"Ah, is it daytime already...?" Wukong yawned, stretching his limbs as he rose from the grass-covered ground. After the events of yesterday, which ended with the defeat of the giant octopus, hunger gnawed at his stomach.

Wukong reached for his leather bag and retrieved some fruits, beginning to eat them hungrily. After devouring an entire banana, he tossed the peel carelessly onto the ground. Glancing around to ensure there were no hostile beings lurking nearby, Wukong relaxed slightly, savoring the brief respite from danger.

Wukong hoisted the backpack onto his back once more, securing it with the rope, and resumed his journey into the unknown.

(1 hour later)

"Hmmmmm... The only interesting thing that happened to me was with the giant octopus, everything seems pretty quiet now..." Wukong mused aloud, his voice breaking the tranquil silence as he observed a log surrounded by small ants.

As Wukong prepared to change direction, he suddenly froze in his tracks, a peculiar scent wafting through the air, tickling his senses. It smelled like iron... like blood. The distinct metallic tang hung heavy in the air, stirring a sense of unease within Wukong.

"It's similar to the same smell as the octopus but more putrid..." observed Wukong, wrinkling his nose at the overpowering stench. The intensity of the smell indicated that Wukong had indeed ventured far from the village. The realization prompted him to proceed cautiously, mindful of the potential dangers lurking in the surrounding forest.

As Wukong pressed on in search of the source of the putrid smell, he became increasingly aware of the unnerving silence that enveloped the area. Not a single chirp of a bird or the rustle of leaves disturbed the stillness; it was as if the very essence of sound had been swallowed by the eerie quietness.

As Wukong ventured further, he made a startling discovery: the forest had disappeared entirely, replaced by a gaping ravine that stretched out before him. Beyond the ravine, towering mountains loomed on the horizon, their majestic peaks reaching towards the sky. Above, the azure expanse of the sky stretched endlessly, dotted with birds of all sizes and shapes.

Among the smaller birds, Wukong noticed strange creatures resembling giant snakes with scales, soaring gracefully through the air alongside their avian counterparts.

In the distance, on a distant mountain, Wukong's gaze fell upon a truly remarkable sight. A massive being, as vast and elongated as a mountain itself, slithered across the landscape with the grace of a serpent constricting its prey. However, instead of preying on a smaller creature, it appeared to be wrapping itself around a colossal mountain, its enormous form dwarfing the landscape around it.

The creature's body was adorned with green scales, gleaming softly in the sunlight, while whiskers adorned its formidable snout. Despite its immense size, its arms appeared comparatively small, lending an almost surreal quality to its appearance. As Wukong observed, the creature moved with a languid grace, its movements slow and deliberate, as if in a state of slumber or deep meditation.

"Wow, how huge..." Wukong breathed in awe, his voice filled with a mixture of astonishment and wonder at the colossal sight before him. The sheer magnitude of the creature's size left him speechless, stirring emotions he couldn't quite articulate as he beheld the magnificent spectacle unfolding in the distance.

Peering down into the ravine, Wukong observed a sprawling expanse of forest, its lush greenery extending as far as the eye could see. In the distance, a winding river glimmered under the sunlight, its waters reflecting the azure sky above. Amidst the verdant landscape, distant figures moved, resembling creatures or animals traversing the terrain. Though their exact nature was indiscernible from this vantage point.

"I believe everything begins from this moment," Wukong murmured, his gaze fixed on the vast expanse of forest below. The enormity of the landscape stirred something within him, igniting a sense of anticipation and excitement. With a racing heart, he contemplated the journey that lay ahead, ready to embrace whatever challenges and adventures awaited him in this untamed wilderness.

With a determined leap, Wukong descended into the ravine, feeling the rush of wind against his face as he plummeted downwards. In that moment of freefall, he embraced the sensation of freedom, his heart soaring with exhilaration. As he delved deeper into the unknown, Wukong resolved to explore every corner of this world, to challenge himself and grow stronger with each new experience.

