1 Story of the greatest Hero and Simp

{ Author = Sorry if there are plot holes and grammatical error but I did my best to express what I felt in the story. I don't really know what happened the the story just came up on my mind and i... Yeah.... so yeah... Please enjoy. }

Ron, an outcast from society. Abandoned by his family, abandoned by his friends, ostracized by the society because of something he didn't do. Ron was planning to end his life but checked the Utube one last time to have 1 good last laugh before saying goodbye to the world which had abandoned him.

There, he accidentaly typed something in the search bar in random and saw a live streamer with only 10 viewers. The live streamer was very new and it was the streamer's debut. It was a pity that the streamer have a very low view count.

This streamer was a virtual streamer, basically like an anime character but, they live stream. They don't talk in script and they are very random depending on the person behind the anime character.

Since Ron had nothing to do, he decided to check out this streamer.

" Akai Holo... Huh... "

The virtual streamer had a girl anime character with red hair and blazing clothes design. Just like her name. [ Akai Hono = Red Flame ]

After watching for a while, Ron found out that he was having fun watching this virtual streamer.

" She is interesting... I should delay my plan to take my life... "

Days have passed since Akai Holo had her debut and there was finally a superchat function.

Ron have completely forgotten about his plan on taking his own life as he began to look towards the future to see more of Akai Holo's video.

" Everyone!!! Finally!!! We have superchats!!! " Akai Holo happily said.

Her average viewer had increased from the 10 viewers in her debut to the 100 average viewers now.

Meanwhile, Ron, who had been waiting for this day. Picked up his credit card and quickly sent a superchat. He put in the highest possible number to superchat.

[ Ron $500.00 - Congratulations Holo!!! " ]

Ron was very satisfied that he was the one who took Akai Holo's superchat virginity. He nodded satisfyingly to himself.

Ron had a lot of money as he can be considered rich before he became an outcast. He was able to save most of his money and it was enough to live his whole life without worrying about money if he spent it wisely.

' Might as well give my excess money to support her since it is useless to me. '

Akai Holo and the viewers was very shocked to see that after a few seconds in the stream... There, the highest superchat possible... Came out...

[ Woahhhh!!!!! Dude!!!! $500?]

[ $500? Simp! But a simp I am very proud of!]

[ What the????]

[ $500 for the first superchat?]

The chat was in chaos after seeing the big Superchat.

Akai Holo started to sob silently and Ron knew that she was in tears because her voice was breaking down from her sobbing.

" No way... Am I dreaming... Sob. Sob. Thank you very much for the superchat... Thank you so much... " Akai Holo started crying and was trying to stop her tears.

Soon, other superchats came out but not as big as the first one though.

[ Mob1 $10 - ]

[Mob2 $5 - Finally... I can simp!]

[Mob3...

[ Ah! Who made our Holo cry!!! ]

[ Holo! Please don't cry!]

Ron was surprised by Akai Holo's reaction. This was his first time sending a superchat so he didn't really know that this would happen.

' Should I send another one? Maybe she might stop crying. '

[ Ron $500 - Don't cry Holo! This is not a dream!]

Even though Ron tried to stop Holo from crying. His superchat only made Holo cry harder.

" Thank you... Ron for the superchat... Thank you... Sob... for watching and supporting me since the day I debut... " Akai Holo said while crying.

Akai Holo had remembered Ron from her debut which only had 10 viewers at that time.

Ron was very touched by this.

Days, months and years went by. Ron had watched Akai Holo from having the average viewer of 10 or maybe even lower to the thousands of average viewer today.

Ron, since the opening of the superchat, have kept sending more and more. To the point that all loyal viewers of Akai Holo had accepted him as her number 1 fan.

Ron was very proud of Akai Holo's growth. It was like seeing your own child having a successful life.

Ron was also very proud of himself that he contributed to the success of Akai Holo. He didn't want something in exchange. He just wanted to see Akai Holo happy.

Right now, Akai Holo is celebrating a milestone. She was thanking everyone who have supported her.

