The Great Witch of Magic Academy

An age of Fairies, Humans, Gods, Giants, Elves, Witches and Dragons. Created from the World Creators that exists beyond the confines of Yggdrasil and the 9 realms, these omnipotent creators love their creations, but little do they know, terror awaits them and all of Yggdrasil. An outside force that lurks in the shadows of the World Tree, unbalances all of creation. This entity drastically accelerated mortal evolution through his magic, and in the process, unlocked mortals' hidden potential, and granted them mana forces, conceptual weapons, champions, and other weapons that completely broke the cycle of balance between god and men. Humans can now slay gods, which in return, destroys the concepts of the world, unbalancing order, authority, and laws. This is the chaotic world they all live in now, and it cannot be changed, unless someone powerful enough defeats Orcus for good. Main character, Grimhild Yorgana and her friends, are said to be these group of people destined to destroy Orcus, as they call themselves the 11 Kabbalah. They do not know if they have the power to truly destroy him together, but with Grimhild’s wits, knowledge, and experience, it’s best to rely on her. This tells a story of friends, war, love, chaos, development, and betrayal.

Secrets Exposed

Sitting inside a large room, similar to that of a Lecture hall was Kyto, who has been taking notes on the history of the world, Midgard. Most of the history he was learning had been foreign to him, he's never heard of the Mystic Age, but only the Age of Legend, so it was only natural he would ask.

Kyto lifted his arm into the air, waiting for the teacher to call on him.

"Ah, yes, what is it Kyto? Do you have a question regarding our studies?" (???)

The teacher's name was Mr. Felix, the educator of the Black Mage Division. It was the teacher's job to educate their students on the history of Midgard and the other realms, so they could have a general understanding of their world, and how magic originated.

Honestly, it was like any other school, but for mages specifically.

"Yes… I do have a question, it's about the Mystic Age, what is that exactly?" (Kyto)

Kyto's question seemed to have caught the attention of the other students, as they glanced at him with bewildered expressions.

"Does he really not know about the Mystic Age? Isn't that common knowledge?" (Black Mage)

"He must've never had school when he was growing up, that's my only explanation as to why." (Rude Black Mage)

"My my, I'm surprised you never heard of the Mystic Age, well, it wouldn't hurt to explain it to you." (Felix)

Mr. Felix sat down his chalk and turned around, facing the class, clearing his throat.

"The Mystic Age is during the first 100 million years after our world was created; this is the age where demons roamed the earth, and where every other race was neutral with one another. Everyone liked us humans, and we liked everyone else, but for the gods, it was a different story. The gods used their authority over us to make us do horrible things; they also created diseases, tampered with humanity, and brought other races into extinction just for the fun of it. We all had enough, we wanted it to end, but we didn't have the power to rebel against them… until heroes came along." (Felix)

"Heroes? You mean people like King Arthur?" (Kyto)

"Yes, but King Arthur wasn't the first hero that existed. There were other heroes as well, without a name. These groups of people wielded powerful armaments known as Conceptual weapons, and some wielded powerful objects known as Champions. These creations are still a mystery to this day, as we have no idea where they came from, or how they appeared into existence. But we didn't care for questions, we only cared to stop the gods from their wicked ways, thus, humanity and the other races rebelled against them with these powerful weapons." (Felix)

"So… did they win? The mortal races that is." (Kyto)

"…I'm afraid not. You see, there are far too many gods for us to handle, and there was only a limited amount of Champions and Conceptual weapons. We stood no chance, the gods won in the end and punished us for our rebellion. The only people unaffected by their punishment were the heroes. We suffered for 100 million years, enduring the god's wrath… but then, witches came along. These entities stopped the gods and their rebellion, but they were also cruel as well. They put the gods in their place, and made sure balance ensued across the 9 realms." (Felix)

"…Wait, are you telling me the witches were basically created to stop the gods from unbalancing the 9 realms?" (Kyto)

"Yes, indeed! As the legend goes, Maleficent created them for that exact purpose. The witches stopped gods and brought balance back to the 9 realms, however, the demon race was jealous of the witches. They all grew envious of their cruelty and sadism. You see, demons were an evil race of creatures, only wanting to cause chaos and destruction, so if they saw any other race doing the same, and becoming "worse" than them, they wouldn't hesitate to wipe that race out of existence. And that's exactly what they tried against the witches. But they failed. The demon race realized the witches were too powerful, so the witches wiped them out of existence, name, and all. And now, no other demon exists in Yggdrasil except the demon king himself." (Felix)

Kyto tapped his chin with his pen a few times.

