20 Similarity

Appearances are a glimpse of the unseen and it is valued too much in our society.

People say, a beautiful appearance will last a few decades, but a beautiful personality will last a lifetime.

But they should also keep in mind that what lies behind appearance is another appearance.

As you all know, first appearance deceives many.

And when you judge someone on their first appearance or first words, you miss the opportunity to understand another living being.

A man in white shirt and pants with a green robe on top, is standing on a stage with a smile while smoking a cigarette. The stage was situated in an academy called The Duel Fencer Academy and the occasion was an auction.

The man who was standing on the stage with a good appearance was none other than Vrama Lascot or the principal.

After seeing the information about Vrama from his skill God's Eye, Dreamer was not feeling very good but he still managed to keep his cool as there was also the risk of getting caught by the halfling John.

Principal Vrama was way much stronger than Dreamer in every aspect be it rank or level.

But as they say, if you are going to play with fire then you are going to get burned too. However, if you really don't have any other choice but to play with it then make sure not to get burned to death.

Right now, the Argonian host who was wearing a black coat was nervously taking out some papers and after looking at them for a second he would just throw them away. He was doing this for a few good minutes now.

'What is this host doing? Or more like, what is he trying to do?' Dreamer wondered in an annoyed tone.

'My lord, he must be trying to find the paper in which the principal's speech was written.' Liberi replied.

'Then why is he taking so much time?' Dreamer retorted again.

'My lord, he must have written many speeches for himself and now he can't find the speech he wrote for the principal and he is nervous too and being nervous is the reason why he is taking too long.' Liberi answered again.

'Oh, that makes sense!' Dreamer said and started looking at the stage again.

After a few minutes, the Argonian host was still not able to take out the correct paper and Principal Vrama was getting angry.

His aura was leaking unknowingly towards the host but he controlled it and just told the Argonian host to stand back.

Then Principal Vrama just took the microphone from the Argonian host and started addressing the guests who have arrived today in the auction.

"Haha, forgive me for making you all wait. That's why I always prefer to talk without any preparation." Principal Vrama said in the mic.

The audience laughed at this and principal Vrama carried on.

"So, Ladies and Gentlemen! Thankyou for attending this auction. I am very happy right now. So before showing you the items, I would like to brief you all about the items that are going to be shown today. Sounds good?" Principal Vrama suggested the crowd.

Clap

Several people clapped to show their acceptance to the principal Vrama's suggestion.

"Thank you for your understanding. So, I am going to start."

"The first item that we will show you today is a pendant. Now, don't mistake it for any ordinary pendant. It's one of a kind…" Principal Vrama stopped and after a few seconds he spoke again.

"The name of the pendant is, The Obsidian Aura."

"Woah!!"

"Really!?"

"I will take it at all costs!"

The people at the auction reacted like this after the principal Vrama revealed the name of the pendant.

'Where did he get such a thing?' Liberi also asked himself in a surprised tone and Dreamer also heard this.

'Huh? What do you mean? Isn't it just a pendant, I mean yeah, it should not be an ordinary pendant but still why are they all so hyped up and you too, what is going on?' Dreamer asked Liberi in a confused manner as he didn't know about these things.

'My lord, The Obsidian Aura pendant is worth getting hyped for.' Liberi replied.

'Is that so! What does it do?' Dreamer asked curiously.

'My lord, if someone wore this pendant then their aura would increase tremendously. For example, if an Early Beginner rank individual wore this pendant then his aura will increase to that of an Early Master rank. Although the strength of that individual will still remain in Early Beginner rank but for others it will seem like that the individual is at Early Master rank. People usually use this for scaring the opponents before actually fighting them.' Liberi explained to Dreamer about the Obsidian Aura pendant and Dreamer understood it pretty well.

'It's indeed very good but not for me. As according to me, what's the point of showing the strength you don't actually have.' Dreamer commented after hearing the pendant's ability.

'Great words! My lord.' Liberi amused at Dreamer's words and then they both continued to hear the principal Vrama's speech or briefing.

