49 A Ultimatum Of Exile

Author Note: Still feel's a bit meh of a chapter now that I reread it but whatever were not even at the story's midway point.

"Would you look at that… I think we're down to the last one." Rei was speaking to Danzo, who was standing in front of him out of breath. He was covered in bruises and cuts along with being out of breath. He was mentally exhausted after dying so many times to Rei and hearing him didn't help. "Please…"

Rei heard a change in Danzo's voice as he looked at him. "Mercy. I- I didn't-" Danzo's plead interrupted as he felt Rei's hand grip his throat. "Should have considered that before you attacked me. You only have your greed to blame for that." Not being able to move while being choked Danzo tried to speak.

"It- It was for… The good of the village." Listening to his reasoning, Rei's grip on his throat increased. "Then you can die for your village as well." Almost ticked off by such a bland response Rei wanted to wrap things up. However midway he heard someone call out to him. "Rei stop!" The voice came from behind him on the roof of a different building.

Turning his head, Rei let go of Danzo and looked up slightly. Standing there along with a group of Jonin teachers and Anbu, Tsunade starred at Rei. 'Well, would you look who showed up. Let's see if I can play this right.' Following Tsunade landed, he noticed that three more groups landed on other buildings nearby practically surrounding him.

"It really is him." Staring at Rei and then moving her gaze over at Danzo, it was obvious he was worse for wear. 'Those wounds on his body are all directed to conflict pain. There's no way they were gained from fighting, especially from all that fire.' Taking a second to discern things, it was almost as if Danzo was tortured more than anything.

"All this just for me?" In an instant, everyone felt all the murderous intent Rei had for Danzo slightly directed towards them as he smiled. "I was just in the middle of dealing with this thing." Referring to Danzo, Rei kneed Danzo in the stomach, causing him to cough up blood. "Rei stop it. The fact you're here now killing a Leaf Village Citizen and destroying buildings is grounds for-"

"For what? War?" Rei replied coldly as he held up Danzo's arm containing all the different closed Sharingans. "I would like to think that someone who experiments on their own body to use what I assume is forbidden Jutsu is grounds enough. Including the fact he sent his private army to attack my own home is just asking for it."

Hearing what Rei was saying everyone looked at Danzo. Indeed experiments looked as if they were done to his body, and if Danzo really did attack Rei first, that may change things. "Danzo… Is this true?" Danzo remained quite as he lowered his gaze, causing Tsunade to grit her teeth together. "You- Dammit!"

Tsunade let out a frustrated groan and sighed all the other teacher's beside her shook their heads as well. "Listen Rei I understand Danzo has done something that breaks the truce we had made but let us deal with it. We still need to go through the proper procedures before punishment can be dealt with." Tsunade tried to reason with Rei, but he shook his head.

"I'm afraid not. The punishment you all plan on giving him will leave him alive. But how about this." Rei reached into his clothes and pulled out two scrolls before throwing them at Tsunade. Everyone was on guard, but Tsunade grabbed them nonetheless. "Excluding the fact he's probably worked with Orochimaru, those two scrolls should be grounds of exile."

Danzo's eyes turned dim as he recognized the scrolls in Tsunade's hands, and he turned to look at Rei. "You… You stole my-" Rei hit Danzo in the chest causing him to shut up instantly as the wind was knocked from his lungs. On the other hand, Tsunade opened each scroll and skimmed through their contents.

'These… If this all true then Danzo has been doing things that would make him considered a traitor for years. He even blocked messages from reaching the Hokage.' Tsunade looked up from the scroll as she glanced at Rei. "What do you want?" Rei pulled Ryujin Jakka from its sheath and held it against Danzo's neck.

"I don't want anything. I'm simply giving you an ultimatum and a choice. You can either right now declare Danzo exiled and no longer a citizen of the Leaf avoiding a War and a bloodbath here and now. Or you can try and stop me before I run this blade across his neck." Rei's words were cold and straightforward to the point no one from Asuma's team could believe he was the same person.

"I can't believe he's threatening Lady Tsunade like that." Sakura looked surprised as Tsunade was actually considering it. A single person was causing the Hokage to choose between two options despite having him surrounded. "Granny Tsunade can't really be considering this right?" Naruto looked at Tsunade as she closed the two scrolls and handed them to an Anbu behind her.

"I…" If she agrees, that's basically putting Rei outside of the laws. If word got out, it would be a hit to the Leaf's integrity and her reputation as a Kage. "Can we please discuss this outside of-" Rei cut her off and moved his blade slightly across Danzo's neck causing it to bleed. "You have ten seconds either way he dies."

'This is bad.' Asuma and Kurenai both saw Rei was serious as they glanced over to Kakashi who glanced at them while nodding. Meanwhile, behind Sakura, Naruto nudged Sasuke. "We gotta stop him before he does something." Sasuke seemed unmoved at first, but looking at Rei something caused him to agree. "On five."

Following as Rei began to count down, everyone was both silent and tense. "Rei…" Ino seemed to be the most worried as she spotted both the Teacher's, Naruto and even Sasuke preparing to move on him. "He's going to get himself killed." Just a moment after Shikamaru said that multiple figures moved.

Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, Naruto and Sasuke all of them surprisingly moved at the same time. Being in opposite positions of one another and directly parallel to where Rei was standing, he was basically being surrounded on all sides. "Wait!" Seeing they planned on stopping Rei and getting Danzo, Tsunade called out to them, but it was drowned out at the moment.

