Panzram jumped in to continue fighting and effortlessly chopped down the Minamoto fighters. Ryu watched Panzram with an overly affectionate gaze of admiration.

Panzram was certainly improving at a rapid pace.

He may not be as good as the Taira brothers, but he is far better than the foot soldiers of the Minamoto clan.

The leader of the Minamoto clan realized that his forces were being pushed back and knew that the other side was too strong for him. The leading Minamoto shouted, "Call forth the mercenaries to cover us! Retreat back!"

Ryu frowned at this. More mercenaries? Then that would mean…

Suddenly, dozens of mercenaries jumped out wearing all black and rushed to the front lines. The foot soldiers turned back and ran after their leaders while still trying to fight off the incoming Taira army.
