When Wei Ying gets his courtesy name 'Wei Wuxian' again, which means 'No envy' after a few days from him forming his golden core, he did scoff in his mind. In their previous life, no matter how people call his name, they seem like never understand the meaning of it. But his husband reminds him he is the best person to have such a name. And it made his heart flutter.

It was a bit harder to adjust to his childhood self. But with time and his husband's presence he adjusts to it. In the past timeline, his life at the lotus pier was something both happy and sad. Then his second life, he had spent decades trying to mend his and Jiang Cheng's relationship. They mend their bond. But it wasn't the same as before. It wasn't what they shared as brothers. There was a lot of tension between them. Jiang Cheng didn't like when he kept more things from him. But when Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng married each other after year from his return from seclusion, things turn better. Wei Wuxian was happy for his Shidi and his brother-in-law. He saw how they find happiness in each other like he and Lan Zhan. But he never spends his time on lotus pier more than a few days. Jiang Cheng never forces him to do it either.

Living with those memories and trying not to get confused little things are easier to say than done. And meeting the people he lost his last life with and acting around them normally was the hardest part. Jiang Fengmian, Madam Yu, Jiang Yanli, and everyone who lost their lives in the last timeline makes him harder to look at them without guilt. But Lan Zhan is always there, reminding him that their death wasn't his fault. That he shouldn't let his past surpass his present. That they are going to save everyone from that fate. Wei Wuxian is glad they have a soul bond. Even though his mind is always filled with thoughts and noise, Lan Zhan never sees him as a burden. Though Lan Zhan can close off their bond or tune out his nonsense, he never did. His husband is always there, listening to him, his calm presence makes Wei Wuxian grounded.

After a few weeks of getting himself together and getting used to his tiny body again, Wei Wuxian spent his time like the child he should be. Playing with Jiang Cheng and other disciples. Doing cultivation stuff to improve his core. Helping Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli to work on their cores. Doing a few pranks here and there. And he always includes Lan Zhan in his activities, sending mind visions and sharing everything they do through their bond. Knowing his husband's younger self didn't get to enjoy his childhood like him. Wei Wuxian is glad he and Lan Zhan have decades of experience multi-tasking like this, talking through the bond while doing other things.

As time passes and his golden core gets improves, he felt the powers he worked hard to achieve in the last timeline merge with his current one. While his strong golden core gave him better chance to cultivate Yang energy, he used his knowledge of Yin energy cultivation and start to cultivate a Silver core along with his golden one.

He and His husband came up with some theories in the last timeline. With Mo Xuan Yu's weak golden core, he had to work harder to improve it to some level. Their dual cultivation took the biggest part of the work. And with his theories, he manages to form a Silver core. He couldn't make it stronger like his golden core once he had. But using both Golden and Silver core make things easier for him. He didn't have to take resentful energy into his body like before. He used pure Yin energy, purified by an invisible array tattooed on his skin. It's a bit more chaotic than Yang /Spiritual energy, but easier to handle and less dangerous than Resentful energy.

So he formed a silver core again, this time stronger and studier than the last timeline.

Doing Yin and Yang energy Cultivation has a few different pros. He can use his sword and can use music to handle resentful creatures, like fierce corpses, spirits, and demons at the same time. Or he can use spirits to protections. If he can channels his Yin energy through a Yin sword, Wei Wuxian is sure he can use it to fight like spiritual swords. But swords won't cover big range and he has Suibian. Also the best part is he can dream walk and manipulates their dream to show what he wants to show them. It was something he found after studying the incense burner they found at the cloud recesses. The stronger his silver and golden cores, the better control of the dreams.

That ability was something he never used on other than his husband. Only because Lan Zhan didn't like him visiting others in their dreams. It was hilariously cute. Lan Zhan's jealousy was something he always finds hilarious and hot at the same time.

