Chapter 11: Those Who Are Not Worth Picking Up

Afternoon Day 5

'Hah Hah Hah'

Even though it's a virtual world I can't help but pant heavily after having exerted myself so greatly, it feels like my stamina bar is deep in the red right now.

With the fall of Forest Kobold came a brief moment of peace, as the beast turned into a scattering glimmer of light it's drop items fell to the forest clearings floor.

Well not like I need to split the drops with an NPC who didn't even cooperate in the fight at all.

As a cooling forest breeze cascaded over my shoulder and the beads of sweat adorning my forehead, I walked over to, and bent down to touch each item to store them away in my storage to be sorted out later on.

Sadly for such a tough fight the supply of drops seemed pretty light, eh oh well hopefully each one is just worth that much more as a result instead.

After taking one final glance around and at the stunned female still laying prone on the ground only propping herself up on one arm, I turned away and set off for the entrance I first came into this clearing from.

Since that fight cleared me out of weaponry I need to get back asap to start creating new weapons that I can use should another combat opportunity present itself.

Since right now all I'd have to rely on would be my strength stat which after trial and error isn't saying much, especially when compared to that Kobold just now.

"W. Waht"

"Huh?"

Hearing a strange voice my run was halted as i turned round, having seen this the girl struggled to get to her knees before repeatedly bowing heavily, smashing her head into the ground over and over again.

"Um... what are you doing?"

"Please wait!! I need to thank you for saving my worthless life"

"Uh... no life is worthless?"

"Ahhh! Thank you for saying so Sir! <3"

"Sir? Well whatever, it's safe enough now but I'd advise you go back to the city"

"Is that where you are going?"

"No perhaps on the final day, but certainly not today i have to much i need to do first"

"Final day? I see well if that's the case then I'll come with you!"

"Eh...? And just why would you do that?"

"Well i mean cause theirs no safer place than by your side, after all you did just save me, plus i owe you now so a debt must be paid"

"Yeah no, i got paid by the monsters drops so their no debt besides who says i saved you have i ever said that was what was happening?"

"Even if it was not your intent that is what happened"

"And I'm saying that, that isn't true"

"Muuuuu for the hero who saved me the only price worthy enough to offer in repayment is my own body!"

"Don't want it"

Even i was surprised, my response came instantly, but all i could think was that this was a test by the admins, i mean hell the game beta or not was launched as a 13+ player age rating, no way would they allow 18+ content and would probably result in suspension of your account or possible expulsion from the beta program entirely.

"So.... so cold. mufufufuf"

"Yeah ok well you have fun with yourself i'm leaving before another trap appears"

"Waiiiiiiiit!"

Not hesitating this time i took off into the trees, running as fast as i could back towards my encampment within the forest.

The journey home was far from enjoyable or even peaceful, the entire time i was being followed and then later on stalked by the female presence behind me.

I say this since at first she merely followed me and well i admit i lessened my pace to allow her to keep up.

However when she got closer i could hear her giggling and babbling like a loon, about my perfect form, how she wished she could eat the very earth i stepped on as i ran, and even started collecting the leaves that fell from the branches as i whizzed past.

She is in a word a Yandere no doubt about that, good thing I only have two day to go, but man these are going to be some of the longest two days of my life if I can't manage to lose this crazy girl, perhaps i'll setup a trap where someone else can save her so her yanderism will transfer to another.

The evening was spent with me working hard at reforming new stone weapons and tools, while entering my various kilns to collect the spoils of my success. I admit there were quite a few failure in the pottery but more than enough my my own use and even possibly worth being sold in the city.

Course this also came with an enormous headache by the unwanted cheerleader who asked questions and fawned at absolutely everything I did.

My only saving grace was going into my storage allowed me a moment of peace while sorting out my pile of spoils, however it also acted like a curse since time was stopped while i was in there.

At the end of it, i wound up basically burying the crazy girl alive by dropping her into one of the cooled down kilns, and sealing the entrance and exhaust with heavy stones, before entering my own and sealing it up as well.
