4 Chapter 2 –

'First of all, Bloodline is all about your physical source of magic. This world has magic laylines scattered around the world from the beginning for the world. It gradually evolves the body of a few compatible and sensitive people who were the 1st generation of wizards and witches. As time goes on, the older the history of a wizard or witch, the more concentration of magic generates in its body, and it also determines the future ceiling or aptitude a magician can reach, like whether he or she will become a Grandmaster Wizard or reach other later stages unless he or she concentrates more magical bloodline in the body.

These bloodline concentrations are divided into 4 stages – Muggleborn, Half-Blood, Pure-Blood, and Return to The Origin. As you don't have sufficient power and authority now, according to the system's analysis, more detailed information is locked for you. But as you gain more authority and become more powerful, you will gain access to more detailed information. So, I suggest the host marry and breed intensely for now to become more powerful.'

Hearing the system, Adrian's face twitched. It seemed like the system was considering him merely as a lusty breeding tool. However, he decided to keep quiet as any disruption might disrupt the flow.

'Alternatively, you can try to gather knowledge from the outside, but it doesn't look promising for you due to your situation. All pure-blood and authoritative people secretly guard this knowledge, which can only be accessed by the core members of the family. Not everyone is deemed worthy enough. Secondly, Sonority is the combination of Future Ceiling, Soul Power & Magic Power. Although it seems troublesome to measure, it is the most important thing for a wizard. Just remember the highest cap is SS, and the lowest is E, starting as a muggle to finish in Return To Origin or even more.

Generally, the more symmetrical the relationship between one wizard's Future Ceiling, Soul Power & Magic Power, the more power one can exhibit. A wizard who has Magic Power & Soul Power of C Grade along with an average Muggleborn blood will be more outstanding than a wizard with different graded Magic Power, Soul Power, and Future Ceiling or Bloodline. In your case, your future ceiling aptitude is B grade due to being of muggleborn, which is of a higher level than the average muggleborn, but soul power is SS Grade, which is astronomical due to transmigration and rebirth. As your Sonority is super asymmetrical, you are showing less power and developing slowly than others who have all 3 powers in C Grade, although both are muggleborn, even though you're putting in more effort.

'As you wouldn't be able to lower your soul power, you should upgrade your bloodline and magic power, as it will bring back the balance and help you become powerful. Lastly, for now, your power, which is in the Adept Ranking, is 4th in ranking from the lower side. There are Senior Wizard/Witch, Master Wizard/Witch, Grandmaster Wizard/Witch, Archmage, and Adept Archmage who are currently dormant in the world. There are also more high-ranking people, but just like previously I said due to your insufficient power and authority, I will not provide you the information for now, as it will only increase trouble for you.

And I think all has been told, which can be told for now. So, I will suggest the host start a family and reach every milestone ASAP. Adiós Por Ahora, Perezoso.'

Adrian delved into deep thought as soon as the system stopped talking, processing the wealth of information and searching for a proper way to become more powerful. He knew that, although this world was somewhat civilized, it was still a jungle where only the strong ruled the weak.

From the system's side, he understood one thing for sure: he wouldn't get any help from it unless he married and slowly developed his family power by completing milestones. Pursuing power through normal means was also out of the question as he was essentially nobody in this world, unaware of how he died.

Adrian reminded himself not to fall for the narrative of characters like Harry Potter, Tom Riddle, Albus Dumbledore, or other Half-Bloods, and even a few lucky Muggleborn wizards who became powerful in the books. They all had invisible protection as members of ancient pure-blood families with endless connections and power that were not available to them. It's always the gradual and tedious process of upgrading the status for all Muggleborn wizards and witches.

"So for me now, it should be about marrying a good witch and slowly working to support my family before I can gather gifts and power-ups from milestone completions." Adrian, however, found himself at a disadvantage as he had always focused on studies and potion research during his time at Hogwarts and later while working at Caldwell Apothecary. He lacked good friends, let alone a female friend.

"It's going to be tough, I think. Just take a short break, and I will think about it during my recovery. I need to take care of my parents in this world now, as it's been a very long time since I saw them, neglecting them due to my potion studies."

Three days passed, and Adrian was released from the hospital after a full recovery. He then went to his workplace and applied for a one-month vacation, wanting to visit his parents during that time and carefully consider his plans. Although Adrian was a competent Apprentice Potioneer at Caldwell, with good ideas and a professional work ethic, he was always subconsciously ignored by the wizarding families due to his lack of potential future and politically powerful backing. Getting his vacation approved easily, he headed to Portsmouth.

.....

March 25th, 1896

It had been almost two days since Adrian returned home to Portsmouth. His parents were ecstatic upon seeing him, believing that their son had perished. It was common for young British men to travel to other colonies after completing their studies, and often, they did not return. This had led his parents to assume the worst.

Adrian's surprise knew no bounds when he discovered a cute nine-month-old baby girl named Diana Astrid Walcombe. Given that his parents were approaching their mid-40s and had a history of miscarriages and lost children, this news was astonishing. However, both the child and the mother were healthy, bringing joy to Adrian.

Though caught off guard, Adrian felt immense happiness as his attention shifted slightly from the system's demands for power. He realized that his parents would be preoccupied with his younger sister, reducing the likelihood of them missing him terribly. The system confirmed that his sister was a Muggle.

The past two days had been surprising but fulfilling, with Adrian spending quality time with his family. Once he had somewhat cooled off, he began contemplating how to secure his family on the Muggle side, considering that neither his parents nor his sibling possessed magical abilities. After some brainstorming, he identified a few potential methods.

Recognizing that his family was uneducated, financially strained, and lacked social connections, Adrian pondered the idea of helping his father establish a shipyard with unique ship designs and technology. However, he also acknowledged the potential concerns this could raise, as they were not a prominent family with sufficient power and influence.

He understood that accumulating wealth could become a liability if he wasn't strong. One option was to regularly return covertly and use his magic to assist his family. Yet, this approach posed risks, including potential exposure to the Ministry of Magic and the consumption of precious time needed for magical endeavors.
