11 Chapter 9

<Kingdom of Vale , Capital City>

The broken moon of Remnant shines beautifully in the night sky. Due to the light pollution emitted by the lively city of Vale, the stars can't be seen clearly but most people know that those gas giants are still there, watching over them.

"It's a great day for a heist! Right, Melanie? Miltia?" a voice said cheerfully.

Sage, the Princess of the Grimm, currently stands on top of another building. Behind her, stood two beautiful women, clearly not interested in answering her question but can't seem to avoid Sage even if they wanted to.

"Hmph!" Melanie ignored Sage.

"Yeah, sure, whatever…" Miltia answered nonchalantly.

Sage turned around and she noticed the twins stiffening at her every action. The twins have been severely traumatized by her. That was a few days ago and Sage simply can't wait for them to get over their trauma.

'I have to do this today! Otherwise, my plans would have been wasted!' Sage thought inwardly.

"Are you guys going to be okay? Both of you are still scared right?" Sage asked nonchalantly.

Melanie looked at Sage with widened eyes as she simply couldn't believe the words coming out of her mouth. Miltia can only sigh tiredly as she averts her eyes away from Sage's gaze. The situation then turned deathly silent.

'Boom! Boom!'

A series of explosions suddenly rangs all throughout the city and Sage knows that the time for her to pick up her 'mommy' has come. Seeing both Melanie and Miltia standing in front of her awkwardly with a dazed expression just strengthened her resolve even more.

'I need to approach Glynda slowly…' Sage thought inwardly.

She's loyal to a fault and even after Ozpin's death, she continued to protect Beacon Academy even in his absence. Turning Glynda to Salem's side is a tough job but Sage was even mored determined to do it after learning more about Glynda.

Not much information is known about Glynda Goodwitch. Even Cinder couldn't find much information about her. All Sage knows about Glynda is her involvement with Ozpin and a few facts that Cinder managed to get about her.

'An orphan but she somehow managed to enroll herself into Beacon Academy. After an unknown amount of time, she joined Ozpin on his journey to defeat Salem.' Sage thought inwardly.

She was a tough cookie and it shows in her attitude even in the series. She was annoyed at Ozpin for taking Ruby in and she was opposed to Jaune even attending Beacon in the first place. She's strict to other people and Sage can bet that Glynda is hard on herself.

'That is why I need her. To ensure that I stay on my goal.' Sage thought inwardly.

Glynda would surely be the type that would scold you relentlessly but she will also care for you more than anybody would. Not to mention, if Sage is going to be scolded for something, she would rather be scolded by a hot middle-aged lady.

After making her decision, Sage walks slowly towards them. Before they can even notice, Sage has already grabbed one of their hands and kissed the back of their hands slowly and with care. Both Melanie and Miltia froze in their place.

"You two will stay here for now. I will go alone. Don't get caught, okay? I will return tomorrow morning…" Sage said slowly.

"What do you mean?!" Melanie asked angrily.

"You…" Miltia tried to speak but Sage cut her off.

"Both of you are useless when you're paralyzed with fear. You can't protect me like this…" Sage said solemnly.

Both Melanie and Miltia stiffened after hearing Sage's words. They can't deny the truth, much less conceal it. They have been having nightmares about Sage and they just can't seem to relax around her even though they have been reassured by Cinder.

"It's not our fault! You are just… A Grimm." Melanie said slowly.

"If I'm not a Grimm, would you dislike me less?" Sage suddenly asked.

"What kind of questions is that? Of course…" Miltia tried to defend her sister but Sage cuts her off again.

"You hate your mother more than me, right? Junior too…" Sage said nonchalantly.

"..." Both Melanie and Miltia are speechless.

It was true to some extent, that Sage is better than their mother. She left them alone in this kingdom without any caretaker. Junior betrayed them as soon as Sage offered him more money and Roman never actually cared about them.

'Is it true? Is Sage the only person we can trust right now?' Melanie thought inwardly.

Even if Sage is a lecherous Grimm, she at least was honest with them. Sage clearly states that she wanted their bodies and as long as they can take care of her desires, their future would be guaranteed.

'It's not that bad if you think about it clearly…' Miltia thought inwardly.

Sage is a disgusting Grimm but she is a full-fledged princess with real monetary power. Even if she doesn't control any territories, it was clear to them that the Grimms are under her control. And if Sage controls the Grimms, she controls the world.

'But still…' both of them thought inwardly.

They both turned to look at Sage and even with the mask, they can see Sage's blue eyes. Her eyes are sincere, which alerts the sisters even more. People who are sincere are more dangerous than liars because they truly believe in themselves.

'Zoom!'

The sound of bullhead then interrupted all of their thoughts. Sage turns around and she sees Ruby fighting Roman not far from their position. It seems that the events of the night have been progressing even faster than she expected.

"Alright, I have to go now! See you later alright!" Sage said slowly towards Melanie and Miltia.

She released their hands and within a few seconds, she was already on the next roof of another building. Sage leaps quickly from roofs to roofs leaving the dumbfounded sisters behind to deal with their own issues.

"Did she just leave us here?" Melanie asks as she turns towards Miltia.