After much debate with himself and his husband, he decided to use dream walking on Madam Yu and Jiang Fengmian. Because Wei Ying knew, some things can't resolve even by talking or fighting. Things like that are the rumors of him being Jiang Fengmian's bastard son. Another is how both Madam Yu and Jiang Shushu look at their children. His presence at the lotus pier isn't the main reason for that problem. But their lack of communication. But Madam Yu believes he was the reason to everything. And because of that, he was punished many times in his first life. In this timeline, Wei Ying hasn't been punished by Zidian yet. And he wants to keep it that way. He had once believed that he deserve those whippings for troubles he made. But not anymore.

After six months he arrived at the lotus pier and after two months from their time travel, he used his skills on Madame Yu. He shows her how her actions made Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli unhappy. How her jealousy toward his dead mother, blinds her from seeing her husband's attempts to show his love in his boring way. How her pride and anger make her family apart. How their lack of communication is the reason of most of their problems.

For a few weeks, he shows her the same things again and again, until she can see those even with her eyes open. Carved it on her memories. Then during the daytime, he studies her actions. First, they couldn't find anything and he thought their plan failed. But after a week she was a bit different. Madame Yu begin to praise Jiang Cheng's and Jiang Yanli's hard work. She tried to do less shouting at the dinners. Sometimes he saw her staring at Jiang Shushu from afar.

So he continues his work, Showed her those memories, and when she changed a bit how it effects on her children. How Jiang chengs face light to hear her praises. How Jiang Yanli flushes as she praises her cooking and her work. From then Madame Yu start to change herself. She looked at him with a longing that he couldn't pinpoint why. When Wei Ying did something good, she pats his head without a word. It was a great victory for him.

With the positive results from Madam Yu, he shows Jiang Fengmian his wrongs, his wrong choices, and how people mistook his silence. How his toughness toward Jiang Cheng makes him yearn for his father's love but didn't receive enough. How Jiang Yanli tries to cover both his and Madam Yu's mistakes by trying to be the mother figure for her brothers. How their action makes the family apart.

Jiang Zongzhu didn't respond to the dreams like his wife. He was like a ghost for a few days. Dark circle under his eyes, and always absent mind or staring at one of his family members. Wei Wuxian was worried for him. But a few days after everything turned to normal again. He became normal. But few things change. He starts to spend his time with Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli. In the morning Jiang Shushu takes Jiang Cheng to meditation and helps with his cultivation. In the evening he finds a few moments to talk and Yanli while preparing dinner or teaching her a few dishes of his own. And the night he spends his time before bed talking with his wife at her pavilion, with teas and snacks.

Wei Ying was glad he managed to repair the bond between the Jiang family members. People start to see and feel the difference. How Madam Yu is less angry now. How often now Jiang Zongzhu does visits his wife. The difference between the leaders made the disciples' moods better and it improves their cultivation.

One day Wei Ying gets surprised when Madame Yu announced to them that she decided to adopt him as their son. Because Wei Changze was the sworn brother of Jiang Fengmian and will be happy to see their son loved and cared for. To respect his parents he doesn't have to change his name or courtesy name. And he won't be first heir to the Jiang sect, but his name will added to Jiang family registry as the first young master of Jiang clan. The first younger brother of Jiang Yanli and the elder brother of Jiang Cheng. He will be the head disciple when he received his spiritual sword. Wei Ying never thought of something like to happen. But he finally got to call Jiang Yanli 'A-Jié' and Jiang Cheng 'A-Cheng' or 'DÌdi'. He refuses to call Madame Yu and Jiang Shushu 'A-Niang' and 'A-Die'. She respect his choice and told him to call her 'Ayi'

'Wei Ying deserves this. You can finally be a real brother to Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli.' Lan Zhan said comforting him when he cried at night.

After he got adopted by the Jiang family the rumors start to increase. No matter whether they heard about his father's sworn brotherhood with Jiang Zhuzhou. So he comes up with a talisman that can confirm the blood relationship. They found a chance to test them at one of the spring events, where all Jiang sect Elders and sect members along with Yungmeng people participate.

"This talisman can confirm two people's blood relationship. If the two parties share direct blood relation, the talisman paper will turn Blue. If they don't have any blood relation to each other it will turn White. If they shared distant blood relations, the paper will turn green. To activate this talisman, both parties have to put a few blood drops in both corners. This talisman didn't require any spiritual energy to be active. Now I would like to test this. Anyone like to confirm whether this is working correctly?" Madam Yu said looking at the audience. She didn't reveal this talisman was Wei Ying's invention. Knowing people will try to suspect its validity and his skills as a child.

