Lion's Head

The old wooden door slammed open as a brown-haired boy walked in. Many eyes locked onto him like a pack of disturbed hyenas during a feast. His emerald eye's sparked as he took in a deep breath and raised his head. "Where is the boss of this place, I need a word." The boy said as he tried to cover up the nerves in his voice.

"What are you doing Alex you stupid idiot? You could get killed!" Yelled Prince behind in the doorway. He felt a sickening feeling seeing all the dangerous looking people. Before he could say anything else the girl pushed him in from behind and shut the door. He held back his trembling and avoided eye contact with the people. The girl put her hand on his shoulder causing him to jump.

"What are you doing it's only me here" she said in a slightly aggressive manner. She walked up to Alex with one hand on her hip. Her manner changed and seemed more aggressive than it was compared to when they first met. "If you want to get him, you're gonna need to get his attention." She whipped out her phone and sent a quick text to 'greeniebeanie' again. Her phone pinged and she exhaled with slight frustration. "Sadly, the main eventer that you need to beat can't be done now as the person isn't available."

"What do you mean event and person not available? I just need to talk to him." Alex said agitated.

"It looks like I'm gonna be the one beating the crap outta you. You see, the boss doesn't like showing his face to people, so you need to get his attention. One way is beating someone he considers a dangerous person. Since first place is unavailable, you'll be fighting me." The girl said cracking her knuckles. "Oh, and by the way, the name is Kelsey."

Alex stood there dumbfounded. "Fight you? I don't wanna fight no one, I have enough enemies." He looked over at Prince and back at Kelsey. "Also, I haven't fought a girl before."

Kelsey grinned at Alex. "Well if you're backing out, I guess I have more balls than you, also you aren't gonna be seeing the boss." She pushed Prince into a seat and walked up to Alex. "The first person to slam the other flat on their back wins. That's how it works here in the Lion's Head. The boss won't show himself to someone weak."

Alex hesitated and stepped back. It was as if the person before him who he thought to be an innocent rabbit had just released a demonic entity asserting dominance within a large area. Kelsey drew closer but Alex slowly backed up unable to piece words together. He felt a bump as he backed up, the presence as big as a grizzly bear stood over him from behind. The presence felt stone cold and paralysing. Kelsey looked up above Alex's head and grinned.

"Kelsey" said the booming yet jolly sounding voice. "Stop scaring our guests, we'll lose business. Turn around young lad." The towering beast held Alex's shoulder, as a form of restraint as well as reassurance. As Alex turned, he was greeted by a large beast of a man standing over seven foot tall. The man was muscular, looked as if he could easily take down a bear. Alex tried to pull a smile but attempted to step back. The grizzly bear held its grip on Alex but not to cause any harm. He looked Alex in the eyes and slowly released him. "So familiar..." He muttered to himself.

"Who're you?" Raised Alex. "What did you just say? Do you know my father?"

The giant cut Alex off before he could ask any further. "Have we forgotten formalities. My name is Dean. Who may you and your friend be?"

"I don't have time right now; do you know my father?" The increasing agitation grew in Alex's voice as he became more impatient.

"Hey dude chill out!" raised Prince from the other side of the room. "We need to go by their terms, we walked in on their grounds, don't lose your cool. Honestly, what would've happened if I didn't tag along." Prince stood up, pulled Alex back and hesitantly smiled at dean.

"You look so alike him, you also have the eyes of your sister, yet they're so different." Dean said. "I'm willing to help you out here and tell you about your father, but you know the rules here. As said by your new friend Kelsey."

"So, we doing this or not?" asked Kelsey.

"Looks like I don't have a choice here do I" responded Alex calmly.

Prince patted Alex on the before going to sit back down. "Be careful" he said as he walked back.

Tension raised in the air as Kelsey and Alex stared each other down.

I have returned from my hiatus. I deeply apologise for my disappearance. I greatly appreciate those who were concerned. I am back and I’m feeling much better. I am now working on the next chapters hopefully next one before this week is over.