" Everyone!!! Thank you very much for supporting me! Without you then I wouldn't be able to have this much fun! Thank you everyone! Especially Ron who have supported me since my debut! "

Normally, fans would dislike a streamer if she favored someone but not Akai Holo and Ron. Everyone in Akai Holo's community accepted the fact that Ron is very special in Akai Holo. Many have even called him Daddy and Simp as he always have the same but meaningful response when Akai Holo thanked him.

[ Ron $500 - I'm sorry Holo but this might be my last $500 superchat. I'm glad I was able to help you. As long as you are happy then I am very happy too. ]

Ron sent a superchat, who knows how much had he spent on superchats but Ron didn't care as he had no need for money to spend for himself.

Ron had finally ran out of excess money. Ron was sad that he was not gonna be able to send $500 superchats anymore.

[ He said the thing! ]

[ No way? Our Daddy is now running out of money? Is this a dream? ]

[ Nooooooooo!!!! Will our big Simp finally stop here? ]

[ Someone send our Daddy some money to simp for Holo! ]

Ron was known for saying that if Holo was happy then he was happy. That was why he was called a simp but a simp worthy of respect.

Ron laughed at the chats popping up in rapid speed.

" Ron! Thank you very much! This might be m... Oh no! Ron! Please you don't have to send me superchats! Please take care of yourself first! " Akai Holo was worried for Ron.

Ron was happy that Holo was worried for him.

Ron was happily watching Akai Holo but suddenly, he heard her say while streaming.

" Everyone, please be careful of the pandemic that is spreading fast. Please take care of yourself first and be careful. "

Ron was not really updated on the news and he haven't came out of his house a few days after Akai Holo's debut.

He spent a few days stocking up some food so that he can stay in his house as long as possible. He didn't need to pay for electricity and clean water bills as he was able to produce them.

[ Ron $50 - Hope you will be safe and don't catch the disease Holo ]

Akai Holo noticed his superchat and responded.

" You too Ron, I hope that you will be safe too. "

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

" Everyone! Please go to the nearest shelter as soon as you can! " Akai Holo was saying worriedly to her viewers.

This stream is probably the last stream she'll ever had.

Months and a year had passed since the pandemic came. There was still no cure that was created.

There was a reason why there was still no cure yet.

The virus carrying the disease was mutating very frequently, rendering the newly created cure that can kill it useless.

It was able to adapt and defend itself against the cure and now it had mutated to the point that it became unstoppable.

Due to its mutation, it was able to spread faster than before and so the humanity had only 1 choice and that is to isolate themselves from the virus.

Shelters were created for this sole purpose only.

A shelter was able to isolate a human from the outside world that is filled with the virus. Ron's house could be considered a shelter as he had already isolated it from the outside world.

Ron was also worried about Akai Holo. He was thinking about something deeply. He looked backed to his past and smiled from remembering the time he was thinking about taking his life to the present.

He sent his one final Superchat towards the Streamer who gave him a motivation to live.

[ Ron $500 - This is all the money I have left. Holo, please be safe. I'll stay at the outside world and will try to find a cure. I'll make sure to record what is happening to the outside world while you are in the shelter. Please be safe. ]

Even though money didn't really have a value anymore in this situation. Everyone was shocked not by the money but the message.

" Ron? What do you mean by staying outside? Please go to a shelter!!! " Akai Holo was shocked and worried by Ron's message.

The chat was exploding with the same message as Holo.

Ron didn't respond back to their messages and just smiled.

' If I'm going to die then I might as well die while being a help to my beloved Holo. '

Holo was like a daughter for Ron, he had watched her channel grow from the beginning.

Ron was wandering outside of his home. He was kilometers away from his home just to observe the sorrounding. Ron hadn't seen a single other human for months now. Most of them had died and the living ones are probably in a shelter somewhere.

Ron's body was covered in clothes, he can't risk getting infected until he finds the cure.

Suddenly, Ron saw a cat that looked pretty sick.

