Enrollment Day I

To be fair, I didn't really think much of it being cruel. Not like the ones I used to live in. This world has much more freedom than my world that believes in it.

But what can I do if people think the same thing here?

That's pretty much a thing everywhere after all. I can't just change their view by simply convincing them.

I took a sip from the apple juice before giving the lady a tip. After that, I left for my quarter. I rest, laid my face towards the soft pillow and closed my eyes.

...

Morning came, the sun illuminated my room with nothing to block it. The warming inside felt a little comfortable after bearing a cold room. I slept for a bit even after the sun has finally rise, until a knock was heard from my door.

"Breakfast!"

It was a cute little voice, a voice coming from a little girl. It must be from the owner's second daughter.

For a second, I fought my own body a battle worth dying for. Then took my time to stand up from the morning eyes. Finally, I was able to reach the doorknob and open it wide where it reveal a little person standing, holding a bucket of water.

She smile, I smile. We smile like an idiot.

"Ella, goodmorning to you. What a lovely day to see a beautiful girl first thing."

"M-Mister Vien! D-Don't speak!"

She's really cute, she's the type of daughter you would fight even the king just to protect her.

"Here! Breakfast is ready, mom said to go down!"

Blushing, she gave me the bucket.

"Yes, your highness."

What a wonderful day to be alive.

I said my goodbye to the lady and close the door. Basic hygiene took place and after that, I left for the breakfast.

It's early in the morning but the place is already crowded. With many people already gossiping here and there, fortunately a place where I can be myself was spotted near the window. It was the perfect place to have my breakfast.

"Mister Vien, we have boiled egg, a soup and a bread."

"Yes, may I have those?"

"Certainly."

Upon sitting, I was met by the 1st daughter of the owner. Her name is Ash, a brown haired girl, with a perfect body figure and childish face. She is an example of a good girlfriend.

Well, sadly, I don't have that similar feature. Yes, I was given grace by the guardian, but to ask further than that is already shameless enough.

"Here is your food, tell me if you need something else."

"Sure do."

I like my egg half boiled, so when I took a bite from it, it was satisfying. It was perfectly cooked, the yolk is also pretty creamy making it more beautiful.

Before mesmerizing the egg, I took a sip from the soup. It was the best, perfectly heated. The flavor in it is simple, like porridge.

And for the bread, it's warm naturally. The texture is also good, but the taste is better. There is a cheese in it I can't help but admire.

How did they even came up from such rich food, yet still at this technological pace?

It was a mystery.

-----

Now for the flower shop. Today is my first day, being late at my first day will ruin my impression. I headed towards the direction where I last took and for a few walk and intersections, I saw the sign of the flowery shop.

"Good morning."

I entered but to my surprise, the lady before was nowhere to be seen. It was a boy of my age that currently sit at the back.

"May I help you?"

He sound disgruntled, and look at me with a sharp gaze.

Those stare didn't really affect me, and continue to voice my intention.

"I am here to start working as a deliveryman. It would be appreciated if I start working."

"Huh, never heard of you, please leave."

"Ah, no. Of course, maybe not. It was the lady that I talked to, yesterday. Perhaps she know."

"She's not here, leave."

"Please, at least consider. I came this early knowing I will start working."

"Don't care."

This man is getting on my nerves. What the hell is this brat even doing here.

"If you don't leave I will make you, so please?"

"I applied yesterday, the lady accept. I sincerely ask of you to consider asking her."

My eyes didn't change, but my tone seem to differ.

"Oh? Well if I don't?"

Dealing with such a brat is truly full of headache, it would be troublesome if something happen here.

"Then, I'll take my leave."

Maybe I just arrived too early. It won't hurt to return later, perhaps I could leave for the academy since today's the start of enrollment.

I left the shop and head towards the school, a large building soon met my gaze as I approach it. The academy has similar structure of Harvard, I also heard it's fairly new, being constructed just five years ago.

The academy is situated right in the middle of a park, similar to a plaza. Right next to the school is numbers of building dedicated for school related materials.

It was a nostalgic feeling, similar to ours. Most vendors travel on foot everyday just to sell their food or school supplies.

When I saw that the gate has opened, I enter along with other examinees. I mesmerize from the feature inside. Though I am still in front of the buildings, the cleanliness unlike outside is flawless.

"To our examinees, please head straight to this place."

We were instructed to move towards a building in which a sign says "Enrollment hall", it was a pretty simple sign that helps us understand it.

Along the way, I met gaze with a certain someone. The person has blue eyes, blonde, the person is beautiful but seem to be in a bad mood.

"Oy, the prince!"

So it was the prince. What must've it felt to become a royalty served by an entire country?
