You All Passed
"Stop the assessment now" IF shouted
"No. Not yet, Not yet." Hugo head of the teaching institution said raising his hand to intercept the order given by IF.
"Aren't you enjoying the show or rather fight put by the future leaders of the Academy against these monstrous beasts&" he said seeming sarcastic.
"What the hell are you talking about?" IF retorted. "Do I need to remind you that these are young teens are they just came out of the Pooling Area. How do you expect much from them when they haven't been given adequate training"
There was no response from Hugo.
"Is this how you want to perform your duty as the head of the Teaching Institution? Do you want to show yourself incompetent just for the fun of enjoying a good show?" IF said.
Hugo's face immediately changed and now he looked furious.
"Do I need to remind you IF that what I do is none of your business. It's my duty, Yes. What more can I do to make you get off my tail and stop questioning me huh. What more!"
"Okay. Okay" IF responded.
As quick as lightning, IF had appeared behind Hugo who was sitting on his chair comfortably and held his golden sword against his neck.
Gasps escaped the mouth of those who were present in the hall. Who wasn't aware that IF was one of the strongest men and fastest killer in the Academy if not the best except the LORDS. This was proven on an event day in the Academy to find the strongest and most capable among all high ranking officials of the Academy.

The day was bright and sunny, the LORDS of the Academy were seated in the large spectator seat together with all high ranking officials of the Academy. The event of the day was being broadcasted live to the entire Academy C institution including the other 7 sectors/classes. The setting of the event auditorium was kind of a Gladiator setting. It was an event to test all officials of the Academy and get the most capable. Prior to the this day, all the officials of the Academy participated and were dropped one after the other till the last two. Arch lord of the Mechs and Arch lord of the Knights. Publis and IF respectively. Publis was the only mech ability user in the entire Academy C institution. And IF, well he had a unique ability known only to the the Supreme Commander of THE ACADEMY. Today was the great fight between these two.
Publis wore a chest piece made up of strong iron. Thick and durable it was. It made his chest invulnerable and large. All other parts of his body were covered in dark mech parts. And finally, he wore a helmet. His entire armour glowed a distinct black.
IF on the other hand, wore a curved black chest piece. It looked like a jacket, but it was worn kind of backwards. Whereas in the case of a jacket, the hands are taken backward to fit into the spaces provided, for this chest piece, the hands are taken forward to fit into the spaces provided. The chest piece was long reaching the thighs and made of a material rare to find which made it inpenetrable. He wore a normal jeans and nothing to cover the hands. IF had two strange swords at his back and always held another one.
IF stood at one end of the arena while Publis stood at the other end. A bell was rung to signal the start of the fight.
The two competitors moved at quick speed and shook the earth with their fighting. Publis arm metamorphorsed into a a gun like weapon making creaking sounds. Out of weapon little arm like sticks came out rotating shooting out bullet like pins about 8 inches long which blew up on impact with anything. IF did a quick work of these bullets by swinging his sword in quick motion hitting away the bullets before they could explode. Publis was getting tired and frustrated with each passing bullet that was deflected. He jumped up creating an mace out of his hand. Aiming for IF, he swung his hand wildly. IF skillfully parried the mace while counterattacking. Pushing his sword forward, he created a wave that pushed Publis back throwing him off balance. IF reacted to this opportunity and delivered a one foot kick to the unprepared Publis's chest. The effect of the kick was very evident as Publis was sent flying to the other end of the arena. Before he could crash, an iron backpack formed on his back. Out of it came out two arm like structures which balanced him on the floor steadily. Propelling himself, he launched towards IF.
BOOM
The fight raged on destroying the arena. However, the winner was becoming clear. Publis had several marks and bruises on his body and his armour was torn beyond repair as it could repair itself. After some more raging battle, Publis fell to his knee wounded and weak. One slash from IF ended the fight with a deep gash to Publis's left shoulder making IF the Victor.

At this moment, Hugo knew it would take only one slice and he would join him grandfather.
"Stop the assessment now" IF voice menacing voice sounded.
"Stop the assessment now" Hugo ordered the staffs in charge of the portal. The staffs began duty and IF released his group from Hugo and stared at the screen showing the video coverage of the students assessment. He stared closely at the scene before him and shouted
" Be fast about that" addressing the staffs in charge of the portal travel.
"Sir, it would take some time to set the portals working. They've been dormant for quite some while" a staff spoke up referring to the large portal in front of him. These type of portals required time to get started.

The whole environment was about to explode as a result of the radiation from the life force of the Dracoid.
Davis immediately raised a protective barrier over himself and his teammates.
BOOM
The environment blew up sending harsh and intense radiation destroying all life forms within it's range.
Davis protective barrier began to crack gradually.
Elsewhere, another group had been surrounded by Demon paraflys - man eating insects- about 40 of them as large as a kitchen sink. The group were seriously injured from their previous fight with Arch sabers - Lion looking ferocious creatures.
Elsewhere, a particular group were about to be sunk into the ground and buried alive as they were fighting with an Earth demon which could manipulate earth.

"Sir, the portal is ready, we're bringing the students back"

The protective barrier was beginning to break until....
The paraflys swarmed towards the students and the group fighting against Earth demon were suffocating from being buried....

"Hallelujah! The students made it" a staff shouted.
IF smiled looking at the students who were teleported back in time. They were all bloodied, some even passed out.
Healers emerged from all corners and began to do their job, rejuvenating all the students in no time, though they still needed medical attention.
"Stand up" IF ordered the students putting on a stern face.
Jim stood up weakly together with all the other students while giving Davis a thumbs up.
"You all did very well today and the Academy appreciates that. However, none of you failed. You all passed the assessment as it was to test and bring our your survival instinct while discovering your potential. You will all be permitted to go get a good rest and treatment for a day, after which, you be moved to main hall for your classes and then orientated before you become full fledged students" IF stated.
"I hope I am clear" all the students answered in the affirmative.
"You can go" If concluded and ordered.
All the students began to file out from the hall while Jim grouped together with his teammates.
"We all did well. Hopefully, we will get a good score in the assessment. I look forward to that" Davis said.
"Davis our hero" Kay said while smiling.
Jim's eyes narrowed as he tried to take Kay away from Davis. "I guess you'll all have a good day."
"You too" they all chorused.
"Yikes! I'm tired" Jim said as he started moving to his hostel.