"I-I see. So the demons were brought to extinction by the witches because they were jealous. Well, after all of that happened, what went down next?" (Kyto)

"After that happened, peace finally ensued. Once the mystic age ended, we move on to the Amicable Age, where everyone was at peace. This age lasted for 900 million years, and by far it was the most beloved age throughout history, for obvious reasons. I can't say much about this age, but it was delightful… however, after the Amicable age ended, we move into the Age of Legend." (Felix)

"Ah, I'm sure everyone is familiar with the history of this age." (Kyto)

"Yes, we all are, it's one of the most important ages throughout history. After the Amicable Age ended, the gods and their wrath returned, but it just wasn't the gods, but rather the Supreme Gods. Odin, Thor, and the rest. They were supreme gods that far surpassed the power of witches, thus, nobody could stop them. They manipulated mankind, and brought plagues and destruction back, all to benefit them. They wanted to be worshiped and praised. They were egotistical lunatics, however, one man was tired of it all. We all know this man's name!" (Felix)

"King Arthur!" (Black Mage)

"Correct, King Arthur. The King was tired of the Supreme Gods and what they were doing, but that wasn't the reason why he challenged Thor. Instead, he told the Supreme Gods that a powerful witch was going to be the one to wipe them to extinction, thus, he wanted to make sure that would never happen. He decided to take matters into his own hand, so King Arthur challenged Thor to an Ouroboros duel. If Thor won, he would get to kill all of humanity, but if Arthur won, then the gods and even the Supreme Gods would have to stop tampering with the 9 realms. That was their deal, but in the end, they both stalemated, and it became a tie… however, when an Ouroboros duel doesn't meet the requirements of completion, it is said that Jörmungandr will devour the world, and everything in it." (Felix)

"I never heard of this part. Then tell me, what happened? Why didn't Jörmungandr devour the world?" (Kyto)

"There are hundreds of theories as to why, but the most accepted theory is the witch." (Felix)

"Wait, the witch that King Arthur feared would destroy the Gods?" (Kyto)

"Yes, her. It is said she used a powerful magic known as Duality Magic, to destroy the Ouroboros contract and prevent Jörmungandr from devouring everything." (Felix)

Kyto placed his hand underneath his chin, staring at his paper in thought.

"How many people can use Duality Magic?" (Kyto)

"That's uncertain, but it's speculated that the fairies can pull it off, or other heroes. Though, that's only a theory." (Felix)

"…Then does that mean Grimhild is a hero?" (Kyto)

Kyto whispered under his voice, catching the attention of others around him.

"You say something?" (Black Mage)

"O-Oh… no, it's nothing. Don't worry about it!" (Kyto)

Kyto took a deep breath, resting his elbow on the table, and his chin on his palm.

"One more question, Mr. Felix." (Kyto)

"Yes?" (Felix)

"The Age of Legend, it lasted for 100 million years, right?" (Kyto)

"Yes, it did. After the Age of Legend, we move onto the present age, which we call the Solidarity Age." (Felix)

"…I see, alright, I think I got it now. Thanks for that, I learned a lot today." (Kyto)

"Of course, it is my job to teach you after all. Now, moving on-" (Felix)

Felix's voice faded out of existence for Kyto, as the Cyrodel stared forward, questioning Grimhild. That's right, everything up to now started to make sense, for what Grimhild truly was.

Kyto came to the conclusion that she was the witch of legend that Mr. Felix talked about, or that she was a hero in disguise. Which was it? Who was Grimhild Yorgana? Where did she come from?

She's not human, that's impossible. She can live for hundreds of millions of years. Was she some Cyrodel? No… that wouldn't make sense either.

Kyto tried to come up with some conclusion, but they all lead back to Grimhild being a Witch or a Hero.

He was frustrated, but he tried to hide it. Maybe Elizabeth was right? Long ago, on the carriage ride, Liz said something about Grimhild being a witch, but Kyto disagreed with that statement, saying it was impossible.

"Liz was right… Grimhild is a witch. There's no other explanation to it, she has to be…" (Kyto)

Kyto closed his eyes, balling his hand into a fist.

"She lied to us… this entire time!" (Kyto)
