"Dinosaurs die for weapons, beasts don't always." Ralph spoke with a solemn expression.

~ Roarr

A roar revealed the monster's position. It looked like a jaguar but had gray fur, was five meters high and spines spread across the column. It eyes were red, seeming to look at the Walkers with infinite hatred.

"Spread out." Junior said while throwing a grenade at the beast, to try to buy time.

~ Boom

The grenade exploded, causing the beast to retreat a single step.

Ralph tried to buy more time by creating a huge circle of flames around the beast. Another Walker with real flame control also helped Ralph.

The beast was hesitant for a moment, long enough for the Walkers to spread out. But she then moved towards Ralph and the other Walker.

"Shit ..." Ralph cursed as he made several incandescent trees submerge from the ground, with roots going in the direction of the beast in a great imposing way.

The beast instinctively dodged, but realized Ralph's flaw in the illusion soon after.

"Tsk ..." Ralph smiled bitterly, to create such an illusion he had to focus only on the image and sounds, abandoning the thermal sensation.

"Hooooo ..." The Walker next to Ralph created a large flame barrier in front of the two.

On the flanks of the beast, Victor made several stones and tree trunks levitate and hurled them towards the beast. On the other side, Junior was trying to get close enough to the beast and find a weakness.

It was clear that the beast would not die with just ordinary bullets and explosives, they had to use their skills!

Briella acted quickly and began to make several roots rise from the earth and surround the beast, but without being able to arrest it.

The beast seemed to be irritated and her eyes began to shine strangely.

The sense of crisis covered everyone in the place.

The air suddenly seemed to solidify and no one could move. The beast also appeared to be affected but it was able to move.

"But what ..." Everyone was confused

Everyone swallowed their own saliva, if this continued they would be devoured one by one.

"Haaaaa ..." A Walker suddenly started screaming and moving slowly. His muscles were all inflated.

But that did not change the general situation.

The beast noticed the movement and started walking towards that Walker.

One step, two steps. With each step the beast took, it was almost two meters closer.

The Walker, who was a man, started to sweat cold, he was moving slowly than the beast.

When it was almost snapping at the Walker, however, a large thorn of earth appeared below the beast, causing great damage to her.

The beast roared in pain, and the air seemed to have less solidified, as the Walkers managed to move with difficulty.

The Walker woman with the bandage on her arm had her hands on the floor in a corner, it seems that she was the one to create the thorn.

One thing scared everyone, however, the beast's wound was closing quickly, and the air was getting more solid. The beast's ability to regenerate was incredible.

Ralph was sweating deeply, he had to find an opportunity for a finishing blow to hit the beast, not giving him the opportunity to recover.

He then noticed Victor waving at him.

Ralph ground his teeth and seemed to concentrate.

Suddenly, another beast appeared from the ground beside the big jaguar.

It was a huge worm, with a circular mouth with several teeth.

The worm roared at the great jaguar.

The jaguar then turned his attention to the worm instinctively.

Smoke came out of the worm's mouth, covering the entire beast, preventing her from seeing.

"Now!!" Ralph cried out desperately.

Victor then levitated a man who was at the same post as him, the man carried a large stone.

Quickly, Victor put the man over the big jaguar, before it could get rid of the smoke.

The man controlled his dizziness and dropped the stone above the beast.

The stone seemed common, but someone with a minimum of neurons would perceive the Momentum of the stone, it seemed to have the weight of a meteor, since even partially solidified air did not slow it down.

~ Boom Roar

The noise of shock and a roar of pain made everyone's ears ache.

Ralph dispelled the illusion he had created, showing the beast pressed against the ground, with the stone on her head. Blood seeps out of all the holes in it.

The air returned to normal and everyone did not hesitate to act, each used the available skill to inflict maximum damage.

Briella held the beast firmly with roots, Victor put several stones and tree trunks above the beast, Junior shot the beast in the eyes, another Walker created flames below the beast and, because of the roots, the flames became huge.

Briella continued to sink roots, even though the beast had stopped moving.