"Madam Yu, I would like to try." A senior disciple came forward with another. "This is my younger brother." He introduced the other one to the room.

"Very well. Then put a few drops of blood on each side." Madam Yu replied, handing a talisman paper to him. Both brothers prick their thumbs and let a few drops of blood on the paper one after another. As soon as both their blood seep into the paper, lights up in Blue, before turning into a fine dust.

"Well, this confirms you two are direct blood-related. Now A- Cheng come here son" Madame Yu called the Jiang heir and the boy run to his mother, happy to participate. She pricks his finger with a needle and put a few drops of blood on the new talisman. Then she put her blood in the other corner. The paper lit up in Blue again.

"I am A-Niang's son!" Jiang Cheng shouts excitedly. Madame Yu chuckles and flick his forehead softly, a smile forming at the corner of her lips.

"Yes, you are," she nods.

They test it with a few people. Jiang Cheng and Jiang Kai got green since they are distant cousins. Jiang Cheng and Jiang Zongzhu get Blue, as they are family. Madame Yu and Jiang Zongzhu get White since they don't share a blood relation. Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng got blue.

"Now I would like to try this with A-Xian. Since most people think he is my basted son" Jiang Fengmian said with an amused grin.

Wei Ying prick his finger with the needle Madame Yu gave and put blood drops on the paper. Jiang Zongzhu follows. The paper lights up in white before turning to dust. Jiang Zongzhu looks at Wei Ying,

"A- Xian, I am sorry, I am not your father or related to you by blood. But don't worry. As you are the son of my sworn brother and my best friend I see you as one of my own." He said the last part looking at the crowd, eyes threatening.

"I know that Jiang Shushu. I remember my parents." Wei Ying replied with a grin.

"A- Xian, let me try too. What if I am your mother?" Madam Yu said with a smirk making him shudder internally. They both follow the procedure. As soon as Madam Yu's blood got into the paper, it lit up in bright green color, making everyone in the audience gasp.

"Interesting. So I am not your mother. But I am related to you" Madame Yu said with surprise. Wei Ying was too surprised to reply to it. The crowd already started murmuring to each other.

"A-Cheng, A-li. Try again with A-Xian."

Both brothers and sisters follow up on the procedure with Wei Ying again. And both their talisman papers light up in green, but not brightly as with Madam Yu.

"Xian-Ge you are my brother!" Jiang Cheng declared proudly and tackle him into a bear hug. Wei Ying hugs him back with tearful eyes.

'L-Lan Zhan, what should I do? How can I relate to Madam Yu? Why I didn't find this is my first life?'

'Wei Ying, you didn't know. And I believe, Madame Yu will help you to find the truth. What I understand from her character, she is keen to protect her Kind. Now you are her blood-related. You will be under her wings.'

'B-But Lan Zhan, that means I will be related to Meishan Yu!'

'Wei Ying, this is far better than being her one training doll.' Lan Zhan said making him winch.

Being related to Madam Yu was better than relating to Jiang Shushu. Madam Yu start to get interested in what he does. He got aid for his arrays, and inventions. She proudly shows others his works. When he helps Jiang Yanli with her golden core and she starts to show signs of improvement, he was praised for his miracle. He was gifted with a workshop at the far corner of lotus pier with everything he needs to do his research in it. Because not even healers of Lotus Pier manage to find what was wrong with Jiang Yanli's golden core. Wei Ying didn't tell them Lan Zhan was the one who found the cause and cures for her situation. And his husband was happy because of his help Wei Ying got his own space to do his research.

Wei Ying helped his brother with forming his golden core and sword practice. Madame Yu make them practice with both sword and secondary weapon. Jiang Cheng chooses a whip without anyone forcing him to. Jiang Yanli chooses a dragger. But she hopes to have a more feminine and discreet weapon. Wei Ying told them he would like to learn Music cultivation as his second weapon. Thus he chooses Dizi as his musical instrument.

