing me. I smile widely and draw my sword.

"It's been a while, how have you been since you murdered my family? Maldu!?"