' Looks like that cat is infected. '

Then Ron saw the cat doing something weird. It was chewing on a plant.

' What the hell? Is this cat crazy or something? Aren't cats supposed to be carnivore? '

Since it looked interesting, Ron took out his camera and paint. He painted the cat so that he would know that it was that specific cat.

Ron decided that he would observe this cat until the day it will die from the virus.

He started recording the cat for the next day's and he discovered that once in a while the cat would chew on the same plant.

A few days later, Ron noticed something weird. The cat was getting more and more healthy every day. Of course, Ron had fed the cat since it was too weak to catch its own food.

Ron noticed that the symptons of the virus was slowly but surely disappearing.

' No way? Could it be? '

With this discovery, Ron was able to get closer to the cure.

He brought a sample of the plant back home and uploaded the videos he took to his Utube channel.

It was a good thing that the Internet was still working or else he wouldn't be able to rewatch Holo's streams and upload the videos he took.

Ron had a lot of viewer since he was the only independent researcher of the cure and he uploaded his progress everytime.

After uploading the video, Ron closed his computer and started to think what to do next.

Ron's videos that day shocked everyone and brought hope to the heart of everyone.

' I hope this will help Holo be safe. '

Ron didn't want to be the hero of the humanity but he just wanted for Holo to be happy.

Ron had been bringing animals whether it was cats, dogs, or rats. Anything he could find that could be infected by the virus.

He had been testing the effect of the plant by purposely infecting the animals and making them chew the plant.

One day, while experimenting on a dog who was infected. Ron was bitten by it in the leg.

Ron knew that he had messed up. He slapped the dog away and quickly stopped the bleeding. He held his wounds and tied some bandages around it.

' Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!!! Nooo!!! Not yet!!! It might not be the cure! I have to prove that it is the cure! '

The virus can also be passed orally and so Ron knew that he was already infected by the virus.

The virus was very deadly, in average it only takes 3-4 days for it to kill a full grown male after being infected.

' Shit! Since it can't be helped then let's do this experiment to myself! '

Since Ron wasn't able to help it, he decided to do the experiment with him as the test subject.

He readied his camera and started live streaming. This was his first time live streaming and so he was nervous but because of the situation.

Everyone who watches Ron's video was puzzled about this sudden live stream and so they quickly checked it out.

Ron saw that the viewers was spiking up, he was getting nervous but he swallowed his nervousness because of the situation.

" Hey everyone, this is Ron here. Before anything, can you please record this stream? Just for safety... Now then, I started this live streaming because... Haha... I got bitten by accident when I was doing my tests... So I decided that since I am surely infected by the virus and I don't know if I suddenly die. I'll just do a live stream for my experiment. "

The chat exploded, Ron was one of the last hope of humanity from finding the cure and now that he was infected then the humanity might lose one of their hope.

" Now, this will be the first time for a human to do it... Eating the plant that can supposedly cure the virus... I will be streaming until I am cured or I am dead so please wish me luck. "

The chat exploded once again. Akai Holo popped up in the chat but her message was drowned by the others and so Ron wasn't able to see it.

A few hours later, Ron started experiencing the symptoms of the virus and showed it to the viewers.

Ron then started eating the plant. He had long since made a full review of video about the plant and so he was not worried for the professionals of medicine not finding the same exact plant.

Half a day have passed and Ron felt that his body is very weak. He had lost his sense of taste but he still kept eating some food to sustain his life and of course the plant.

The stream have been continuing for a day now and Ron only had his underwear on. He decided in the middle of the stream to show his full body to everyone so that the professionals can observe him and the symptoms.

A day had passed and Ron can hardly move his body. Before the stream, he had already liquified his food for easier intake in case he would be too weak to chew the food.

Ron noticed that compared to the cases of the virus he saw in the past. His was developing very slowly, the symptoms showing in his body was supposedly gonna show 5 hours after getting infected but in his case it took a day to develop.

The professionals who were watching the stream noticed this too.

