13 Annoying Guy

Alysia immediately pulled over to the empty sideroad.

The police car followed suit and parked just a few meters behind them. The door of the police car swung open as a handsome blonde man dressed in a police uniform stepped out, looking dashing.

Approaching the driver's side, he knocked on the window a few times. Alysia promptly opened her window, revealing her trademark smile. "Good morning, Officer Andrew."

"What's with the formality, Sia? Didn't we agree to drop it ages ago and call each other by our names?" Officer Andrew grinned as he returned her smile. He didn't bother to hide his lustful gaze as he scanned over her.

Alysia tilted her head, looking confused. "Did we? I'm sorry; I think I might have forgotten about it."

"No problem, now you know. How about grabbing breakfast together? There's this great place nearby-"

"I appreciate the offer, Officer Andrew, but I'm actually in a hurry right now. My morning class starts in twenty minutes." Alysia declined politely, cutting him off.

"How about dinner, then? I can take you to the LG Club. You've heard of it, right? I happen to have access to it." Officer Andrew persisted, refusing to back down and flashing a proud smile.

The LG Club was a well-known nightspot reserved for the heirs of conglomerate elites or high-ranking officials. It set itself apart from your typical club, serving as a prime gathering place for the upper echelons. The venue boasted a variety of attractions, ranging from casual games to more illegal activities.

As a result, gaining access to the cub was a coveted privilege, with many people desperately seeking entry.

Those people desperate to gain entry mostly belonged to the category of people aiming to strike gold by fostering good relationships with the club members. They believed that if they could at least build a connection with a conglomerate heir or a high-ranking official, their lives would be guaranteed success.

Hence, he was confident Alysia wouldn't be able to refuse his offer this time. Many women lined up at the club entrance, dressed in their best clothes and wearing their prettiest makeup, all in the hope of being chosen as companions by club members.

If Alysia wasn't foolish, she should have realized that accepting his invitation would be the best choice she could make.

However, contrary to his expectations, Alysia flashes him another apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, Officer-

"Why? Planning to reject me once more?" Officer Andrew laughed self-mockingly.

In the past, her consistent rejections used to deal a blow to his pride. Typically, it was the other way around, with him turning down advances from various girls.

But over time, he grew accustomed to it. Strangely, the more she played hard to get, the more appealing and desirable she became. For a few times, he attempted to make up for the loss by making out with different women who shared similar features with Alysia – radiant pink hair, tall stature – but none managed to satisfy him.

Hence, an intense urge welled up within him to conquer her and make her his own. He firmly believed that every ounce of effort invested would be worthwhile once he succeeded.

However, this didn't imply he wouldn't grow frustrated if she continued to reject him.

"I'm sorry, but my boyfriend and I had agreed to dinner together tonight," Alysia said apologetically while glancing at Austin.

Hearing her answer, Officer Andrew felt like he was struck by thunder.

"B-boyfriend?!" he blurted out, nearly losing his mind.

As the son of the chief of police, it wasn't difficult for him to conduct some background checks on Alysia. He knew that she lived in a huge mansion in some rural area with another girl of the same age. He also knew that she wasn't particularly close to guys, indicating she had no boyfriend.

So, how did she suddenly get a boyfriend? Where did she find him? Lastly, how was he not aware of this?

After his shock, he followed her line of sight, and his eyes fell upon the man in the front passenger seat. It was an ordinary-looking guy with no discernible special features.

He even felt the guy's face was so ordinary that it was a face one could see anywhere on the street.

Officer Andrew was struck dumb.

'Don't tell me this bumpkin is her boyfriend? His face is average, his height is probably the same as mine, and as for his clothes, they don't appear to be from expensive brands. Isn't the contrast too stark?'

He felt the corner of his mouth twitch as Alysia continued introducing the guy. "Meet my boyfriend, Austin."

Meanwhile, Austin's heart skipped a beat as Alysia introduced him as her boyfriend.

How many boys had fantasized about Alysia introducing them as her boyfriend?

If he had to count, the saliva of those people could probably form a tsunami wave and drown him in it.

Now, somehow, he had fulfilled the wet dreams of those boys.

Of course, he was well aware that Alysia had said it out of annoyance and just wanted to get rid of Officer Andrew. He also noticed the sly smirk on the edge of her lips and the glint in her eyes, indicating that she enjoyed the situation and wanted to see what was about to unfold.

He then noticed her eyes winking at him as if saying, "Play along with the act, quick!"

Austin let out a smirk.

In a spontaneous move, he reached for Alysia's hand, drawing it gently towards him.

Alysia, puzzled by his unexpected gesture, allowed him to hold her hand. She assumed it was just a playful improvisation. However, to her surprise, she suddenly felt a soft, tender kiss on the back of her hand as Austin looked up at her with a mischievous grin.

!!!

Alysia was flabbergasted.

Officer Andrew stood there, stunned.

Austin, on the other hand, was thoroughly delighted.

Finally, he had his revenge for Alysia's teasing back at the mansion.

Austin had to suppress a laugh, seeing their priceless expressions. "Good morning, Officer. My name is Austin Cooper, but you can call me Mister Alysia's Boyfriend."

"Y-you!" Alysia stuttered in a low voice.

