What did these circles do?

Oh, it simply made everything a seamless surface. Which might not seem to be a problem until you consider the door was a seam, and now the door was gone.

Mors, in this moment, was too afraid to marvel at the flurry of symbols everywhere. Looking back at the giant, Mors asked, "Sooooo, what do you want to ask?"

With a smile, the man replied with what seemed like a dire but simple request, "what do these symbols do, and where did you learn them from?"

Not picking up the serious tone of the question, Mors replied, "I don't know what the symbols do, and I just copied off of an enchantment I found."

His reply didn't really have much thought put into it since the question was simple. All of his current thoughts were about 'how to get out,' and maybe a few of 'how does this work?'

Hearing Mors answer, the man looked over to his side and said, "judge." To which a small circle appeared, and it was different from the rest.

This one just looked like a solid chunk of purple ink. Mors couldn't even see the symbols on it.

And all it did? It just turned a lovely lime green.

Nodding at the disk, the giant looked over at Mors again. Mors made an educated guess that this was judging whether the person was lying or not.

The man took a minute to look at Mors in doubt and confusion. He was expecting the judgment circle to turn red.

Filled with doubt about the reliability of the judgment's enchantment, even though it should never fail, the man quickly pulled a paper out of his back pocket and a pen.

So with that doubt, the giant quickly ordered, "you saw the circles on the wall, reproduce as much as you can."

"What?!" Mors yelled, "but I didn't see them that well…."

"Well, if you just saw looked at a circle randomly and could repeat on the test page," argued the giant, "you can do it here."

"But-" replied Mors before the giant interrupted, "no buts, just do as I say, and if you can do well enough, I'll believe you," replied the giant with a confident tone.

Stressed popped up from inside of Mors as he didn't know if he could do it, so he kindly asked, "Could I see the circle again, since I wasn't really looking at the walls before."

"Sure, why not. It goes fast, though, and you only get one look," replied the blue-eyed giant before saying, "lock."

With his eyes trained on the wall, Mors found the circles appearing again from nowhere, littered a crossed the wall.

Repeating red symbols scattered the walls, which looked somewhat similar in structure to the drying circle, but with different symbols and more symbols.

Trying to push all the symbols into his mind, he watched as the walls returned to normal. After around twenty seconds, all the circles dimmed, and the symbols and circles disappeared.

Pushing the paper in front of Mors, the blue eyes giant said, "ok, now repeat."

"I'll try," replied Mors before grabbing the paper and quickly repeating the circle as much as he could.

To be honest, his drawing skills weren't the best at that point, so his circles weren't straight at all.

And his symbols were badly drawn too…

And maybe he was uncertain of where things were exactly as it mushed in his brain.

But in the end, he came out with half a circle, filled with poorly made symbols in the correct position.

Passing it back to the blue-eyed giant, the giant sighed.

And left Mors waiting…

For at least a few minutes as the dude looked over the page.

Before saying, "It's a bad drawing."

And then following up with, "but I believe you."

"Wait! Really?" Mors asked with shock, not believing he would get out of this sticky situation so easily.

But apparently, his bad drawing counted for something as relief filled his mind.

Taking a sizeable deep breath, Mors became curious and asked, "How?"

Becoming confused by Mors's question, the blue-eyed dude asked, "How what?"

"How does my bad drawing convince you?" Asked Mors. What does he do differently from others to make this person convinced he was just copying patterns.

"Oh, that! Well-" the man stopped for a minute and thought for a minute. He was just going to explain, but it might be a bit confusing if Mors didn't know Enchanting.

Which he guessed since Mors didn't realize what he had done.

"Let me explain it simply. Basically, when people look at enchantments, they usually can't remember the symbols inside. At least, active ones," explained the blue-eyed giant.

Continuing, the blue eyes said, "Even though you didn't get half of it, you got the important half, containing the spell section and the grand symbol."

Hearing that, Mors thought about the part he remembered. Thinking for a minute, he guessed that the grand symbol was the large, complex symbols in the bottom left corner.

It was large and much more complex compared to other little symbols.

Blue eyes started again, asking, "How many times does it take you to memorize a circle?"

"I am not sure, I kind of get lost in my mind while I memorize the circle... Eventually, it just sticks inside my mind." Replied Mors, as he sighed, wishing that it was quick and easy.

With burning eyes, Blue eyes asked, "Wait, you can see it in your mind, a picture or like a free-floating thing?"

"Free-floating... why?" asked Mors.

Inside his mind place, which Mors felt he probably should name, all the circles he saw just float around in there...

He guessed that's what Blue eyes were talking about... could it be something important?

He guessed that as blue eyes started shaking. Shaking so much that dust seemed to vibrate off of him and his coat, giving him a quick wash.

After the excited vibrating finished, the man quickly said, "Come with me... we would like you to look at something..."

Walking towards the door, Blue eyes quickly realized something and said, "Oh yeah, my name is Ator. Now please, follow."

"My name is Mors, and what's going on?" Mors asked Ator since this interaction took a quick turn for the better.

Originally he felt like he was getting interrogated, and now it shifted to Ator looking at him like a treasure.

"Don't worry. If you can help for a moment, everything that happened will be forgotten, and you will get some gold in return," replied Ator with a grand smile.

Opening the interrogation room door, Ator quickly crossed the small hallway and banged on the door in front of him.

Mors, still in his chair, thought Ator would wait for the door to open.

But no, as Ator quickly busted through the door, yelling, "Malle! Put down the hammer. We got something essential to deal with, NOW!!"

And as Mors was standing up, Mors heard Malle yell from the back of the room with a booming voice, "WHAT THE--"

"Shut up, there are children down the hall," Ator yelled at Malle as he walked in.

Continuing his statement, Ator reiterated, "We have something vital to talk about right now."

"WHAT?!" Malle yelled back, hidden in his room, as he continued, "I was working on something important too."

Turning back, Ator kindly asked Mors, "Please come over," and then he yelled down the hall, he yelled, "Magnus Cincinno!"

As he said that, gold circles sprouted from the ground along the hallway, as everything became silent.

Absolutely everything.

The circles even stayed around as they spun. Parts of the wall tops retracted, revealing small shiny material in the center of new red circles.

Stepping out into the hallway, Mors felt he was entering a sticky watery substance as it slightly pushed him back.

And it was hauntingly silent. So a curious idea, Mors decided to try and talk... and heard nothing.

It seemed the circles around stopped sound... or at least that was what Mors thought.

Entering the room with Ator, the watery air stopped as sound started again, as Mors saw the gray-eyed giant from before.

Still covered in the intense amount of soot, Malle soon had a moment of realization as he saw Mors.

"Ahh, hello there, crystal man, How are you today? and what happened to your eyes?" Ator started with a smile.

Before Mors could respond, Ator said, "How do you always find people before me! It's annoying that you never tell me like a regular brother would."

And before either Mors or Malle could talk, he quickly said to both of them, with a semi-commanding voice, "Let's sit down... We all need to talk. Mors has that gift we need."

Totally on time, Dont worry about it.

Anyway, One more chapter and I think they will be done...

Enjoy your day!
