Training is the only option

Days went by after the incident, yet the people in the palace remained uneasy about the report they received from the crown prince. Fortunately, the emperor quickly dismisses the topic, disabling anyone to have the ability to point arbitrary suspicions towards the Crown Prince.

Was the Emperor generous?

No, he simply thought that a simple incident shouldn't tarnish the reputation of his son, the Crown Prince. But dismissing the topic didn't mean the emperor's ignorance, he was simply confident with the prince's decision.

As the emperor remained uneasy.

Helena, on the other hand, seemed carefree about the situation.

She spent those few days staying at her own residence, laying low for a while since she became the talk of the town. She also visited the training of William with the Enilde knights, watching how much he has improved for the past years.

She leaned on a nearby tree.

'It still amazes me that a summoner like him with so much potential still chose the path of knighthood for a second time in his life' She smiles, watching him discipline the men under his squad.

Even though she did ask William some time ago on what path he wishes to pursue, he said strongly. {"I've already pledged my life to you, there is no greater path than to protect you as a knight"}

As she thought about it, she understood what those words meant.

Although he has great summoner potential, it is also a risky path to continue since his mana is sourced from cursed magic.

'He's just like me in some way.' She thought. 'We both have unstable mana that is considered as a double-edged ability. The only thing that we differ is that he chose not to walk the path of a mage.'

She raises her palm, facing her.

She draws some mana on it, a particle of golden dust circulates without control, growing unexpectedly bigger due to the continuous leak of mana on her body.

She quickly closes her palm, blocking the exit of mana.

'If it wasn't for this unstable body of mine, then i wouldn't choose to be a mage in this life given to me once again.' She sadly thought.

She looks ahead of her, examining his mana.

'I'm very envious of his mana, even though its cursed mana, as long as he doesn't use it, then he doesn't bring harm to himself.'

She shook her head, as she felt guilty for feeling envious about someone's cursed mana. Because she had an incompatible body to her innate ability to gather huge amounts of mana, she had always feared that her body would one day, explode.

She flinches, at the thought.

She turns away and walks away from the site, she heads towards the forest just outside the gates of the Enilde residence.

The guards halt her. "Lady Helena, where are you going at this time of the day?"

"I need to go somewhere, tell father that i will train in the forest shortly."

"Milady, the forest is filled with level 1 ranked beasts. I don't think-"

She places her palm at the guard's shoulder, sending a small pulse of mana.

His eyes widen. "..!"

Feeling the mana circulating around his body, he steps back. "L-Lady helena. That was so much mana."

'The daughter of an archmage!' he strongly thought towards Helena.

"Oh, really?" Helena says confused since she clearly sent only a pinch of mana. "Well, then can i train now?"

She smiles.

The guard guarding the gate quickly opens the gate for her, wishing for her safety. Before Helena leaves out of sight, he hurriedly reports to the duke.

"Now then.." She looks behind, seeing that the residence is no longer in sight. She summons her red robe and wore it carefully.

She then uses spatial magic to teleport to her usual spot for training.

The Mist Valley

When she arrived, she was welcomed by level 6 ranked beasts infront of her. Hissing at her presence, the bloodlust enveloped around her, she smirked when she realized that she came to a nest of humongous pythons.

For Helena, training in this place was the best option for exhausting her mana, and the reason why she doesn't use this method whenever her mana breakdowns is because using offensive magic while the breakdown period is very harmful to her body.

So she rather uses spatial magic whenever her mana relapses.

"It's been a while" Helena releases her suppression to her own mana, releasing it aggressively against the beasts in front of her. "Ah it feels good to release so much mana."

As the beasts felt her mana, all of them started to uncontrollably attack her.

She smiles, feeling her body lighter and faster.

After exhausting her mana after killing all the level 6 python beasts, she slices their insides and quickly takes out numerous beast stones that could be sold at a high price in the black market.

She stops slicing when she realized something, "Ah, the snake python hasn't existed in the books of beasts in this age. I forgot."

She looks back, and front.

"I knew it, there are no signs of hunter marking, so the hunters haven't reached this deep yet?" She says, a bit sympathetic

It was not that Helena was bragging, but hunter markings usually represent the farthest location of any knights/mage that entered the Mist valley. She just felt pressured by the thought of her coming back to sell the stones, that were never seen before. 'Guess i'll just go to another town to sell these'

She thoughts of a location.

Gregohar, fortunately it was one of her marked locations.

Gregohar town is the most discreet town farthest to the empire, although it is still part of the empire, people living in this town are usually hunters that's why it's filled with illegal dealings, mostly selling hunted items.

In short, The black market.

She arrives at a dark alley, raising her hood once again to avoid revealing her appearance. As she steps into the town she was surprised to see the streets-

filled with nothing.

'What the, am i really in Gregohar?' She says irked. She looks around and saw a familiar stand that she knew in the life she lived before. 'it's exactly the same.'

She stares at the stand, the dangling pieces of jewelry hangs by a board yet there was no merchant by the stand, even all the other stands were left without supervision.

She was suddenly alerted when she felt an orb presence near her.

'What's this? it's an activated orb.' She thought.

She closes her eyes, directing her mana to her senses, it heightens steadily. '2- no 4.. wait ..!"

She senses an alarming number of orbs in her detection range, she could not tell what kind of orb was it, but with how they used it.

It was some kind of Visual orb, an orb that shouldn't exist at that time.

It was suspicious enough since she was the first person who contributed to the creation of Visual orb in her past life.

At that time, she thought that someone might've invented something similar to her creation.

Her eyes widened open, turning her head towards various directions of the orbs. 'This is insane. Every street is imbedded with an orb, what's more suspicious is this kind of orb.'

She heads towards the location of one of the orbs and tries to make it surface but to her dismay, her mana was repelled quickly as it came to contact with the orb.