"Don't you find this guy a huge nuisance? If I just introduced myself normally, he'd keep getting funny ideas about you," Austin whispered convincingly.

Alysia finally calmed down. "Can you think of a better way?"

"This is the best method I could come up with. There's another, but I don't think you'll like it."

"What is it?"

"Kissing you," Austin's voice seemed to carry a hot breath, causing Alysia's ears to redden.

"Don't you already kiss my hand?" Alysia retorted after a moment of silence.

"That doesn't count. What I mean is your li-"

Before Austin could complete his sentence, Alysia jabbed his stomach with her elbow.

Pfft!

Austin immediately fell back into his seat, clutching his stomach in pain. He had never experienced such extreme pain throughout his entire life, not even when his sister jumped on top of his stomach trying to wake him up, and not even during his mother's hard kicks during his martial arts training.

"Can we go now, Officer? I'm running late for my class," Alysia said with a hint of impatience.

Officer Andrew finally returned to his senses and glared at Austin indignantly, as if he had just encountered his biggest enemy. He couldn't believe this lowly bumpkin dared to lay his stinky lips upon Alysia's hand like that.

It was as if he were watching the goddess he always revered suddenly defiled by an ugly goblin.

He refused to accept it!

He glared sharply at Austin, almost as if wanting to dig into his body with his eyes. Then, he met Alysia's gaze and forced a smile. "You can go, but this man can't," he purposely didn't address Austin as her boyfriend.

"Why?" Alysia subconsciously asked.

"Because I've found his face to be somewhat familiar," Officer Andrew said ponderingly.

"Familiar?" Austin, who had just regained his senses and heard Officer Andrew's words, couldn't be more furious. Seriously? Was this guy really human, or just a thick wall? How could a person be so dense? Moreover, why was he being detained here? This cop was just being unreasonable!

"Yes, have we met before?" Officer Andrew asked in an interrogative tone.

"Your face looks familiar too. Have I threatened you before?" Austin asked flippantly, not bothering to conceal his disrespect in his tone. He was already in intense pain from Alysia's jab, but this dense cop still refused to send them away. His frustration couldn't be more stifled.

Officer Andrew was shocked. Even Alysia had never spoken to him like that. How dare this bumpkin show such arrogance to him.

"I see that perhaps the reason I find your face familiar is because you always find yourself involved in a mess with the police." Officer Andrew lifted his chin high. "Hand me your ID card. I believe a series of criminal records will pop up when I run your name."

Officer Andrew then looked at Alysia with concern. "Sia, are you sure you're not being forced in any way? Maybe your family is being held hostage by him? Blink twice if you agree with my statement."

Austin looked at Officer Andrew as if he were the biggest idiot on the planet.

"What makes you think that way, Officer?" On the other hand, Alysia looked both intrigued and amused.

"He looks like a criminal to me. Moreover, as a man, shouldn't he be the one doing the driving? Why is it you, on the other hand? The whole circumstances look suspicious," Officer Andrew narrowed his eyes.

Alysia was about to explain that Austin doesn't have a driver's license when he spoke first. "You have a problem with my girlfriend driving instead of me? She's the dominant one in our relationship. That's why I'm in the passenger seat, and she's in the driver's seat."

"If you can't grasp what I just said, then piss off!"

Alysia immediately pinched Austin's thigh strongly, eliciting a couple of high-pitched screams from him, like Tom the cat.

Meanwhile, Officer Andrew appeared to be on the verge of exploding.

"Let's go, dear. We're wasting our time here," Austin urged Alysia, sweat beading on his forehead.

If the cop continued to harass them, Austin was afraid he might blurt out a few more things out of annoyance that would further enrage Alysia. The jabs and pinches had taught him enough lessons that he shouldn't mess around with Alysia.

Alysia glared at him for calling her 'dear' so naturally. However, she knew that Austin was right; they were wasting their time here.

With a slight smile, she said, "Officer, I'm going to head out first. See you later."

However, Officer Andrew remained adamant about not letting Austin go. "Stop! That guy mustn't leave."

Alysia's smile finally dropped, and she spoke in an icy tone. "Officer Andrew, I'm warning you. Don't cross my line. I've been acting respectfully ever since we met, but it doesn't mean I won't get angry if you continue to act this way. I assure you that you won't like it if I get angry."

Officer Andrew immediately felt a chill run down his spine hearing her words. However, he reasoned that letting the bumpkin go today would leave him sleepless for a long time.

He was also curious about what an angry Alysia would look like. As both ideas mixed together, he paid no heed to Alysia's warning and said in a serious tone, "I'm sorry, Sia, but I can't let that guy go. Don't worry; it's just a routine check. If nothing suspicious is discovered, you both can continue your journey."

"But we're both running late for our class," Alysia said impatiently.

"That's why you can go first. Leave this guy to me. I'll personally escort him to you when we're done with the business," Officer Andrew persisted.

There was a moment of silence before it was shattered by Alysia's chilly laughter.

"Congratulations, you've succeeded in angering me. Do you know what happens to people who anger me? They end up rotting in hell!" Alysia's voice, brimming with mysterious power, rang loudly.

Officer Andrew had been fantasizing about how adorable Alysia's face would be when she got angry. But abruptly, he felt something change in his vision.
