13 Meeting Dou Di, Golden Lion Empress!:

(MC POV)

I was on my way to the Rock Desert City, however I saw a Rank 7 Magic Beast, getting besieged by 10 Rank 8 Magic Beasts, far-away, in a place hidden below the sand in a secluded place in the desert. I could identify it's species, it seemed to be the Golden Lion Empress! I was shocked seeing her. She was the last person left of her species. Their species were said to be suspicious and they had long since died out.

They were well known in the Omniverse as an auspicious species. They were said to be able to awaken multiple divinities at once, when they reach godhood. It looked like she somehow ended up in this world while she was a newborn. She doesn't know the importance of her species. I thought, 'Is this the so called protagonist halo?, Sigh, Whatever, let's protect her. Those beasts seem to be after her bloodline and body treasures anyways. I will not regret killing beings who try to disrupt the balance. They want to steal from others while not working hard themselves.'

(GOLDEN LION EMPRESS POV)

I was on my way to cultivate today. There was nothing different, just the usual routine. However, this changed when the 10 Overlords of the desert Magic Beasts found my bloodline to be special and tried to rob my body of any treasure they could find. I am losing my life force by the minute and will die soon. I thought, 'I would rather kill myself than let myself be killed by these despicable beasts!'

It was then that I saw the most handsome man I had ever seen. He had a smile on his face, which was extremely seductive and at the same time soothing. He wore a blindfold, but it could not hide his beauty. He had a perfect jawline, a body to the utmost precision, and Snow White hair falling a little below his shoulder. He looked like nothing in the world could affect him. I found myself in a trance, till I was woken from my stupor when the man finally spoke.

(MC POV)

I landed between the beasts and spoke, "My apologies, I am going to protect the Lion behind me. If you want to continue, you may fight me. However, you can choose to leave now."

The Beasts stood there, stunned for a moment, before they started to speak up.

One shouted, "How arrogant! You think you can take us all on!"

The others joined in, "Human! I, the Jade Hawk, will tear you to pieces!"

"Hahaha, he actually wants to fight us together! How ridiculous!"

The Lion Empress spoke, "Human, are you sure?" She could see that I looked to be around 16 years old, and me challenging 10 Dou Zun's was nothing short of foolishness.

I did not say anything, and looked around with a smile. I spoke up, "Since nobody wants to live let's start."

Immediately, the Hawk flapped it's wings and shot towards me at full speed. I crossed my middle finger with my index finger and said, [Domain Expansion: Infinite Void]. We entered a mikky world of black and white. All the beasts stopped unnaturally and only the Lion Empress could move who looked around, shocked by the experience. I spoke, "This is why I gave you a chance. Sigh, you let greed blind you and your life. Now, Repent!"

Immediately, my shadow army appeared and slaughtered them in a second and bowed before me. The Lion Empress was now completely stupefied. She was slightly fearful, amazed and utterly shocked by my might. I commanded, "Arise" Ten Shadows far stronger than their previous versions stood up and bowed and burrowed into my shadow as I deactivated the domain. The Empress who saw the 10 Shadows seemed to guess my power, which was completely otherworldly, but she had no choice but to believe in it, since she saw it happen before her eyes.

She thought, 'If this is his power. Then, the beasts he called before and others that he might have, were all killed by him. How could a man have such strength!"

I then looked towards the Empress, She was a golden lion, 15 metres tall, with ruby-like eyes, and Golden-Silver mane. She became nervous noticing me looking at her. The next moment, she heard something which left her surprised. I asked, "Do you want to become my companion. You can refuse, I will not try my hand at anything if you were to do so."

The Golden Lion, although fearful of refusing, identified his sincere attitude, which moved her. She hesitated, but the benefits far outweighed the risks. He was extremely strong and could protect her. She asked, "Why would you want a Rank 7 Magic Beast as your companion?"

I chuckled while pointing at her and said, "Naturally, nobody would invite a Rank 7 Magic Beast to be their companion when you are as strong as me. However, it is different if the said Magic Beast, was a Dou Di in disguise."

She first frowned, thinking I was too prideful, however, she widened her eyes at the next part of the statement. She was a Dou Di using an Avatar to appear on this plane, and she did not expect that someone would find her on a continent such as this.

I chortled and said, "Hehe, What? Surprised?"

She blushed a bit from embarrassment, however, she soon recovered and snorted, "Hmph, You are interesting. I agree to go with you mortal human. However, you have to show me your face. I do not know why you are wearing that blindfold, but, I know that you are not blind."

Yes, I was currently wearing a blindfold, from which I could see, but others could not look at my eyes. I was training my mental power by activating Eye Of Samsara, Six Eyes and Akashic Eyes. However, I had it turned off in the desert due to the high consumption, this is also the reason I could not find the Lion Empress immediately. When activating these eyes, I stand out like a sore thumb, thus, I kept a blindfold on to prevent unwanted problems. I moved my hands to the back of my head and slowly removed the blindfold, while Lion Empress waited with excitement, nervousness and anticipation. Once I removed the blindfold, she was immediately entranced with her eyes as wide as saucers.

My eyes were crystal blue with stars shining in them, and a crimson-gold halo outlining my irises, and three crimson-gold tomoe were attached to the end of my irises and were rotating, seemingly sucking in everything in existence.

I finally, put the blindfold back on and the Empress came out of her stupor and stuttered in amazement, "W .. what was t-that? N-no, What a-are you? Why are your e-eyes ..?"

I chuckled looking at her, who lost her composed self so easily, while she turned beet red realising her actions, but she was still extremely curious about my appearance. I said, "Secret. If I ever come to see you as a companion, friend or someone trustworthy, I will tell you the reason behind this."

She looked at me and knew that I would not reveal the reasons easily to a stranger. She had thought that she was quite mysterious and otherworldly, however, she could not figure out anything about this man. He seemed to know her identity, yet was unfazed by it, she could not tell if his 2-Star Dou Huang cultivation was his true cultivation or not, and his appearance was godly. The only thing she knew was that he had a soothing, benevolent and calm aura surrounding him.

She then looked me in the eyes and said, "Fine I will accompany you." She then turned into a golden-silver cat and jumped onto my shoulders and we left to meet Hai Bodong.
