THE BEGINNING OF A JOURNEY

Chapter 1

In the year 1761, a young doctor call John Brown it's heading into London to visit his family, but what the young doctor doesn't know it's that this night, his whole life it's about to change.

It's 1 am, doctor John it's in a public carriage heading to London thinking on the family that he attended back in Scotland. He has black hair; green eyes and he is wearing a black hat and an overcoat.

"Hopefully the children that I attend back in Scotland be ok". (John Brown talking in his head).

Then a mysterious man talks to John and asks him a question. "So, what's the matter, Doctor!?" The Mysterious Man asks. He had blue eyes, blond hair and he was using a black overcoat.

John stun and surprise that this mysterious man knows that he is a doctor, he suddenly asks the mysterious man who he is.

"I beg your pardon! Who are you and how is it exactly that you know I'm a doctor, sir?" John asks nervously.

The mysterious man laughs at John's reaction. "Haha, who am I doesn't matter young doctor, but if you are willing to know how I knew you are a doctor it's quite simple, that bag that you are carrying it's pretty much what doctors use to load all their stuff." The Mysterious Man said it enjoying himself.

John looks at the bag and then he realizes the stupid question that he ask and was a little embarrassed about it, then he asks to forgive him for overreacting that way.

"I beg your pardon sir, I think I overreacted," John said it with embarrassment in his eyes. The mysterious man laughs again. "Haha, it's ok young doctor, you should never let your guard down to anyone." The mysterious man said it a little sinister.

"Of course!" Replied John. "But you still haven't answered my other question. Who exactly are you, sir?"

The mysterious man sighs. "Well if you are willing to keep insisting, I guess I don't have a choice but to tell you. My name is..."

The public carriage suddenly stops at John's arrival, stopping the mysterious man from revealing his identity.

"I apologies sir, but it's late and I'm late for a family matter, so I guess our conversation will have to wait for later. Bye!" John said it in a hurry.

The mysterious man watches John leaving the public carriage with a serious look on his face, like if he knows something.

"Oh! indeed it will young doctor, indeed it will!" The mysterious man smiles watching John entering the city.

Back with John, he is in the middle of the streets walking towards his parent's house that it is located at the end of the city and he still hasn't forgotten about that mysterious man that he met back on the public carriage and it bothers him a lot not knowing who he was. John then stops by a market and at his left side was a old gift shop. He enters the place and approaches to the gift shop seller. "So, what can I do for you, sire?" Ask the Gift Shop Seller. He was this very fat man and very tall too, he had a very long beard like he hasn't shaved in years and he had blue eyes.

"Hi, Uhm…I want to buy the watch that I order you to make me. You know the one that has a name printed on it." Says John tired.

"Oh, of course! Just give me a moment." The gift shop seller went looking for the watch on his drawers.

"Hopefully I can get back right in time before..." (John, talking in his head but before he could finish, the gift shop seller interrupts his thoughts and give him the watch). The watch was a little rusty, but John like it.

"Here you go sire, that will be fifty-five gold coins."

"Sure." Says John giving him the fifty-five gold coins that he had. on a little bag

"Anything else?" Asked the gift shop seller.

"Thanks and no I'm good." He was finally happy that he could get this present for his sister in time.

John gets out of the gift shop and starts walking to the house of his parents, then John hears a voice calling him from behind, he looks behind and found no one there, just some people in the other side of the street having a good time so late. There where some women fooling around with some drunk men and they were laughing. Then he hears the same voice behind him again and he turns around but still no one there. The torch woods that were on the street began to burn out and one by one start to drop, until just four of them were left exactly where John is. The people that were in the street got concerned and start leaving to their homes or finding a safe place to stay, and some old man passing John where talking about how unsafe is it, being walking around in the streets alone in the middle of the night because of the attacks of some kind of a beast that only appears on the night, then he hears the same voices calling him in a very dark alleyway that is on his right side. John concern speaks nervously and asking if someone is there.

"Hello!? It's anyone in there?" Said John very nervous.

Then he hears the voice calling him again.

"John! Come John, over here, I need your help." Said the Voice in the Alleyway.

"Who are you? Are you ok?" Replied John.

Suddenly he hears a scream.

"Aaaaahh!!!!!" It was from the Voice in the Alleyway.

John rapidly goes to the very dark alleyway without a second thought leaving behind his bag and then when John arrives in there, he barely could see anything, so he asks again.

"Hello!? Are you ok!? Where are you? I'm a doctor I can help you?" John asks again very concern as if this person could be injured or in danger.

Then John sees a dark shadow of a man looking at him at the end of the alleyway; that dark shadow starts approaching him slowly and John, concern ask.

"Hello, are you ok? I am a doctor, I can help you! Are you injure?" Said Doctor John concern.

Finally, this shadow got in front of John and from one second to another suddenly John screams.

"Aaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!" He yells in a lot of pain and everything for him went black.
