1 Chapter 1
(The current date is January 8th, 2024. Cyril's birthdate is January 7th, 2006.)
Just like every ordinary young man, our main character Cyril is sitting on his gaming chair being laid back, and is doing nothing but playing video games all day and every day.
All of a sudden, he was struck by lightning. When he awakened, he discovered that it had already been 6 hours since he was awake. He feels hunger welling up from his stomach.
He decided to get up and leave his room to go get some food. While he went walking toward the kitchen to get some food and drinks, he noticed that nobody was in the house. He went outside to check the driveway and to the surprise of seeing the family car still in the driveway
He thought it was weird that nobody is home with the family car still here, but dismissed it a few seconds later. Likewise, he decided to go back to the kitchen.
As he was going back to the kitchen, he abruptly heard a "Ding" and a voice that sounded robotic yet feminine.
[Congratulations on activating the first Apocalypse System, with the system, the host can gain any random skill or ability either by killing a boss level monster or completing a B Rank or higher Quest. On every occasion that the host levels up, the host will be rewarded 6 Stat points and three talent points]

Cyril is the Otaku he is. He is aware of what a system is. Using knowledge gained from reading novels he quickly grasped how to use the system. After checking to see if what he is seeing and hearing is real, he started to stabilize his breathing and calm his mind down. After regaining his composure he asked the system.
"Do you know where my family is?" [The Host family appears to have no one else who was born inside the years 2005, 2006, and 2007.]
"What does that have to do with anything that's going on right now?" Cyril abruptly interrupted the system explanation.
[Host please remain calm and let me explain what is going on thoroughly. As I was saying because the host is the only person who was born in those years, the host is forced to remain in the world.
Everybody who was born in those years is also forced to remain on planet Earth. As for those who aren't, they're in another dimension, without the knowledge of yours or any 05 06 and 07 existence.
Now all people who're nevertheless left on this planet are compelled to defend themselves in opposition to the monsters that are arriving in approximately 5 hours from now.]
"I'm sorry for interrupting your explanation system, I lost control of my emotions. Oh!, and thanks for answering my question system."
Cyril thought of the system's explanation and thought of another question. "System what you mean by people who weren't born in 05 06 and 07 is in another dimension without the knowledge of our existence."
[Host, what I mean is that those people's souls were transported into another dimension, where people of 05 06, and 07 don't exist. They also had their memories deleted of yours and the rest of your guys' existence. So you guys are nonexistent in that other dimension]
He processed everything he had heard from the system. He paused and took a look at his stats again. Furthermore, he noticed that there was a Newbies Gift Box.
Cyril thought about it for a bit and asked "Umm system I appear to have a Newbies Gift Pack, how do I open it"
[Host may open gift box by giving the command of open gift box]
Cyril thought about how convenient the system is and commanded, "System open gift box"
[Opening gift pack, Congratulations to the host for acquiring the skill "fireball". The host can use the fireball skill as of right now. In accordance with the amount of MANA the host currently has, the host may only use the fireball five-time because using the fireball requires 2 MANA points. The quantity of host MANA is only at 10]

[Host can increase MANA points either by adding Stat Points to MANA or by ranking up. Ranking up to E rank would automatically raise all stat points by 125, luck is not included.
The host may also increase MANA by eating and drinking food and drinks that contain magical properties.]
As Cyril has nothing to do. Cyril decided to spend the 5 hours before Apocalypse starts, by doing what he loves, which is gaming.
As Cyril is playing games, the rest of the world isn't as calm. People were freaking out, causing mayhem around the world, as there were no government or law enforcers to stop them.
5 hours have passed. Zombies start spawning all over the world. People are dying from all over the world. Only the smart and strong can survive for now.
The smart people knew something was up when people disappeared out of nowhere, so they decided to stay inside and see what would happen next. The strong one killed the zombies using many ways.
Cyril's computer suddenly shut down. He looked at the mechanical clock hanging from his door. He saw that 5 hours had passed
Cyril starts hearing some commotion outside his house. Cyril had taken all the guns and possible weapons into his room before he went gaming. He picked up a handgun that was laying on his bed, put the 9 mm mag into the handgun.
Cyril cautiously walked toward his window and peeked outside his window when he saw a lone zombie. He aimed at the zombie's head and took the shot at the zombie, killing it instantly.