Fire, ice, earth and air. It looked like a festival of elemental skills, and also other strange skills.

After a few minutes, making sure the beast was dead, everyone sat down and let out a sigh of relief.

"Who killed her?" Someone suddenly asked.

Victor looked at the person with a little anger, does it really matter?

"It doesn't matter, what matters is that we are all alive." Junior said.

"Heheh, cut the bullshit. We all participated in the battle, we deserve to know that who had the last hit." The person spoke mockingly.

"Really, why don't you show yourself?" The person spoke visibly irritated.

The person clicked his tongue and was silent.

After they got some breath, everyone got up.

"We can't stay here, we better keep going." Victor spoke but then frowned.

"Where's Ralph? Did either of you see him?" Victor asked.

No one answered.

"Sigh ... that bastard." Junior sighed.

"So, are we going to wait for him here and be attacked by beasts who were attracted by the noise from before?" Briella asked suddenly.

Victor looked at Briella with a sharp look.

"Are you suggesting that we abandon him?"

Briella did not answer.

"Calm down, let's discuss this peacefully .." Junior intervened.

A few hundred meters away, Ralph was invisible and walking in one direction, east.

As to why, he detected a small tremor coming from that direction.

He does not know what caused this tremor, but it may have relations with the military.

After walking for a few minutes, Ralph suddenly saw something a little distant.

Ralph tried to keep his invisibility as perfect as possible, despite his tiredness, and approached slowly.

He then saw clearly what he had seen.

A crater, blood and pieces of a possible beast scattered all over the place, and some soldiers collecting the body of the beast as if in a hurry.

"Heheh!" Ralph scoffed softly.

The flame lit in Ralph's eyes. He was sure he could do something very interesting.

Ralph took an opportunity and got into the truck where the beast had been placed without anyone noticing.

"I'm sure they will take this body to an interesting place."

The truck was of a special type, it was built to walk in the forest and in extreme reliefs.

There was an escort of two military jeeps that went ahead to remove possible obstacles.

After a few minutes, the truck stopped beside a river, there was a boat waiting for them.

Ralph took advantage of the situation and climbed into the boat unseen along with the body of the beast, which looked like a monkey.

Given the size of the beast, it shouldn't have been more powerful than that jaguar before, but probably on the same level as the alligator that Ralph faced.

The sound of the engine starting informed Ralph that they were leaving.

A flash of hesitation passed through Ralph's eyes. He had abandoned his teammates, this can be considered a serious failure and he can fail.

But Ralph then shook his head and made up his mind. Even if he fails, his goal from the beginning is to have fun, to overcome obstacles. The flame in Ralph's eyes shone even brighter.

Because the time spent at the military base, the flames in Ralph's heart seemed to want to consume everything, he was confident at the peak. Arrogance that was previously buried deep in his soul begins to fill his mind.

All of this contributed to Ralph's decision, even if he didn't fully realize it.

In addition, there was no term forbidding him to abandon his companions in this test, so he probably would not be severely punished if he were really to be punished.

Since the boat was covered, he could not see the environment, but he knew that he would probably arrive somewhere sooner or later.

After a few hours, the boat stopped, and Ralph again activated invisibility.

The military removed the body of the beast with a screech after opening the boat's cover and placed it in a box.

Ralph can then see how far he has come.

It was a huge military base, with several white tents scattered everywhere, as well as heavily armed military personnel.

Ralph swallowed his own saliva and began to explore the place carefully. Although his invisibility was effective against human eyes, it still left traces like footprints on the floor and a small lack of coordination in the temperature.

Ralph could feel that he was not far from reaching level three in his skill, he just lacked a stimulus, something that would move him forward. He thought that maybe he could get this stimulus from this training, but if he just follows the military plan, there will be no real tension.

Ralph soon realized that the base was not so simple, there were also several people in white coats and research instruments, it looked more like a secret laboratory.

When he reached that conclusion, Ralph felt a chill in his spine. If it were just a military base, he probably would not be punished. But what if this were a military base for secret research?

