To Blair’s disgust, the young woman opts to take Xan to the facility, where she is to meet with Freya. Now, Blair could've left the man at the rest area and he could get a ride from another person, but she could already sense the guilt and regret hit her in the stomach, causing it to suddenly make drop like an elevator shaft. It wasn't the guilt of leaving Xan alone and giving him a ride. It was the guilt of another innocent person, male or female, getting caught up in the Division of the Tenth's mess. This was something Blair can not live with.