"Yeah, she's rude!" Miltia answered with spite in her voice.

Both of them then turned silent again. The wind howled slowly around them and both of them shuddered when they felt the cool breeze brushing softly on their skins. Both of them looked at each other with an understanding in their eyes.

"Is she the only viable action we have?" Miltia asked Melanie.

"She's the richest and we clearly need the funds." Melanie said slowly.

"But is selling our bodies the only way we can earn money?" Miltia said slowly.

"It is a short-term solution. In the long run, we still need to have another plan." Melanie said slowly.

"We will have to run, again?" Miltia asks slowly.

"..." Melanie was silenced by Miltia's words.

After their mother left them, they were wandering the streets for a while before they finally managed to contact Junior. It was one of the worst periods in their life and they can't ever let things go back to that situation.

"What if she really wanted us to become her wives? That can work as a long-term plan, right?" Miltia said shyly after thinking for a while.

"Are you serious, Miltia?" Melanie asked with a questioning look.

Miltia tilted her head to her side. She can't look at her sister's questioning gaze. Over the past few days, between the nightmares and the soft treatment from Sage, her mind has been confused for a long time.

"I'm tired, Melanie. I don't want to live as a criminal forever! I want to go shopping! Get my nails done and live in a luxury mansion! If she can provide us with that, I don't actually see any reason for us to reject her offer!" Miltia said with force behind her voice.

"She's a Grimm, Miltia. A man-eating monster!" Melanie said angrily.

"She's better than some humans! Our mother left us for dead, Sister!" Miltia screamed a little.

"You don't know that!" Melanie screamed at Miltia in return.

Their mother never said anything to them when the 'academy' fell. Spider just left them in Vale without ever telling them about a rendezvous point or anything. No letter, no messenger and not even a piece of paper stuffed into a glass bottle.

'They left us here…' Melanie thought inwardly.

Both of them look at each other with anger in their eyes. They rarely fought but when it actually happened, both of them were very relentless. Miltia becomes even more sharper than usual and Melanie's usual tone turns harsher than before.

"I'm sorry…" Melanie apologized slowly to her sister, causing Miltia to loosen her tension.

"It's okay. I'm sorry too…" Milia answered.

"Let's think about it first, okay? This is our future and we can't just decide it on a whim…" Melanie said slowly, trying to reason with Miltia.

"Alright…" Miltia said slowly.

<At the same time…>

Glynda is now fighting the wanted thief, Roman Torchwick, alongside a little girl with a mechashift. It was not how she expected the end of her day to be. She was just about to finish her paperwork when she suddenly received a call from the Vale Police Department.

They informed her about a series of explosions and they said that a student of theirs is one of the culprits. Glynda was outraged, to say the least. Never did she expect that her students would be the one wreaking havoc inside the capital city.

'Great! Just great!' Glynda thought inwardly.

She then called Ozpin and told him about the situation. After confirming their action, she rushed here only to find some wreckage and unconscious goons of the long defunct Xiong family. Hearing some explosions she rushed to the roof of the building.

She then saw a little girl fighting with Roman and she couldn't help but curse her fate. More witnesses means more paperwork and she didn't have time to handle that particular issue. Between her secret job and her daytime job, she had her hands full.

'Not to mention, this girl seems familiar…' Glynda thought inwardly.

Glynda, of course, can't remember all of the students that are studying at Beacon but that doesn't mean she can't recognize her students. The girl was not her student but she recognized her fighting style.

'Zoom!'

Roman hopped into the bullhead and said his goodbye. He threw a piece of fire dust crystals at the little girl and then he shot it. Seeing the absolute danger that the girl is in, Glynda rushed forward to protect her.

'Swish!'

She created a barrier with her semblance and she successfully protected the girl. She then noticed Roman's shocked expression and she couldn't help but smirk a little. He's clearly weaker than her if he needed some help from dust crystals.

'I need to at least take the Bullhead down.' Glynda thought inwardly.

"Mommy Glynda!" a voice suddenly calls out to her.

She was readying for her final attack when she heard a squeaky voice. She turns around and she sees a black masked figure hurtling towards her with an incredible speed. She didn't have enough time to react and the figure collided with her.

'Phuk!'

Glynda was not the sturdiest of people due to her semblance but she was not so weak either. The figure that managed to tackle her down even with her aura intact is undoubtedly strong. She didn't miss the figure's words either.

"I missed you so much!" the figure that is now lying on her stomach said slowly.

'What in the…' Glynda thought with confusion.

"What did you just call me?" Glynda had to ask the figure again.

"Mommy Glynda?" the figure said nonchalantly.

"She's your mom?!" a voice suddenly said, shocking both the figure and Glynda.

Both of them turned towards the young girl who was looking at them with a shocked expression. Her hair's a little disheveled but it is not an ugly look on her. In fact, it makes the girl look even cuter than usual.

"Oh hey, Ruby!" the figure said nonchalantly.

'Zoom!'

All of them then turned to look towards the bullhead and all they saw was the bullhead leaving them behind in the dust. Glynda's face turned pale then red. She looked at the figure and the girl with extreme anger in her face.

"Oh… I'm sorry?" the figure said slowly.