Ralph thought as he smiled strangely, his goal was achieved.

-I definitely can't get caught, but since I'm here ...

Ralph thought and looked at the only building in the place, it seemed to be the most important place since it was in the center.

Ralph didn't hesitate much and went over there, entering with the utmost care.

Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any heat signal detectors, or they were turned off and working only at night.

There were soldiers and scientists everywhere, the building had two floors and also had a stairway that led to the underground.

Since it was right in the center of the base, the military was not on full alert and it was easy for Ralph to infiltrate.

-I was already very tired, I think I only have one more hour before I can no longer maintain the illusion.

Ralph thought as he explored the building.

Downstairs there were many stewards, probably responsible for the administrative affairs of the base.

On the first floor there were many scientists and several separate and closed rooms, with several experiments taking place in them.

Ralph had to go through a sterilizer to advance to the second floor, but luckily there was no one guarding the place and he just needed to create a small illusion in the area, so no one would see the sterilizer at work.

The sterilizer served to prevent contamination from outside and also from inside. There were probably a lot of dangerous experiments on the second floor.

Although Ralph pursues a scientific background, he basically doesn't understand what he can see. He only knows that scientists in general are experimenting with samples of the body of various beasts.

Biology was never Ralph's field, so he was not discouraged and continued to explore the place.

The second floor was the same as the first, except that all rooms had their own sterilizers. In addition, the windows were all dark and it was not possible to see what was happening on the other side.

Ralph did not dare to enter any room, both for his own safety and that of others.

After walking through several places he decided to go down to the ground floor and go underground.

To Ralph's surprise, there was no experiment there, but it seemed like a place for discussion between scientists and the military. There was a large room that seemed to be used for official meetings.

Ralph clicked his tongue after exploring everything he could, he didn't discover any secret information or anything, the scientists themselves seemed to avoid any sensitive subject.

-I will recommend that they install thermal detectors when I get the chance, if I can get in here it means that other people or beasts can too.

Ralph thought as he moved carefully, avoiding the military as much as possible.

After walking for a few moments, however, something caught Ralph's attention. It looked like a gun rack, but with things that looked like swords?

Ralph approached slowly, and making sure that no one was around, he picked up one of the blades. It was completely gray, both the blade and the handle that was long enough to be held with two hands, the blade was five feet long and six inches wide.

The blade had a sharp edge only on one side, making it look a bit like a Ninjato.

Ralph held it with two hands tightly and felt like he could cut anything.

Suddenly, a thought came to Ralph's head. He had good skill, but he had almost no real fighting power. Perhaps this sword would at least partially fill that gap?

Although he was unaware of the sword's ability, it was obvious that it was special, as no modern army uses ordinary swords.

Ralph concentrated and swung the sword forward. The sound of the blade slicing through the air was clear and sharp, which indicates how sharp the blade is.

Ralph decided to exit the base and test the blade on some trees, but a mutation occurred.

Ralph felt like something was being forcefully sucked out of himself. At the same time, some inscriptions appeared all over the slide, they glowed a slight green.

Ralph thought and quickly tried to cover the mutation with an illusion. Although he was doing this before, the light that appeared was not covered by the ability, and could easily be seen by others.

Ralph looked around carefully, but it looked like he was in luck as there was no one watching. He then decided to leave that place quickly, with a sense of crisis covering him.

But when Ralph took just two steps, a person appeared in front of him. He was an old man, but something in the old man's eyes made Ralph sure he was being seen.

Ralph was paralyzed for a moment and the old man shouted:

"Intruder !! Here, come here!"

Ralph took a deep breath and smiled bitterly, it was probably impossible for him to get away now, and maybe it was better if he didn't try.

He slowly bent down with his hands on his head, getting on his knees, and dispelled the illusion.

Ralph began to feel the looks of hostility, and some lasers were aimed at his head.

"Cough ... I'm not an enemy ..." Ralph just had time to say that and felt his own conscience getting more and more cloudy, until he passed out.

Ralph fell with a dart in the neck.