"oh....shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" As Wukong hurtled towards the ground, his initial exhilaration gave way to a surge of panic. His body twisted and turned in the air, his scream echoing through the ravine as the earth rushed up to meet him. In that heart-stopping moment, fear gripped him tightly, and he could do nothing but brace himself for the impact that awaited below.

With adrenaline coursing through his veins, Wukong acted swiftly, hurling his leather bag into the air with all his might. He watched with bated breath as the bag soared upwards, hoping desperately that it would catch onto a tree branch and halt his descent. As the wind whipped past his face, Wukong knew that time was of the essence, and he braced himself for whatever outcome awaited him.

With a bone-jarring impact, Wukong's body collided with the ground, the force of the landing causing the earth to shudder and crack beneath him. He felt the ground give way beneath his weight, the impact creating a deep crater where he had landed. Pain shot through his body as he lay amidst the fractured earth, his senses reeling from the shock of the impact.

"Ah... Damn... that really hurts," Wukong groaned in pain as he struggled to rise from the broken and cracked ground.

Wukong stood up and looked around, his gaze falling upon a nearby tree where he saw his bag had at least fallen with minimal damage.

Wukong retrieved the bag and slung it back over his shoulder, acknowledging that he had once again found himself in a situation brought on by his penchant for reckless actions.

"Well... It's time to explore even more... I hope there are more fights on the way," Wukong muttered determinedly as he marched onwards towards the vast expanse of the forest ahead.

(Location: Planet Earth / Human Realm.

Place: ???)

The red-haired man, clad in a blue and black tunic adorned with symbols of omega and alpha on each arm, gazed fondly at the radiant sun as he stood within the mountain ravine. "Ah... I do love the sun's warmth every day... Don't you think so, Xiaochen?" he remarked, his face expressing a sense of contentment and appreciation for the natural beauty surrounding him.

"Yes, sir... I know you love to look at the sun," said the blonde man with deep black eyes, who stood behind the red-haired guy. He too wore a tunic similar to that of the red-haired man.

The blonde guy named Xiaochen sighed in dissatisfaction; it truly tired him to watch his king gaze at the sun. At least it gave him a brief respite from his duties.

The red-haired man spoke softly and calmly, "How's the reconstruction of the ship coming along?"

Xiaochen looked at his boss and replied in a bored voice, "Well, so far it's going well. We really don't know what could have caused such harm. We reviewed the recordings, and nothing significant appeared. It's quite strange."

The red-haired guy said in a soft and calm voice, "Well, I think we should go now. So far, there is nothing interesting."

The red-haired guy in the blue and red tunic walked slowly to leave where they were.

Xiaochen looked to the left and saw thousands of human corpses of different types—children, adults, adolescents, and others. Xiaochen said, "Nothing interesting, huh..."

The scene was gruesome—each of the humans was drenched in blood. Some lay with amputated limbs, others without heads, and some finely cut in half. It was as if something absurdly sharp had sliced through them.

A boy, no more than 13 years old, lay there, barely clinging to life, his limbs missing. Xiaochen approached him cruelly and said, "Well... it's your fault for being born as an inferior being..." With a cold demeanor, Xiaochen raised his foot and slowly crushed the boy's head until it exploded into blood and brain matter.

Xiaochen glanced down at his shoe, now stained with blood and brain matter, and muttered with annoyance, "Damn, they were new..."

Xiaochen gazed at the distant village engulfed in flames, a thick plume of smoke rising into the sky. "The Jade Emperor has strange tastes... destroying and torturing humans just because he's bored...? Well, it's not my problem..." With a resigned shrug, Xiaochen turned away and started to follow his king.

(author notes)

Well friends, today's chapter is a little shorter, as you've probably noticed. If you're familiar with GOH (God of High School), you'll notice the difference between the original Xiaochen and the one in my story. I changed the gender of the character because I found it interesting. I hope you enjoy the story, as it takes me about 1-2 hours to make each chapter.