"Haha, Ladies and Gentlemen, it's just the first item, there are more items yet to come. Just wait patiently, you all will get a chance to buy it when it is shown. Till then, let's move to the second item that will be auctioned today" After saying this, Principal Vrama stopped for a few seconds and spoke again.

"The second item that we will be selling today is a bottle of blue blood and I don't think that I have to tell you just how valuable this item is!" Principal Vrama announced the second item that will be shown today and after hearing this, the people went into an uproar.

"What? Blue blood!?"

"Seriously? It can't be real!"

"Please, Tell me it's a lie!"

'Liberi! What is this blue blood? And yeah I know I am being an annoyance by asking every time but I don't know such things. I will try to find information about these things in the future so for now, just tell me about this blue blood.' Dreamer asked Liberi with a wry smile. Dreamer didn't know such things because his father just taught him things that one needs to survive in this world, not about the things that can only be acquired by rich people.

'My lord, you are not an annoyance don't make me feel bad by saying that. And about this blue blood, my lord there is a race called Vampires and they have a leader who is called The Vampire Progenitor.

Vampires are strong individuals but the one who is the strongest vampire is chosen as a Vampire Progenitor.

And as the Vampire Progenitor continues to get stronger their blood starts to change from red to blue.

And when their blood completely changes to blue they undergo an evolution. And if someone drinks their fully blue coloured blood then they will receive a tremendous amount of strength.

For example, if an Early Beginner rank individual drinks this blood then he can reach to an Early Master rank in one go. I can only tell you this much as this is all I know. Forgive me my lord, for not fully answering your query.' Liberi explained about the blue blood to Dreamer in a respectful manner.

'What do you mean? You perfectly briefed me about this blue blood. Good job!' Dreamer praised Liberi and he got to know a lot of stuff from Liberi about this blue blood.

'Thank You, my lord.'

'But, now the question is should I steal it too with the sword or let it go?' Dreamer stated his concern to Liberi.

'I don't think it's a good idea, my lord!' Liberi commented.

'Huh? Why is that?' Dreamer asked.

'My lord. Forgive me for suggesting you something. But, we have come here to steal the sword and stealing the sword is itself an enormous task so we should just focus on stealing the sword and my lord you can find blue blood in the future but this sword is one of a kind. You will never be able to find a sword like that.

And if it got sold then we have to wait for us to get stronger and then only we will be able to steal it from the person who bought it as the person who will buy the sword must be a strong fellow. So, that's why I don't think we should divert our attention from the sword.' Liberi explained his reasoning about whether Dreamer should take the blue blood or not.

'You have a pretty valid point there. I guess stealing the sword is good enough for now.' Dreamer agreed to Liberi's suggestion.

'And you don't have to give such explanations as I know, you just want your sword back really bad. Isn't it right?' Dreamer remarked with a smile.

'You know me well! My lord.' Liberi replied Dreamer with a smile too.

'But, leaving these talks aside. I want you to remember the name of the second last item that will be shown today. Is that clear?' Dreamer said.

'As you wish, my lord. I will surely remember it and tell you when it will be shown' Liberi obliged.

Dreamer just nodded at this and drove his attention to the principal Vrama's speech who was still briefing about the items that will be shown today.

The principal Vrama announced items like a large storage space bracelet, a magical pendant that can increase the user's mana, a necklace that can produce a magical barrier around you and many more items.

Then the time of announcing the last item of the auction came and everyone who were present at the auction became silent and attentive.

"Now, the item that most of you came here for. The S rank sword! I know, many of you are still suspicious of me that I am lying about it being a S rank sword. So that's why I decided that I will tell you everything about that sword. Like how I got it and why am I selling it, instead of using it for myself." Principal Vrama said in a serious tone and the crowd also went silent as everyone was curious about the sword.

'I wonder what he will say!' Dreamer thought in his mind.

"So, Ladies and Gentlemen. The talk that is going around the city about the sword coming out of the volcano, is a lie!" Principal Vrama announced and just as he announced this the people at the auction started to talk in low voices.

