Chapter 28 Tina in a mess

Mrs. Tina and Miriam head back

 to the forest in search of ken.

They were both disguise as maids

 when leaving the Mansion.

But why are we disguising

 ourselves? Miriam was the first

 to speck once they got out of

the mansion

I told you to tell your husband

 that you are going to visit your

aunty.

And you think I did do that?, he

refuse, saying am not strong

enough to leave the mansion, that

I should visit next month.

Then you are in for serious trouble,

let’s just go back home.

“What do you mean am already

out and you want me to go back

 without my son?.

“First of all, we are not sure of

seeing ken, secondly, we might

not have the chance to come

 back alive

“Why? Tina ask.

“You can’t even lift a stick, not to

talk of fighting” Miriam said.

“Do we have to fight?

“Just saying in case”. Miriam said.

“Let just keep going nothing will

 happen to us and beside I’ have

 paid you for any damage this

might cost you”.

“You think so”?

“Yes, so keep moving”

“I said it, all of them are the same,

they think money can buy anything

even life”. She murmured.

“What?, is there a problem”? Tina

 ask Miriam.

“Oh, nothing let’s just keep moving”.

When they got to the forest they

start tracing the place where they

 have been the last time.

“This is where we camp, and then

 ben walk that way, yes, this way,

lets go this way” they move for like

 one hour.

“Yes this is where I saw the funny

looking people and then I hid here”.

Pointing at the spot she hid herself.

“Then where did the funny looking

people went?,

“That way” Miriam point to the left.

“Let’s go there then”

“What? Are you insane? Miriam

asks her boss before realizing

 her mistake.

“Sorry ma, let’s go”.

They walk towards that direction

 for three hours but saw nothing,

no house, no body, no farm.

“Let’s just go back, is too dangerous

here and you know is just the

 two of us”.

But Tina is not willing to go back

without her son. If she can’t find

her son, she better die here

with him.

Miriam was starting to regret her

 actions, she is now afraid for her

life and that of Tina’s.

“What have I done?, if she dies

here I will be to blame, but is the

 point? Seen I will also die here

along with her, who will dare blame

 me? Is it not someone who is

 alive that people blame?, because

am sure we are not going home

alive. Those people are surely

going to kill us if they found us.

“Oh.. God, please tell me what

to do.

Ok.. ok.. I know what I should

do, I will run away and leave her if

she refuse to listen to me. But

where will I run to, Miriamm…

think, think… think… ok, you can

go anywhere now that you have

you can do anything with it, she

keeps thinking of the best action

 to take.

“Miriam what are you doing

let’s move faster.

“Let’s keep going, look! There is

a house over there. Tina pointing

 in front of her, Miriam’s heart jump

 into her throat.

“Please let’s go back those people

 might be dangerous, let’s not

go closer”.

“Look, Miriam, I have come this

 far and there is no going back,

and you are coming with me. She

grab her hand dragging her toward

 the house in front of them.

As they get in front of the house

 a lion came out of the house.

“Oh my God.. both woman gave

out a big shout and collapse in

front of the lion. The lion just looked

at them, walk round the women,

sniff them and walk back inside

 the house.

A funny looking man came out to

 see what it was but find two

women laying on the ground,

“bring them inside”.

  Said another man inside the

house.

He drag them inside the house.

“Tie them up” the voice said again,.

Tina and Miriam woke up in a

 dark room where only the rail

 of light shine through the window.

They were able to see themselves

 but nothing else,

I told you, is a bad idea coming

closer to this place, now we are

caught. Miriam said, not knowing

 what to say or do.

“Don’t worry, they are not going

to kill us”.

“Yea, and how do you know?.

“Well I don’t know but something

 tells me Ken is here”.

“There you go again, if Ken was

here he would have try to escape

 by now, that is if he is alive”.

“Don-don’t say that again, my son

cannot die, I will find him and take

 him home with me. Get it?.

“Ok, ok, sorry, do whatever you

can but just get me out of this

place, Miriam shouted at Tina,

“my own parents need me too”.

“But I thought I paid you for any

damage this might Cost?.

Miriam was so ferrous hearing

 that from Mrs. Tina

“There you go again, Why are you

 people like this?, you think money

 is everything? You think you can

 buy my life with money?

Wait until I get a chance to leave

 this place, I will run and never

 look back”.

Tina was quite, she regret saying

 those words to her, she is right

money cannot buy life; she

shouldn’t have put it that way.

She wanted to say am sorry, but

was feeling too big to do so.

Just then the door open and a

scarier woman walk into the room.

“Hey you come with me”.

“Me?.. She? Miriam said.

“You”, pointing at Miriam

“Oh.. Is not me, is she.. She is

the one who ask me to come

closer, please just let me go and

 I promise not to tell anyone, she

keeps on blabbing until the woman

 came closer and gave a slap

across her face.

“Jesus! Tina shouted at the

 sound of the slap.

The scarier woman took Miriam

out of the room into another room

where the boss is.

“Where is he? And where is my

 treasure?.

“Who? And what treasure? I swear

 to you, I don’t know anything

about treasure or who you are

referring as He.

“Shout-up and answer the damn

question”, the woman said

 to Miriam.

“Ok, ok, I will answer your question

but first can I use the toilet?

Miriam said in total confusion.

“Do you think we are joking here?

“Where is my treasure, or I cut

off your tongue”.

“Treasure…treasure…treasure, ok,

ok, I will tell you. She is the one

with the reassure”. Miriam said

 pointing at the other room.

“Bring her to me. The boss

 ordered.

“yes boss” the scarier woman

said and went and brought Tina

 into the room.

“Woman, where is my treasure?

The man on the chair shouted at

 Tina once she entered the room.

“What-what treasure?, she asks

  looking at the most terrified

Miriam.

“She said that you are with my

treasure, point at Miriam, so I

ask again where is my treasure?

“Look, I know nothing about

 treasures, I am looking for my

son, did you people see my son,

he fall down from the aircraft and

 no one has seen him since then.

Do you people see anyone that is

 not of your kind”?

There was silence, and they looked

 at one another without saying

 a word.

“Ohh. ..Noo.. we are dead now”,

Miriam said seeing the look on

their faces.

“Just give them the damn treasure

and let’s get out of here, after all

 we don’t need any treasure, we

 are here to look for ken who

 happen to fall out of the aircraft

and now he’s not here…

“Shut the fuck up” the bass

 commended when Miriam keep

 blabbing nonsense from her mouth

hoping they let them go.

“What did you people do to her?,

is obvious she has gone mad,

that slap you gave to her is enough

to make someone go mad she

said pointing at the woman

“Lock them up” the boss ordered.

“Yes sir”.

“Let go of me you little witch”

Miriam keep saying and acting

like someone insane.

The scarier woman threw them

 back to the dark room but this

 time she did not tie them up,

Tina rush to Miriam side.

“heyy.. Am so sorry are you hurt?

“No am fine, just get us out of

here, will you?

“Hey you got me scare to death

 out there” Tina said.

“You are lucky that woman didn’t

slap you, by now you would have

 been a real mad woman.. they

both laugh.

“Am so sorry Miriam for getting

 you involve in this”.

“Is ok. Let’s just think of getting

out of this place alive.

Tina starts searching around

 the room.

“And what are you doing? Miriam

 ask Tina.

“Am looking for something to use,

we can dig a hole and come out

 of the other side.
