Nino and Ragnar

"What do you think you're doing?", she asked angrily while she scowled into Morgantus' face.

"Uh...Nino...Remember the roommate thing…?", Ragnar replied with a stunned expression on his face as he stared at Nino.

She released Morgantus from her grasp and looked at him apologetically before turning to face Ragnar again.

"I'm sorry Ragnar, I wasn't thinking..." she said as she turned back towards Morgantus. "I don't know what I was thinking..."

"Hey...it's okay Nino..." Morgantus replied as he shook his head as he spoke.

Morgantus stood there for a moment in awkward silence, feeling uncomfortable with this whole situation.

He glanced over at Fediluv, who had just come out of one of the bedrooms and was staring at Ragnar curiously, before turning back towards Morgantus once again.

"I'm Morgantus." He paused briefly before continuing with a strong tone, "And this is my best friend Fediluv."

"Nice to meet you both...", Ragnar said with a warm smile as he extended his hand towards them both as he greeted them in turn.

Nino joined Ragnar in greeting them both after a brief pause.

"Let's eat first before we get too deep into the conversation. Do you have any suggestions for dinner?", Nino asked.

"We just arrived in Orlandine an hour ago, so I don't really know what there is to eat here yet...", Morgantus said.

"Oh...you don't have to worry about that right now.", Nino said as she waved her hand dismissively. "I'll take care of that for us."

Nino eagerly opened the door to the room and went out, leaving them standing there in awkward silence.

"So, Ragnar...how long have you been here?", Morgantus asked, breaking the silence.

"I've been here with Nino for a little over three weeks.", Ragnar answered.

"Three weeks? We only got here an hour ago...",

Morgantus said as he furrowed his brow.

"Great timing...we have our first class tomorrow morning too. So, Nino and I can answer most of the questions you have, if you have any at all." Ragnar said with a sheepish grin on his face.

"Well...there are a lot of things that we want to know about this place.

Like how does this magic university thing work, where are the classrooms, who are our teachers, and stuff like that.", Fediluv said as she started to list off some of the questions that she had prepared.

Leran had pushed them away from Lereleona before she got the chance to ask anything.

Time passed rapidly as Ragnar continued answering Morgantus' and Fediluv's questions about their new school life at the magic university of Orlania and about Orlandine in general.

The sun started to set as Nino finally came in with the dinner. "Here you go guys...dinner", Nino said as she set down plates for each of them as she sat down on one of the couches nearby.

The food was simple, but filling, consisting of a variety of vegetables, boiled potatoes and slices of ham.

The four of them ate quietly as they continued discussing how things worked in their new school. Morgantus thought it was good that they could get to know each other better since they had just arrived.

He could tell that Fediluv had a lot of curiosity about everything as well, but he noticed that she was careful about asking questions in case she would spook someone.

None of them had mentioned anything about the visions of doom.

She had told them about her family, Teckleville and her past experiences.

Morgantus had already known most of these things anyway since they had been friends for years, but it still felt good to hear her share her experiences with others.

After the misunderstanding earlier, Nino had begun to act more relaxed than Morgantus had ever seen her before.

What seemed like her usual enthusiasm was starting to shine through.

It looked as though she was getting more comfortable around them as well. It was mostly because of Fediluv.

Morgantus smiled at that thought as he finished the last of his potatoes and began to clean his plate with his fingers. He was happy that everything seemed to be working out for the two of them.

"I can't wait to get started tomorrow!", Fediluv said as she looked up at Morgantus. "Are you excited as well?"

"Yeah...", Morgantus muttered as he stared at Fediluv's face and smiled gently. "I'm looking forward to this."

Nino chuckled softly, "You guys are weird." She said with a hint of exasperation in her voice, "I can't believe that you're already looking forward to school."

Morgantus gave Nino a confused look.

"Imagine the homework that we'll be assigned to do after school starts tomorrow!", Nino said with a shiver. "It's like night and day from what I'm used to.", she continued.

Nino seemed to be on edge after she mentioned the word 'homework.' Morgantus began to understand why.

They were at the only magic university in Orlania, a place that was famous for its magic and culture. Everyone knows that this is where some of the greatest mages in the country go to learn magic.

Naturally, to be one of the greatest requires one to work like no one else. Morgantus joined in with Nino as he also got the shivers.

The reason he was accepted to the school was not even by his own merit. But, he was here now and was going to get through this the best way he possibly could.

I've been at this place for weeks now, and it feels like I haven't seen anything yet. Can't wait to finally get started.", Ragnar said.

"You know what I'm worried about though?", Nino added, "What if I'm not good enough at magic? What if I can't keep up with the classes?"

"We'll figure it out together.", Ragnar responded as he held her hand. "You'll be fine."

"Thank you...I feel better now.", Nino replied as she looked up at Ragnar and smiled at him.
