CHAPTER 2: ANALIA

"When do you think she will wake up?"

"I don't know. How is she so fragile though? She should have woken up two days ago. The poison wasn't even that strong!"

Poison? I should have woken up two days ago? Wait, what?

I open my eyes and see two ladies staring at me. The room I am in is dark and cold.

"She has opened her eyes. We should tell the prince," one of the girls, probably my age, says. She is wearing a dark blue dress.

She has beautiful brown skin, braided hair, and such violet eyes you want to keep staring at them. She looks so rare and pretty.

The girl standing next to her is wearing a maroon gown with a sword close to her.

Woah, she is probably someone you don't mess with. Her hair is also maroon, like the colour of her dress, and is flowing down her shoulders. She's got hazel green eyes and a pouty mouth. She looks like she is in her twenties. She's beautiful though.

Am I in some medieval time? Or in a dream like that because I was watching Back to the future?

The girl with the maroon dress starts speaking, "Hush. Don't tell the prince just as yet. He will want to meet her straight away and she doesn't need pressure right now. "

Wait, hold on. Did I just hear prince? I sit up on the bed I am on and study my surrounding. Ouch, I've got a bad headache. Is this what a hangover feels like?

The room is huge. There is a grand piano in the corner, some couches on my left-hand side (who keeps couches in a room?), a mirror covering the whole wall in front of me, and a dressing -table beside the mirror. There are so many accessories on it. Mari would be screaming out of happiness.

The room has a light blue colour, but it feels like dark blue because there is barely any light in the room. This room is bigger than any room I've ever seen. My living room and my room combined won't be enough to state how big this one bedroom is.

The bed I am in is in the middle of the room, against a wall, and a huge window is on my right. It's snowing outside. I'm awed by how beautiful the snow looks, falling slowly from the sky and landing like a soft feather on the ground. I've never seen snow before because it never snows in my town Demara. That means...

"Where am I? This isn't my town! Why do I have such a bad headache? Who are you guys? Have I done something or did I die and I am now in heaven?" I scream-ask. Something is definitely not right.

"There, there princess. You are safe now. And you think this is heaven? Did you also hurt your head or something? And I am Camara, this is Samantha. I am the prince's right hand. Something you should have remembered," the girl with the maroon dress, Camara, she said is her name, says.

On the last part, she sounded a bit... Disappointed? I don't even know this person!

"You need to rest your highness. The prince will meet you as soon as you're fine. I will be your handmaid for your stay here," Samantha says.

Did she say, your highness? YOUR HIGHNESS?

"I am sorry. You must be mistaken. I have no idea where I am. Please, I am no 'your highness' and I am meeting no prince. Wait, is this drama class? I didn't apply to drama class! And if this is a prank, I swear I will kill the person who thought of it. I will punish you as the class president!" I tell them.

I've been pranked many times, and let me tell you this, it's not a good feeling. Waking up in the school toilet when you fell asleep on the field? Walking out of your house on a Saturday and seeing your classmates in their school uniform and panicking?

Not cool.

They both look at me strangely.

Camara starts speaking first after an awkward silence. "Uh... Your highness? Looks like the mortal world or some souls have caused you problems. We'll leave you. Please rest for now."

They both go out, whisper-talking with each other and giving me concerned looks. I can't really make out anything they are saying, but when they open the door, I see a guy, probably my age, standing outside. I've seen him before. But before I can get a good look at him, the door closes and I am left alone in the room.

Great.

I guess this is just a nightmare or something. The last thing I remember was watching a sci-fi movie. Now, I have memory loss too.

Double great.

I get off the bed and walk around the room. Everything is just so, what should I say, rich and... Grand.

I open the door to another room in here. Ha, a room in a room.

Woah, this room is actually a closet. I walk inside and see every pair of sandals and dresses I could ever dream of. But there are no pants. This place is really old-fashioned. A bit disappointed. But hey, I could play dress-up in here forever.

I come out of the closet and stand in front of the huge mirror. I see a 16-year old, tall girl with black hair, dark brown eyes, pink, but full lips, and pale skin staring back at me.

I look... Fine. And tired. I am wearing a white silk dress that reaches up to my knees. It's snowing outside, but it's still warm in here.

Whatever this place is, I need to get out of here. I may be in danger. I need to ask whoever this prince is, to send me back.

Just where the hell am I stuck?
