Chapter 1

The pavement was cold and wet, the rain trickled down her face her hair drenched and her clothes ripped and soaked.

All you could her is her fast footsteps, she ran to one person she knew in town that would help her out.

* knock * * knock* she frantically knocked on the door of the old pharmacy hoping someone would answer.

* knock * knock * knock

" Mr. Nelson, Please open the door please I'm begging you" the woman pleaded *BOOM* a loud thunder crack could be heard in the distance and she whimpered and shivered in fear.

Finally, the door opened and there stood a man in his robe looking exhausted and surprised he stared at the frazzled woman in-front of him and said, " Ms. Harper what are you doing here this hour?" The woman just stood there shivering and crying.

" do come in" he said ushering her inside the old pharmacy helping her upstairs to the living space and sat her down in front of the chimney and started a fire he took her coat and hung it on the coat rack.
