A chilly realization

Learning more about the Enchanters ink, Mors hid inside for a long time, pushing past the 1pm mark and going into 7pm.

He learned some really interesting things, like how the user needs to add a bit of their blood into the monster ink before it can become usable.

Which seems strange and primitive, but apparently, every time someone tried something besides human blood, the ink never worked.

It didn't really help him that all the ghosts were coming in and out of him. All five of them.

Anyway, as Mors learned how much to add and some basics about inking an uneven surface, the person outside was still waiting.

Much to Spir, Genn, and Mors's dismay, the receptionist at the adventuring guild had spotted Mors and wasn't giving up on catching him.

She was the one that met with Jerrald, so she definitely noticed his little friend. She didn't believe that Mors was a part of this plan, but he might know where Jerrald was.

Waiting outside, she started to feel a cold wind draft. She noticed how dark it was getting now.

But steeling herself, she prepared herself to wait into the night. Mors had to exit at some point.

But the cold wind chilled her bones, and her mind started to wander toward how nice it would be warm.

'No, I have been in worse situations. This cold wind isn't too bad,' she thought as she waited some more.

As she waited, nobody noticed a redy blob marked with streaks of purple and blue, like an imperfect gem hovering in the air.

It seemed solid for a moment before violently switching shapes and places.

The blob seemed offended by how the receptionist was staying in one place. It was trying its best.

So as revenge, the blob shook violently, shimmering in a ghostly light, as a nasty cold wind whipped around the receptionist.

Back at the receptionist, she felt the wind pick up and bring a chilly breeze into her bones. She felt like she was freezing in place.

Feeling alerted to this, she started to think, 'I better go back. Maybe Mors convinced the enchanters to help him out.'

She never considered why she didn't see any symbols or circles, nor did she wonder how Mors noticed her. All her mind told her was that she should leave and find Mors later.

Spir, who was one of the few that could see this ruby blob sighed. What that blob did just made things a lot more complicated for the ghosts.

She was crazy, but he never considered that she would be able to affect the real world again.

But she did, and now the others need to learn from her.

Why did it have to be her?

He grumbled to himself, thinking about the pain he would have to endure in the future before returning to Mors to tell him the good news.

Entering the room again, Spir found Mors in the middle of practicing inking some symbols down.

Mors didn't even notice Spir was there, completely locked into practicing.

Moving the brush with his slightly shaky hands as he attempted to make a perfect set of practice symbols.

Letting Mors finish, Spir decided it was best to check on the other ghosts.

Flying off to see Genn at Alice's apartment, Spir vanished from his original spot and, in almost an instant, appeared next to Genn.

Quickly said, "found anyone?" Spir looked around the place, not waiting for Genn.

"Not as of yet," replied Genn with a worried expression. He knew that he wasn't the best at this sort of work.

In the past, when he was alive, he gave the job of scouting and such to someone else specifically because he sucked at it.

Spir sighed and said something that made Genn happy, "Well, everyone that had been following Mors has left, and we will be returning soon."

"Really?" replied Genn with a smile.

"Yes, and right now, I can't find anyone watching the house, so it's safe for now," confirmed Spir before disappearing once again, leaving Genn to sit there and wait.

Spir had been the only one in the group to be able to travel so fast. It was super useful, and with some side testing, the only other close one was Mr. high and mighty.

Genn decided to take the chance and think about what the announcement meant. It was definitely a strange one.

Spir had told him a quick summary of it, and it bothered him greatly.

For one, Jarreld and the group did tell the truth. There were definitely hill trolls there.

Secondly, Hill trolls are usually messy and destructive, leaving a lot of evidence behind them.

Third, he thought about the emergency flare. How could the association disregard the flare?

The group that has the ability to shoot a flare like that is one with a lot of power. They only shoot the flare if they are all about to die.

The battle scene with that party and the hill trolls had to be extremely destructive. Hill trolls like to pick up tree limbs and use them as bats.

A fight with the scouting group had to have caused damage.

So how could the other adventures not find evidence? Did the scouting party come back and tell everyone that it was a lie.

Besides the consideration of someone fixing the damage and such, there was a much bigger problem.

From his speculation and worries, he had a feeling that this place would face a huge monster horde.

Thinking this to himself and considering plans to help others, time flew quickly.

In the middle of one thought, he felt something.

Quickly he realized that Mors and the others were back, including the invisible Ms chaos and Mr high and mighty.

Deciding to follow them in, All of them entered Alice's apartment.

...

Sitting down at the table, Mors, Alice, Spir, Genn, and Afiero started looking at each other with concern.

Afiero and Alice had guessed there was some major bad news from the other's expressions and thought the worse.

Opening the discussion, Mors, still bottling up everything, said, "Well, I think we need a change of plans."

Nodding, Spir agreed as he quickly filled in the other two with what had happened.

Hearing about the announcement caused everyone to think. Mors narrated what the other adventures were talking about in full.

Genn quickly said, "Well then, you will have to hide. Somebody knows who you are and that you are connected to the troll report. You will need to hide."

"Ok, now tell me, how will this affect the heist?" questioned Mors, as he knew the disguise was needed.

He still wanted to learn war enchantments as much as he could until he couldn't anymore.

With this disappearing monster horde, he was guessing something worse was to come, and he wouldn't be able to enjoy lessons for a while.

Spir then began to say, "It won't affect much in the stance of the actual heist. But actually getting around will be a bit more difficult."

"How could it not affect the heist. There is a monster horde out there. Just waiting. This place isn't safe. Especially if the horde was able to hide and remove damage," yelled Genn as angry flares burned in his eyes.

Starting back at Genn, Spir replied with an annoyed tone, "I said the actual heist. Not the aftermath dummy. It definitely isn't safe."

Them talking about this confused Mors. But then it clicked. Something had hidden the horde. Why would they do that?

Two reasons, either that horde was never meant to be seen, or they were trying to destroy the town and move the fog.

In this world, there is a wall of fog spanning the whole globe. This wall separates the main human population and the main monster population.

Some monsters and humans could pass through the fog, but they had to be strong. Otherwise, the wall just knocks you back into your section.

Now, the wall of fog could move. The town of Deapuna didn't exist for nothing, as a human population needs to be close to the wall of fog, or the monsters have room to move the wall around.

If the town disappeared and all of its humans died, a lot of bad things would happen.

It would push the wall back hundreds of kilometers back to cekl and melava, cutting off a few roads.

A large section of the map that had farms and such would be lost.

Feeling worried, Mors decided to ask them, "Ok, this seems bigger than I thought. Tell me everything and no lying."

All the ghosts looked at each other before they moved away, leaving Alice and Mors alone.

Seeing that they might be talking about it and learning from each other, Mors decided to ask, "How are you feeling?"

"As good as a dying person can feel," replied Alice, continuing the small talk.

Mors decided to ask something important, "Would you be able to travel if necessary?"

Hopefully I will go daily for a week since I am bad.

Enjoy your day...

Also sorry for being late.