"It looks like you guys don't understand how an ultimatum works." Rei quickly scanned his surroundings spotting Asuma and Kakashi going for Danzo while the others focused on him. Wanting to deal with Asuma and Kakashi first Rei used Flash Step meeting them face to face the moment they touched down on the roof he had Danzo on.

'He's fast!' Kakashi took note of his speed as Rei spotted him beginning to reach for a Kunai in his back pouch. "Kikori." Rei began to increase his speed as he quickly turned around and swept Kakashi's feet with his leg. Having just touched down, Kakashi's balance was disrupted as he began to fall forward.

Trying to balance himself by using his arm as leverage Kakashi didn't know Rei had already appeared right on top of him as he was gaining balance. Reiryoku twisted around one of Rei's arms like a cyclone as he punched Kakashi's side who was close to the ground. "Huh?" Everyone watched as the Reiryoku was fired in waves directly onto Kakashi's body.

The wave's travelled through his body and into the ground causing him to slam into the roof. 'Crap! This is bad!' The roof cracked on impact with Kakashi's body and felt so sudden that he almost lost consciousness. As quickly as he could, he activated his substitution Jutsu as his body disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving a wooden log in the body shaped indent on the roof.

'He got away even in that position?' Rei showed a look of surprise for a moment but then focused again. Switching his target to Asuma, Rei dashed forward dodging a Kunai thrown at him by Sasuke. Asuma pulled his Chakra knives, infusing them with his Chakra extending both their reach and power.

In return, Rei swung at Asuma with Ryujin Jakka. Spark flew as Asuma blocked Rei's slash with both of his Kunai in a cross formation. As he felt the weight behind the strike push forward, Asuma was pushed back slightly while sliding. "You're making this worse, and you know that, right?" Talking to Rei as they clashed Rei responded.

"Just proving a point. Hado #11: Tsuzuri Raiden." Before Asuma knew it, yellow electricity flowed through Ryujin Jakka's blade and in turn into Asuma's Chakra blades. "Da-" Before he could retreat Asuma was charged full of electricity as his body began to spasm. Using this as a chance Rei spun around pivoting on his leg and kicked Asuma directly in his stomach.

The blow sent him flying off the roof and threw the window a different building. "Asuma!" Kakashi had appeared back near Tsunade clutching his side while Kurenai, Naruto and Sasuke had a stare-off with Rei. 'One hit, and he fractures my ribs…' Kakashi was sweating underneath his mask as he looked down at Rei.

"Lady Tsunade let us-" An Anbu Black Ops member attempted to convince Tsunade to let them fight with Rei, but she immediately shut him down. "No." Rei had a single finger placed against Danzo's skull at this point, causing everyone to stop moving. "I think I was on four Tsunade. Have you made your decision, or do those three need to go as well?"

Rei had hurt Kakashi and taken down Asuma in a matter of seconds while still being able to keep Danzo under his thumb. Tsunade didn't need to know what would happen if Kurenai, Sasuke or Naruto attempted to do anything more. "As Fifth Hokage, I declare that Danzo is Herbie exiled from the Hidden Leaf Village for his treason and actions."

Tsunade used a slightly loud voice to announce that everyone heard it. Rei simply glanced at her in response before looking back at Danzo. "Hado #4: Byakurai." As his eyes widened, not being able to say a word in his position, a beam of blue lightning shot directly through Danzo's skull. The light left Danzo's eyes as he had a horrified look on his face.

With their target dead being Danzo dead, the Bakudo and the strange dogs summoned by it began to disappear, letting his body fall to the ground. Everyone was silent as Rei lowered his hand and let out a deep breath looking at Danzo's corpse coldly. "Tsunade," Rei spoke to Tsunade without looking at her as she stared at him with a strange expression on her face.

"I believe we will soon hit that quota mark for country registration. I hope our relations in the future remain as… Productive as possible." Rei's voice wasn't filled with mockery or anything of the sorts. It felt more like a warning than anything else. He was basically saying 'Keep your people in check from now on.' or at least that's how she interpreted it.

Rei used Flash Step and disappeared from everyone's view without another word, leaving them all standing there baffled. "What just…" Naruto seemed confused as he looked around for Rei, but he was gone. There was a slight glint of intent in Sasuke's eyes as he tightened his fist and Kurenai had already gone to check up on Asuma.

"I don't think he has any idea what he just did." Having watched the whole thing play out, Shikamaru had sweat dripping down his forehead as he showed off an awkward look. "I think he did." Speaking mostly to herself, Ino shook her head as she glanced in the direction of the Soul Society.

Despite all the Chunin and Jonin forming a perimeter around the area, Rei managed to break through almost effortlessly. In fact, he didn't mean to leave as quickly as he did, but he couldn't act for long. He had been pushing himself travelling here, fighting Danzo, using Ryujin Jakka's Shikai and that final stunt with Danzo and everyone else.

He was absolutely exhausted and almost out of Reiryoku. As he quickly dashed through the Leaf through the maze of buildings, he sighed to himself. With one heavy leap, he jumped over the wall surrounding the village and entered the Forest unnoticed. 'I'm going to need to take a quick break before I make it back to everyone. But at least I finally dealt with Kabuto and Danzo.'

He had made the statement that he would have the ten thousand citizens and caused a ruckus, but he had also made a point. A load off of his mind when it came to the future while lowering his objectives and goals as well. As crazy as it sounded, he had surprisingly made things a lot easier for him to manage with fewer people breathing down his neck.

"Hopefully this is the last time I have to do something like this." That's what Rei hoped for at least. However, even now, his actions of dealing with Kabuto and Danzo only acted as a trigger. And now with the possibility of his existence being spread almost guaranteed things were only beginning.
