Chapter 7: First mission

The long time silent system suddenly alearted her with a message.

[Recovery complete, assigning mission...]

[Mission: meditate in nature for 2 hours, reward:5 gold coins, unlock mana, race ticket 1x, spell ticket 2x]

Lily "..."

(Those gold coins must be for the systems shop)

Meditate in nature? Does the race have to do with nature. Why is the system handing out such a weird mission. (System, How do I meditate?)

[Sytem providing method...]

Lily had a speechless expresion, if I did not ask would you have still provided a method?

silence...

She felt even more speechless, is there anyone else who would get such a unreliable system like this.

(Anyway what is the spell ticket?)

[The host can use the spell ticket to spin the wheel of spells and gain a magic skill]

Then I guess the race ticket can also help me gain a race from a wheel but why is a magic sytem giving me a race when I already have one.

System [The human race has a weak compatibility with magic therfore the system provides races with higher compatibility]

Lily ( But won't I only need one race, why is there a wheel for race as well?)

[The race is added to your gene pool and host can gain the characteristics of more than one race but the amount of races at each level is limited]

She felt really eager when she thought about the rewards. Her father and brother were busy with work and school at the moment so she decided to start the meditation immediately since there was still three hours until dinner.

She sat down in an indian style on the grass. The system showed a virtual book with instuctions on how to meditate. (I wonder if I can keep still for two hours)

She closed her eyes then breathed in and out slowly at the instructed intervals until her mind slowly setilled. There were no thoughts on her mind, she could only feel nature around her.

She felt the wind passing over her and heard the leaves rustling.

Suddenly she sensed an energy in the air. When she breathed it in, it would enter her body and when she breathed out most of it was lost but a bit of the energy would stay.

She also noticed that that bit of energy gave of a warm feeling and after she absorbed that bit of energy her body felt lighter and her body and muscles were growing stronger.

She felt the energy was beneficial so when she breathed in she would make an attempt to prevent it from leaving her body when she was breathing. She was able to keep half of the energy in her body after trial and error.

She wondered how long she was meditating and opened her eyes. She checked her phone and saw she had been meditating for three hours.

Lily started sweating, her dad and brother might worry if they can not find her.next time she would set a timer. She stood up to leave but stopped once she heard the systems prompt.

The first thought that came to Lilies mind when she saw all those tickets was( why dont you use just one type of ticket?)

[To make sure the host does not get just skills or just races from the wheel.]

I should use the tickets later and apply the spells to myself first, in the stories i read before when they change race its really painfull. Lily made her way back to her room because her family should be there by now.

(System use all three spell tickets on wheel)

[wheel spinning...]

Lily felt a warm energy entering her head and information she never knew entering her memory.(Luckily it was not painfull...)

I can not wait to use taming magic what pet should I tame? I should check the specifics of each spell. Lily walked with her thoughts wandering while she was on her way to her room.

Suddenly her thoughts were inturupted when she bumbed into a sturdy shoulder. Her eyes were a bit teary, (it felt like I bumbed into a wall) She stumble abit and was about to fall when large hands grabbed her shoulders preventing her from falling.

Lily was slightly disoriented, everything happened too quickly.

Lily: " I'm sorry, I wasn't..." Lily swallowed the rest of her words when she looked up and saw who she bumped into.

A teen with a cold aura, raven black hair and royal blue eyes was looking down at her...