Madame Jin had gifted him a Dizi on his ninth birthday. A white jade one lined with silver and gold. It was so beautiful and was made by a spiritual tool master from Meishan. Wei Ying named it 'Chenqing'. Even though he knew it isn't the same as his old one he make his own. And this time he isn't using resentful energy like before. The Dizi glows in bright gold when he plays it with spiritual energy. And when he uses Yin energy it glows in bright silver. Lan Zhan promises him to gift a blue and red tassel to attach it. The Jade Dizi is a first class spiritual, just like his ghost flute in last timeline.

When He and Jiang Cheng reach nine, and his brother formed his golden core and received his Courtesy name, they received their Spiritual swords, 'Suibian' and 'Sandu'. While his brother and Sisters' swords 'Sandu' and 'Yingtai' have Purple color sheaths with silver lines, and Light purple and Magenta sword glares, identical to Jiang's purples, 'Suibian' was the same as before. Thin white bad with a dark wooden color hilt. The hilt and the sheath were made with layers of silver tampered into the rosewood. It has the same bright red sword glare. Suibian has better agile and speed movements and it is the fastest sword.

As things improve to better, he kept his dream walking, he start to show what the future was like. How the Wens were able to destroy their sect and how Jiang Cheng had to rebuild it from the starch without his parents and how he was forced to hold responsibility as the sect leader at a young age. Showing those scenes made him remember his past, the painful memories. But he was able to hold himself from breaking down, because of his husband's presence in his mind.

When he reached ten, he was already famous as a master of six art, a Music prodigy. An array and talisman master. Great swordsmen. A genius inventor. He didn't have to hold his talents for his brother. His brother was never compared to him, because everyone understand long ago, he is far more talented.

At the young age of ten, he has a better income from his talismans and inventions. Madam Yu made sure the income is thoroughly managed. He got his allowance as the first young master of the Jiang clan and the head disciple. Even after using it for his work and any other expenses, he didn't have to touch his income from the talisman and inventions. Wei Ying got famous among civilians for his talisman in everyday works. Cultivators praise him for his helpful inventions for night hunts. His compass of evil and spirits luring flags were the most famous.

Wei Ying was working on improving the barrier of cloud recesses when Madam Yu came to him, asking for a special project.

"A- Xian, are you busy?" Madam Yu enters his workshop, with Yinzhu following behind.

"Yu- Ayi, No, No. It wasn't something urgent." Wei Wuxian says as starts to set aside his papers. But the elder was already standing in front of his desk, and she already had seen the various diagrams of barrier spread around him. She sits the opposite side of him and surveyed the drawings.

"Are you designing a defensive barrier?" she asks him, surprise written on her features.

"Ah- yeah." Wei Wuxian scratches his head with a sheepish smile while panicking inside.

'Lan Zhan!'

'Wei Ying'

'Lan Zhan, what should I do? Yu-Ayi is here and she saw the barrier. Now she is asking about it. Help!'

'Wei Ying, don't panic. You don't have to say the truth or lie. Just say you saw a strange dream and wanted to make sure it won't happen. So you are designing better barrier. After all, you know what she saw in the dreams'

'Omg! Lan Zhan, you are the best!'

"I saw something like that. I don't know if that was a prophetic dream or not. There was a war. And they attack our sect and killed everyone. Only I, A-Jié, and A-Cheng were alive. They burned our buildings and stole our treasury. And make lotus pier a 'supervisory office'. It was so horrible. I still can feel those horrible scenes. So I thought I should start working on better barriers. If that dream is some warning to us, we better be prepared." Wei Ying said clenching his fist and throwing his fist on the desk with a loud 'thud'. The sound made Madam Yu startling and looks at him like white as a ghost.

"Ayi, Are you okay?" Wei Ying asks quickly, seeing her state.

"A- Xian, did you see those dreams?" she asks after clearing her throat.

"Yeah, I saw several times now. I am now scared to sleep," he replied.

"A-Xian, I came here today to ask you to repair our wards. I too dreamed about those events. And I am afraid, they might prophetic dreams." Madame Yu said.

