Day Of Awakening

Finally it is the day of Awakening again for the Gordon clan, once every year the children that has clock 15 years old and above are allowed to use the orb of awakening to awaken their magic powers.

Only after the awakening the mana joints in the body with the help of the orb of Awakening could anyone dream of becoming a mage, lucky for me I just became 15 years old few days ago and was before the Gordon family Awakening day and not after if not I'll have to wait another year before I would be able to awaken the mana joint in my body.

Very soon noise was suddenly heard from the front of the crowd, the Commotion was so much that even Alec who was hiding at one corner could not help but notice it, he looked over and saw his grandfather the Gordon family patriarch and his brother the grand elder of the Gordon family coming down from the High seat they sat, the look of excitement and surprise could be seen on their face as they made their way over to the spot where the Orb of Awakening was standing.

" did you see that just now the light of Awakening just shone so brightly with the yellow colour" one person from the younger generation said

" yes I saw it I'm sure someone has woken the Earth elements "

" it is daughter of the first elder who awoken the power of earth elements, and its an high affinity for it I'm sure after this you have another teir 1 mage in our family soon."

I heard most of the younger generation gossiping about who was it that has cause such a big reaction that made even my father and his brother come down from the High seat they sat, but when I heard it was the first elder daughter all my Laziness went away as I grunted in displeasure.

The name of the girl in question was Agnes she was the only daughter of the first Elder who was brought up with so much love, because the first elder never had a son he put all his attention and Resources into bringing the upbringing of his only daughter.

she has always been a pain in the neck to alec, always comparing herself to him at every opportunity or chance she Got, she was among the set of people from the Gordon's family younger generation who believed he should not be there leader, she do go against him because she believes she was much more stronger than him based on the fact that he was always protected by the patriarch and have never been since in the younger generation training before, unlike others who believed he should not be the leader because he was rejected by the blaze family the saw him as a blaze family bastard some sort of mixed breed who has inherited blaze family red hair and Gordon family yellow iris, most of them believed if he wasn't there even if I was just accepted as a slave at the blaze family, then any one of them would have had the chance of been the next Family head of the Gordon family.

the moment Agnes turned around, her eyes just happened to glance at Alec, she then sent him a smug smile as if to tell him "I'm better than you now "

Alec knew the family would give full priority into raising anyone with a high affinity of any element even though the family is much specialise in raising those with earth elements they still try there very best to raise anybody born with an high affinity with the best Resources.

The Gordon family have always been blessed by with Earth element so it was no surprise when the high affinity Agnes awaken was the Earth elements after all only few unique cases have there been people of the Gordon family Awakening other elements and most time it because they were dual element mage, that was cases where the awaken a secondary element except earth element.

very soon the commotion was resolved when the Patriarch and the grand elder took Agnes away from the awakening ground and restore order, the constant started moving one by one to test there affinity again this time with much more virgor than before but still yet no one was able to awaken an high affinity again but there was cases of dual elements happening where a boy awaken both earth and metal energy together but while the earth element had a mid level affinity the metal had a low affinity the momenthe showed up he also cause a Commotion because the metal element came from a branch of earth elements so if he ever was able to combine both elementsin future his fire power won't be any lower that a person with a high element affinity.

it was not long after the boy another person also awaken dual element The Awakening ground burst out with commotion again, this time it was a girl who awaken a dual element but it was earth and water elements the Patriarch and the grand elder had to come down again to take them away and restore order for the second time of the day, it was clear that this generation of Gordon's family had aloy of talent and it brought joy into the face of the elders and patriarch.

" it seems this time the amount of young mage that will be born from our family will be double of the older generations, like they always say the young where meant to take over form the old" the first elder said with a sigh at the high table he sat as he spoke with his fellow elders, it was clear that with this new talents the strength of the Gordon family will full stabilise as the leading tier 3 family in the town, even thou the Gordon family was called tier 3 it was because of there golem tools not but now with so much accumulation for generation the have finally breach and reach the level of a tier 3 family even with out using golems to fight after all the patriarch just advanced to tier 7 mage realm which made other family in the city pay respect to them as leaders of the city, after all most tier 3 family only have tier 6 mage as patriarch if they ever go to war the Gordon family will just wipe the ground with them, what really brought joy is that the younger generation where not weaker but even had great talent, the family seems to be in the rise.

finally it was the time of Alec to awaken, the eyes of all the kids in the courtyard turned to him the moment they saw him walking toward the orb of awakening.
