1 ch 1: caster champion

On the second floor of a cafe in a small town located outside a coastal city. Three friends discussed vigorously.

Alen, a tall guy with a skinny physique lifted his hand with his hand and said: "lvl doesn't matter, it's all in the skill. I choose [twin arrow] and [spiral blade]."

His hand that was lifted descended softly, landing on the side of a square board.

"hmm, what skill is there in the oldest tactic known to casters"

Dave, who was sitting opposite him said. He was shorter than Alen and wore a long coat that hid his physique. What was special about him was his long hair that gathered in a bun.

Dave pulled his hand from his pocket and placed it in the hi side of the board.

"[wind spirit] [fire spirit] [lightning mage] deal with this"

They both removed their hands from the board as small figures appeared on top of it.

A womanly figure with leather armour and a helmet marched slowly as two hooded women with short stature prepared their bows.

On the opposite side a long haired man with a hooded robe ran with two balls behind him. The two balls flew in the air in an arc shape from behind the wizard to the [twin arrow] when they landed they exploded merging together and forming a flaming tornado.

"This is the benefit of affinity." Dave said plainly.

The flaming tornado raged as flames erupted at [spiral blade] side. Despite this she showed no signs of weakness or slowness.

Dave smiled at this and said.

"now look this interaction"

Alen looked at dave with a questioning gaze before saying:

"even if your lightning mage has a ranged attack and my spiral blade is slightly damaged I should still win this interaction"

"Normally, yes"

Dave said playfully.

The spiral blade reached the range of the lightning mage and was hit with a lightning bolt. She was stunned for a second before starting to move again, but an explosion happened after.

"this is the interaction of electricity and fire; overcharge"

Dave explained.

Alen sighed while placing a purple card on the table.

"sigh. I thought I had this time, I guess the bill is on me."

Dave said while taking a sip of his tea.

"Don't be disheartened, It takes time to know and remember all the element interactions and familiarising yourself with the different troops."

Third person who was with them, Mark, finally spoke in an enthusiastic tone.

"Look, the match is about to start".

The three boys looked the a TV mounted on the cafe wall with anticipation as the announcer said:

"Dear viewers, this is the moment we've all been waiting for. The match that will decide the Caster champion of the 20th caster tournament.