2 days have passed and the symptoms of the virus slowly started disappearing. Ron felt his body getting stronger and stronger. He was at least able to chew his food.

Until finally, half a day later, all the symptoms of the virus disappeared.

Everyone saw this live and thought that it was a miracle!

Ron was getting cured!

But still, Ron still felt nausea and headache.

' It might still be the lingering effect of the virus. ' Ron thought.

" Everyone look! The visible symptoms have disappeared! Although I still feel got some headache but I am getting cured! "

Ron excitedly announced to everyone.

On the 4th day of the live stream. Ron still had some headache and still fell nauseous. He felt that something was wrong. He was vomiting too.

" Everyone, I think something is wrong... I think that I am forgetting something. I'm sure that I am cured of the virus now but something else is attacking my body. "

Ron was sure that he was already cured since the symptoms of the virus was very visible.

[ Yes, you are cured but something is wrong. You shouldn't feel this sick when you are cured. ] Someone in the chat said.

[ Ron, what were you bitten by? ] Someone in the chat asked.

" What was I bitten by? I was bitten by a dog... Ohhh... So that's what is wrong... Haha... I won't die from the virus but something else... Hahaha... " Ron finally remembered what he had forgotten.

It was rabies.

Ron was infected with a rabies and it was already too late and there was no hospital to take the anti rabies nearby.

[ Noooo!!! Crap!!! We were blinded by the virus and forgot about everything else! ]

[ F*ck! Can we still save Ron? ]

[ He had been infected by rabies for 4 days already! It's already too late! ]

[ Noooo!!! Ron!!! ]

The professionals watching the video quickly realized that he was infected with rabies after he said he got bitten by a dog.

And they also quickly realized that they are not able to save Ron anymore. The only thing they can do was give up and watch Ron at his last moments.

" Haha... Everyone... Cheer up... At least we were able to find a cure for the virus. Let's just hope that it will not be immune to this new cure though... "

Ron tried to cheer up everyone but deep inside he felt bitter too. He had finally found a cure but he was not able to live long enough to see the day it was gonna be used.

" Ahh... I want to see Akai Holo... Holo... If you're watching this, I hope you are safe and healthy... And look... I found a cure... Just like what I said in my last superchat. Haha... I want to watch you one more time... "

Ron tried to hold down his tears but soon they fell down.

" I don't want to die... I still want to see you smile... Holo... Thank you for giving me a motivation to live... If it weren't for you then I would've already killed myself a long time ago... Thank you very much... "

Ron said weakly while crying.

Suddenly, his notification for Utube popped out and he saw that Akai Holo was live streaming too. The title of the stream was Ron so Ron knew that this stream was for him.

This was the last live stream that Ron watched...

A woman was crying in front of a tombstone. The tombstone was very big and there was no other grave near it. It was the only grave and it was the grave of the Greatest Hero of humanity.

It was the grave of Ron.

Ron's cure was able to eradicate the virus. He found the one and only cure and finally, everyone was able to fight back against the virus.

Because of his contribution towards the humanity, the government quickly recovered Ron's dead body and made a grand burial for him. Almost every living human watched Ron getting buried.

The woman was the only person in front of the grave. People were not allowed in this place naturally but the woman was able to enter because she had a special identity.

" Ron... I hope that you are happy. Didn't you always say that if I am happy then you are happy too? I am very happy right now... " The woman smiled while touching the tombstone.

" Thank you Ron, for making me the happiest person in the world. That would also make you the happiest person in the world. Right? "

After a while, the woman finally stood up and left. Leaving the lonely grave of Ron.

[ Author = You know... This story would've been more tragic if I added more to the story... It was very tragic in my mind when it created this story that I wasn't able to stop crying. This one shot wasn't able to tell you why Ron became an outcast. What happened? What were the superchats that he sent that was not said in the story contained? Was he able to get out of his identity as an outcast? The point is... YOU as a reader can add more to the story. You can add a story to those time skip and I was suppose to do that but I feel like I will be too lazy halfway and stop making the story so sorry for that. ]
