1 Chapter 1 Weirdo Arthur
[ Brief history:
Centuries have gone by since the first beast invasion, that day was called the apocalypse.
people lost their hopes as news of massacre could be heard some lost their friends, some their family members, some became orphans but this was not the end.
As after every winter comes spring so does the birth of life,
After the destruction came resurrection as the mystical energy mana emerged changes began to happen.
Some Plants grew in size some bore wondrous fruits, some grew sentient attacking people.
Animals began to grow in size, some have elemental skills or physically 10 times stronger than before.
Humans began to have stronger physique, some humans awakened innate skills.
Then some geniuses researched different ways to utilise mana to strengthen ourselves to hunt monsters.
Relying on the already available combat arts, studying it intensively to integrate mana and
combat arts into one to create new mana techniques.
After many failures the Founders of the primary mana technique's hardwork bore fruit,
This technique allowed many people to rise in strength and fought back against the monsters the people called this people hunters.
As the number of hunters rose the founders and the new hunters hunted the beast allowing for a safe haven to be created.
To recover more of the human ground the Founders created the Hunter's Association expand the hunters number and coordination to help humanity tide through a new age.
As of now the Hunter's Association is the largest organization and lauded as the strongest as numerous combat skills and techniques filled it's coffers.
50 years ago the first successful batch of beast tamers emerged borrowing strength from their tamed beast.

In Steelpass town,
It was silent with only some of the town gaurd patrolling for crimes and the sentry doing a look out for monster tide.
The bright morning sun began to rise so did the towns people as they leave for their work or to make food for their children,
"get up or you will be late for the mine" "Oie get out of the way" "buy this rank 1 blackbunny for 15 credit! only two left come now or regret it"
the Steelpass town is famous for its large iron mine and low rank fire metal ore,
So the market is always crowded with shopkeeper, vendors and monster meat shops advertising their products loudly shouting here and there.
One can see earth lizards beast pulling carriages filled with iron and weapons transporting it to other towns and cities.
Wind horse pulling carriages carrying harvest could be seen entering the town.
The town is thriving with activity and miners could be seen going to work.

if one listens carefully in this loud hustle and bustle, the click clack of metal could be heard that's the sound of the towns blacksmiths working on their orders that was placed.
Some could be common working tools used for mining and utility tools or weapons that new hunters use.
Blacksmith and artifact forging is different as in artifact forgers utilise mana technique to allow for a magic weapon.
creating rank 1 magic weapon means you qualify as a 1star artifact master.
artifact master is rare as in the Steelpass town only two 1star artifact master could be found.
blacksmith's crafted weapons is unranked as hunter's can't infuse mana into it to make it easier to go past the defences of monsters.
suitable for newbies as they mostly fight each other or unranked beast,
Only at the yearly exam to join as a hunter do they need to kill a rank 1 beast to qualify for the hunter association located at the city.
Some other talent could try as an artifact master in the artifact association,
Or other talent could forge pill as in Alchemist in the Alchemist association.
In one of the large forge named Sarah's Hammer,
A young boy with blonde hair and compact and lean muscle was working on the forge and being watched by five people.
they had stopped their work and were here to see if he would succeed today.
"John do you think your son can do it today" before John could reply another man answered
"I know he is a genius but I don't think he will succeed, but I really hope he does that will make our forge's fame rise to another level and show that Old Willie we are a better forge than theirs"
John nodded"I believe in art if anyone one can succeed it's him "
watching the fire glow on the boy with sweat dripping from his temple but had a serious concentrated look.
they were discussing whether or not the boy called Arthur,
who was still hammering at the red hot metal held by the thong into the shape of a dagger,
after the shape was beginning to form the boy expertly infused his family's artifact mana technique to form a rank 1 weapon.
On the dagger appeared A single mana vein, "Oh my god! he really did it."
"Our forge now has a second 1star artifact master."John too was happy seeing Arthur succeed.
Arthur wiped his sweat and his face beamed with a wide smile, he wanted to spent more time here but the time for Academy had started.
According to the artifact association artifact was ranked low to high,
Rank 1 to Rank 9 then each rank divided into low, mid, high and peak.then next rank comes.
Arthur ran and arrived at his
class on Time.
The Steelpass Academy the only Academy in town that prepares students to become hunters.
The teacher Farlan was talking about the upcoming hunter's test in a month.
"Everyone as the home teacher of grade 3C, I have big hopes on all of you especially class monitor Emma,
if anyone one of you has exceptional result the school will reward you 50 thousand credit and a combat skill."
Arthur hearing about the 50 thousand cash reward grew ecstatic as the school really was generous,
normally his father earned 700 credit monthly if a big order don't come for the and that was considered many.

the class is over,
Arthur slunged the bag on his back and made way for his home, three students blocked his way,
the middle one Dale shouted " hey Weirdo! where's today's pay you dumbass " the other two laughed mockingly.
Arthur to avoid the hassle gave 10 credit which was some families monthly pay to them.
Receiving the money they pushed him aside and went for their next prey.
Shaking his head at his pathetic state he went home,he had no friend it's because of his innate ability.
That allows him to see spirit even now he could tell the bullies spirit had a tint of red signifying their brutal nature.
Dead beast spirit, dead people spirit he could see them but it was considered a useless ability and creepy.
All who attends the academy needs to atleast have innate ability so common people can't attend it.
Some have innate strength,some innate combat related like easier to learn sword arts, or spear arts etc.
beast tamers were famous in their town as if you become one you win both glory and earnings that will set them for life
At home
Arthur asked"Mom I am home can you make me something to eat I am starving "
My mom Sarah was a 3star food hunter it means she is one of the strongest in the town,
how dad got mom he was confused, sometimes Sarah brought home fire boar meat which was delicious as well as provided mana to strengthen oneself,
it was considered a luxury here as the boar is rank 3 beast and stayed in group it's difficult to hunt them without a group of 3star hunter.
so mom getting one is already evident of her strength.
Sarah replied"Art just a minute I am roasting the meat, why don't you go wash up and I'll be done by then,okay"
he said"ok thanks mom " and rushed to freshen himself up in the bathroom he saw a male spirit
with burnt face frightening him. "Ahhh" he screamed and closed the door then from downstairs he heard his mom
"honey Did you see a ghost again, do you want me to come upstairs " hearing his mom's concern he replied " ii itt's alright I was just suprised that's all, don't worry mom! "
As a 12year old seeing a burnt face was terrifying eventhough it's not his first time seeing scary stuff like this.
calming down he deactivated his ability as he grew up his ability grew too that's why nowadays he could see more clearly.
before he only saw some illusory smoke spirit without any defining feature so he could cope with it but vivid spirit with no head and eaten bodies was not good for a child his age.
A gladdening thing is the ghost can't touch him or harm him, he wished he had a different innate talent.
After lunch he carried food for dad with the wish to continue his work.
To consolidate his new rank of artifact master he spent the time on the forge practising to keep himself from being arrogant and aim for the rank 2 artifact master.
After finishing his work he went home with his dad and had dinner before calling it a day.
