8 Class-B Guild: The Guildless [Chapter 8]

"Alright! 'The Guildless' isn't taken!"

She says while flipping through the guild list.

"We just need to figure out your names, and you'll be all set."

She says with a smile as I nod and speak up.

"Do I need to get my Class changed with my score? Since it's higher than my class was?"

I ask as she looks at me and giggles.

"Of course not. You can always scan again if you want, but you never have to update your class."

She replies as I grin evily.

A Class-F with a 600 score. I can't help but grin at the thought of something so humorous.

I think as she gets some papers together and pushes the crystal ball towards us.

"Put your palms on here, and it will brand you with the seal of your guild. But first let's figure out what your symbol will look like."

She says as she places a piece of paper on the table with a pencil. I stare at it for a moment as Azeroth picks it up. He quickly sketches 3 bent lines on 2 sides of a diamond. The diamond falls in the middle of the lines horizontally.

"That's cool, kinda."

Blankk mumbles as I nod, not having any ideas to compete. The woman quickly grabs the paper and holds it to the ball. After a second she puts the paper down, revealing the drawing no longer on it.

"This will be your Guild symbol. Please, your hands?"

She asks as we all look at each other then place our hands on the ball. A small stinging sensation on my palm as it glows faintly black and blue. After a second she pulls the ball away and we look at our hands. I smile as I see the symbol in black on my palm.

"If you ever decide to: leave your guild, recruit new members, or wish to transfer guilds, please visit any Guild Association outpost."

She says with a smile as she extends her arm towards the door. We all walk out and down the hallway. I notice Azeroth staring at his palm while walking down the hall. I watch him for a moment as he smiles slightly and looks up and continues walking.

Guess he's happy to be in a guild as well.

I think as I see several people standing in the main lobby. A few well armored men standing at the door and 1 man with very ornate armor.

"So, I'm assuming you are some of the guys we heard about causing trouble?"

The obvious leader asks as I step passed Blankk and Azeroth to confront him.

"If you're referring to the bloody man in the street, he threw the first punch."

I reply as their leader laughs and looks back at some of his men.

"Even if that was the story, we were told you stood up for a thief and then you pushed for them to fight you by lying about your class. Truth be told, I will always take the word of my own people over the words of outsiders."

He says as I stare at him.

"So who exactly are you?"

I ask as he shakes his head and pushes his thumb against his chest.

"I'm the Class-C of Lestney! Head of the guards, Rorick Ester!"

He shouts and poses in front of his men. one of them starts clapping and cheering.

"With a score of two hundred and ninety nine, I'm the strongest guard in this town."

He says as Blankk and Azeroth both step back. Blankk speaks up.

"He could be trouble, should we just run?"

He asks as I laugh.

"Strongest guard? Who knew the guards were so weak?"

I reply, Rorick getting visually bothered by my statement. He grits his teeth and smiles slightly. He reaches back for his greatsword and laughs.

"The opinions of a Class faker do not matter to me."

He growls as I crack my knuckles and raise my fists.

"I was blessed by the maker with the ability to defeat foes with my overwhelming strength!"

He charges me and takes a heavy swing towards me. Even the difference in our stats, I can tell his strength is either slightly less than mine or equal to mine.

I definitely have the advantage in speed and reflexes, so I'll play this slow.

I think to myself as I duck under his swing. He quickly stops his sword, before slamming it down towards me. I put my hands on the floor and push myself between his legs, punching his left knee as I slide through.

As he falls to left knee, he grunts and forces himself back up.

I think I'll target that leg this whole fight.

I roll to my feet as he takes a quick swing with his sword again. I lean forward to duck under it, then quickly jab his left knee again.

"Stop fighting dirty!"

He yells as I hear metal clanking behind me. As I look back I see the other 3 guards charging me, 2 with spears and 1 with a short sword. I quickly lunge toward one of the spear users, and grab his throat. As the other reacts slowly, I crush his throat and take his spear.

"Bastard!"

The guard with the sword yells as he swings it towards me. I quickly hold up the spear and let him cut it in half. I take the purely wooden half and jam it through his throat, blood pours from the wound as he falls to his knees.

"D-Demon!"

Rorick yells as he cleaves downward with his greatsword. I manage to side step and jam the spear into his unprotected left knee. As he screams in pain, I kick the end of the spear and push it all the way through.

"MAKER PLEASE! HELP ME!"

He screams as the other guard tries to run away. I quickly rip the wooden half from the dead guards throat, blood oozes out as his body rolls over. With one swift throw, I send the wooden half into the fleeing guards ankle. I quickly snap Rorick's neck as I walk over to the crawling guard and crush his thorat.

[+200,000 Exp Gained!]

[Level Gained!]

[Level Gained!]

[Level Gained!]

"Damn, I used a tool. Wait, what level was Rorick?"

I whisper to myself as the woman at the desk giggles.

"Oh my, I feel like I'll see your guild in the news in the future."