"Oh," Wei Ying stares at the elder woman with wide eyes. Surprised to hear her request about the ward.

'Lan Zhan looks like I don't have to convince them to put new barriers. Yu-Ayi wants me to repair our barrier!'

'Wei Ying. That's good.'

'Yes Lan Zhan, I think I will get a better chance to protect Lotus Pier this time!'

With that, Wei Ying starts to describe the full functions of the barrier he designs. Even though he designed it originally for Cloud Recesses, which is situated at top of the mountain and surrounded by woods and waterfalls. He only has to adjust it to use at a place like a lotus pier, where the sect is mostly built on the waters and another half is surrounded by forest. With that in his mind, he describes how he plans to install the barrier, how he plans to use their surround, and how the barrier will depend on the emotions of people living inside. How it will cover the whole lotus pier in the shape of a lotus bud. Layers after layers of defensive and offensive arrays. How they should installs arrays. He draws more diagrams while talking. And adjust some already finished ones.

When he finished, with a satisfied grin, Madame Yu was looking at him with a proud smile. Wei Ying flushes to see the rare site of Madame Yu smiling at him.

"A- Xian, I think you already have designed a far more complex and strong barrier for the lotus pier." She said smiling, gesturing around the papers scatters around them. Wei Ying opens his mouth to argue that he has still some work to do. But when she gave him a stern look, he whines.

"Ayi~"

"A-Xian, I will bring you more detailed maps. And then we can discuss which place we should use to install arrays. Then we can visit the places and check if it's possible. After that, we can meet the smith and work on the entree tokens and bells. Okay? Now let's go. It's almost dinner time." Madam Yu said patting his head. He whines again for a few seconds, muttering how he can just finish the design and eat later. But another look from Madam Yu and Wei Ying already on his feet, following her behind but still muttering to himself about the array he going to include in the barriers.

It was a few weeks after Wei Wuxian finished installing the barrier around the lotus pier, and the News of Sect Leader Nie's death reach them.

'Lan Zhan, Did you hear about the Sect Leader Nie's death?'

'Mn, we got a messenger today morning.'

'Why I didn't think about this? We lose the chance to save him!'

He designed the armor with extra protection from curses and low-level Spiritual/Resentful attacks. He makes it as a small gemstone, which can attach to a clarity bell or Jade Token of Lans. He chooses a specific color stone for each sect. Zijing for Jiangs, Zuanshi for Lans. Lubaoshi for Nie. He didn't find what to use for Nie Clan and decided to wait till meeting with Nie Huaisang. He didn't have any plans to design one for Jins, but he thought about his Jin-Ayi, Peacock, and Mianmian. So he asks about it from Jin-Ayi and she gave him Huangyu stones. He turns them into three pendants, along with a touch of gold. He made an extra set using Shiliushi stones for Dafan Wens. Madame Yu didn't question him when he ask for those stones in bulk. She looks at his design and nods. Within three days she had gathered every stone he requests. When he asks about it, she simply smirks at him, before saying.

"Don't worry A-Xian. After you finished it I am going to sell it at a higher price. You will get the commission for it while I get the money I invest."

When he got near his twelfth birthday, the lotus pier was well protected with strong barriers, and complete sets of armor for Jiangs, Lans, Dafan Wen, and three Jins. Almost finished set of armors for Nie. Improved array to seal waterborne abyss. New talisman for purifying water. Talismans for improving the soil. New defensive arrays. Special Qiankun pouch for storing and sealinging Yin iron. He also gets replicas of their swords, which they can use to fly around and fights. Wei Wuxian names his second sword 'Renhe' to others' humor. While his brother names his sword 'Tingfeng'.

On top of all, he has a strong Golden and silver core, cool and warm energy spinning peacefully in his lower dan tian. He has skills and Knowledge of two centuries, the experience of the war, and knowledge of most of the secrets of Qishan Wen. He can use Yin and Yang cultivation without breaking into a sweat. He has his Dizi, which is a first-class spiritual tool. It doesn't allow anyone other than its master to play. And this time he is far more powerful and doesn't have to forge the stygian yin amulet.
