1 CHAPTER 1 - "The Beginning of Ending"

2 Samuel 24:15-16

So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning until the appointed time, and seventy thousand men of the people from Dan to Beersheba died. When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD relented from the calamity and said to the angel who destroyed the people, "It is enough! Now relax your hand!" And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

SAYA'S POV:

"How did it start?" repeating in my head. My blonde long wavy hair, My Anello backpack, and my uniform got soaked from the rain. I can even feel the water inside my shoes. At the damn horrors of the morning, I could have screamed aloud; I sought with tears and prayers to strangle down the huge crowd of hideous images and sounds with which my memory swarmed against me.

"Why did you do that?" asking myself crazily. "Why?" I whispered. Then I stop walking. It's fierce wet rain, but here I am standing in the middle of the streetlights. Nowhere to be found.

I want to scream like a crazy woman in a mental hospital. People stop walking and start staring at me. I still have my ID hanging on my neck. They are now analyzing it.

A man in his 50's grab my shoulder and ask me. "Hey, Student! Are You Fine? You seem not good at all. Did you get lost?"

Then it starts again. The time, the date, and the exact thing. That thing again!

"JULY 3, 2020 at 11:30 pm, you're going to die."

I carefully look at him, the date and time were written on the top of his head with his printed Name.

JULY 3, 2020/11:30 PM

"It's a boy, he has a gun pointing at you and you said, stop please, and I'm begging you, Larry!"

The man looks disturbed, he pushes me off to the ground "You're a crazy bitch! What? I'm going to die?! Why my child will kill me tomorrow night?! The heck, what are you saying?!" I could see the worry lines. He's tired, has worn face, and wrinkles boring deeply into his skin. His expression was of frustration and fatigue.

Crazy stuff, right? Even I, myself can't figure it out though. This unimaginable thing happened to me so suddenly. And at the very moment of that vainglorious thought, a doubt came over me, horrid nausea and the most deadly shuddering.

This thing, it happened 1hr ago at the train station. Today is part of the normal day I have. Woke up at 6:30 am, go to school by train at 7:10 am. I'm kind of rich, but I chose the simple life where I can encounter different kinds of people and who knows? My destiny. Just kidding. My Aunt can't take me to school because there's an urgent matter that happened in her boutique. But like what I said this normal day has turned into darkness. It's like I possessed by something unusual.

By the way, I am Saya Menesis. A third-year senior student in Manila high school. I am 5'5 ft. tall and have a body that everyone envies. 18 yrs. old. My Mom got died right after I got born. My Grandfather doesn't even want to see me. He loathed me because I killed his beloved daughter.

Anyway, back at riding a subway. I prefer this simple routine for going to school. It's a 10-minute walk away from my house. Walking will improve your fitness and reduce your risk of heart disease. Another bluff.

So I enter the train then look for a space to stand or sit, wait for the train to starts moving.

The door is still open, many people continue entering the train that will immediately leave. I was standing in the middle part of the train when this guy, the same age as me bumped me accidentally.

Then a vision starts. An unexplainable vision occurred surprisingly.

Date, Time, and the moment as if you're in that specific area or place.

July 2, 2020, 7:30 am a man entered the subway, he has a small bomb on his body. He shouted that he will kill us once he pressed the button in his right hand.

"NO!" I shouted like a crazy woman.

"I said sorry. I apologized" the guy said while looking so overwhelming.

"Hey! Is it hurt? Did I hurt you? Why are you crying??" he continues, He's going to wipe the tears in my right eye but,

"What time is it?" then I furiously grab his watch to check the time. 7:27 am. "3-Mins," I whispered.

"Hey! I'm asking~"

"I'm fine." interrupts him. "But we are all going to die. I need your help. You need to scream like a crazy man saying get off now the train!" while looking at him seriously.

"Hmm... Seriously?" he asks with pondering on his face. I just stare at him viciously.

"We are going to die! Get off the train now!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Then I ran like hell to the door, take my exit and look for the guard.

"Security! You need to stop the train now! The next station, a man there, will enter the train with a bomb he's going to blast that train!" but instead of listening to, he gave the go signal to the train and it leaves after.

Luckily, there are few who listened and take their exits before it leaves, with pondering faces of course.

"What?! I said you need to stop the train! Why did you still let it leave?" I don't know what to do if my vision were true. This security will regret his decision for the rest of his life for sure.

"Hey! Kiddo, If you don't want to go to school today much better to go home now instead of doing a prank here in a public area" he said seriously while pointing his baton at me.

Then the blast happened. The fire, the smoke, and the noise from different people who are screaming for help.

"What the hell!" the security guard exclaimed and all the people who listened to me and take their exits, suddenly stare at me.

"Who are you? How~" The Security Guard murmurs at me.

"What the hell. How did she able to know it?" An old lady murmur.

"Is she some sort of fortune-teller?" An old man mumble.

"OMG. Luckily, we listened to her. But, how she manages to know it? Maybe she's an accomplice of the suspect" a young lady mutter.

Upon hearing those ridiculous comments and questions, I unconsciously ran away from them. I ran to the nearest exit. It's raining. I don't have my umbrella with me. The siren of the ambulance and police cars were all over the area.

I continue running away from the subway station like a thief who just stole someone's purse.

"How did it start?" repeating in my head. My blonde long wavy hair, My Anello backpack, and my uniform got soaked from the rain. I can even feel the water inside my black shoes.

"Why did you do that?" asking myself crazily. "Why?" I whispered. Then I stop walking. It's fierce wet rain, but here I am standing in the middle of the streetlights. Nowhere to be found.

Am I still human? Am I still normal or maybe today is the day when I'm going to turn to a crazy lady or I'm dreaming. Yeah! I'm just dreaming. This is totally a nightmare! I pinched myself to check if I'm really just dreaming.

"Aw!" it hurts. So it's not, sadly.

It's not a dream or a nightmare. So what is this? Why it's happening to me.

"Why? Why?!" Scream like a crazy woman in a mental hospital.

"JULY 3, 2020 at 11:30 pm, your gonna die."

I carefully look at him, the date and time were written on the top of his head with his printed Name.

All the people start murmuring and keep glancing at me like I'm a crazy woman who needs to confine in the hospital. I'm frozen solid. I don't know what to do. I feel shattered. I was paralyzed to the spot, the menacing aura holding me in a tightening grip.

The time stops so suddenly, there's no murmurs or even a sound, I only hear footsteps. A footstep coming towards me. I slowly move my head up to check who could it be.

It's a well-dressed handsome man. He wears a black tuxedo suit with a black hat. He has this white envelope in his right hand. He carefully opens it, its card with a person's name.

"Saya Menesis" He mentions my name. Wait. It's my name. Why he's calling my name.

"You're not dead yet?" he asks me with a confused face. "You supposed to be dead now"

Wait. Loading...

What? Me? Dead? "Wh-who are you? Why you're asking why I'm not dead yet? Who are you!?!"

Me, Stuttering.