Principal Vrama's announcement caught many people off guard and several people started talking to themselves about this matter.

And Dreamer was not an exception; he was also pretty surprised by this announcement.

'What is he trying to do exactly?' Dreamer commented in his mind after hearing the announcement and looked at Liberi to see his reaction but surprisingly Liberi was just sitting calmly with an expressionless face.

After seeing Liberi, Dreamer also decided to remain calm and see how things will play out.

But the people at the auction were going restless and when it became too much to endure a voice of an individual from the crowd came out.

"What do you mean by that?" A man screamed among the people who were present in the auction.

"Haha, honourable guests you all are very impatient people, at least hear my full story." Principal Vrama suggested the people who were present at the auction and were going restless by the announcement before. And after hearing this suggestion, the man who screamed among the people present at the auction also sat down and waited patiently.

"Thank you so much! Now, what I was trying to say is that this sword didn't come out of the volcano on its own. Let me explain.

One day I was sitting at my office and my staff went to a beast planet to collect beast cores so while they were hunting the beasts they found a volcano and near that volcano all the beasts of that planet were gathered. After seeing this they thought that there must be a reason for all the beasts to gather there so they tried to investigate it. But as the volcano was too hot for them they can't go inside and figure out the reason.

So, being unable to do anything they decided to inform me by a communication crystal which I personally gave them so that if they want to talk with me they can do it anytime.

Now coming back to the story, after they informed me I left for the planet where they encountered the volcano and after reaching there I sensed that a high amount of mana is being radiated from the inside of the volcano and that was the reason why the beasts were gathered around that volcano.

So, after knowing everything I decided to see the cause of this phenomenon. And as I am a Pro Intermediate rank individual I am quite strong. So, I just destroyed the volcano with my skill and ability. And after destroying it I found the sword which was glowing red and was fuming hot.

The sword was perfectly fine even after remaining inside a blazing volcano. And when the sword came out of the volcano the beasts went berserk and started fighting among themselves. But as my work was finished, me and my staff just took the sword and came back here. And after coming back I examined the sword carefully and found out that it was a S rank sword.

Now about the question why I am selling such a great sword instead of using it for myself. Well it's not like I don't want to use it, it's just I can't use it.

What I meant by that is, my gifted ability won't allow me to use it.

Now, don't ask me about my gifted ability as I won't share it, But I am assuring you all that other than me anyone of you can use it however you want. With this said, I explained everything about the sword and I hope it cleared all your doubts.

So, after five minutes the auction will officially take place. Till then you all can decide which items you are willing to buy and which items you are not willing to buy. Thank you!" Principal Vrama just finished his story about how he got a S rank sword and went towards the Argonian host and started talking to him with a smile on his face. But, among the people who came here to attend the auction only two people knew that this story was a lie and those two were Dreamer and Liberi.

Principal Vrama successfully convinced every other person in the auction that this sword really came out of the volcano.

So right now, everyone in the auction was just casually chatting with each other and waiting for the auction to begin.

Liberi was also sitting very calmly as if he had nothing to worry about. But,

'Hahaha, interesting! Very interesting! Hahaha!'

After Principal Vrama shared the story that he made up about the sword, Dreamer started laughing in his mind all of a sudden.

'My lord? What did you find so interesting?' Liberi asked Dreamer in a calm manner.

'You know Liberi, after seeing this principal or Vrama, I was thinking constantly that he is so different from me in every way. Be it strength, personality, appearance, intellect, attitude and traits. And eventually I reached to a conclusion that he really is different from me in every way. But just at this moment after he finished his speech, I found something!'

'What did you find, my lord?' Liberi asked while showing a bit of curiosity.

'Well, among all the differences. I just found a similarity between us!' Dreamer answered calmly.

'And what is that, my lord?' Liberi asked again.

After hearing Liberi's question, Dreamer just looked towards the principal Vrama who was still smiling and talking with the Argonian host. And while looking at the principal Vrama's back, Dreamer with a smile said,

'We are both very good liars, that's all!'
