Chapter 10 I can't believe this

Gina got to the Jackson family the next day and couldn’t believe what met her eyes. Everyone in the family greeted her with a warm smile, which makes Gina feels at home a little.

“What is this!  I thought everyone in this family would be horrible!... but this?.... This is lovely, oh.. if only it was someone else and not this arrogant Benjamin, it would have been better”. She muttered.

Now she has to put up with this beast of a man. "Oh... god, where is Ken? How do I get to see him again, is killing me”.

Sitting at dinner, Ben asks his mom to invite Ken and his mother so Ken could see his beautiful wife to be, he was hoping to make Ken jealous.

“Easy boy,” his mother said “ They will soon get to see her," she smile and looked at Gina, “Isn't she beautiful?"

“Yeah, she is mom,” Ben said smiling.

Ben's mom only said that because she didn’t want a fight to happen between Benjamin and Ken, this is not the right time.

“Yes son, not now” Mr. Jackson cuts in. "They may have the time to see her tomorrow." Mr. Jackson said, he knew that if ken and his mom were invited, a fight could happen, knowing who Ben is.

Mr. Jackson just looked at his wife and son, and he could only shake his head, He didn’t know why he married this woman, is like the heavens didn't want him to be happy, that is why it has to give him a wife like Benjamin’s mother in other to punish him for a crime he knows nothing about.

 “Fine, maybe next time" Ben agreed, he turned to Gina smiling at her but she was just busy with her food. 

“Why is he looking at me like that?" Gina asks herself, still not looking at Ben, "and what are they talking about? Anyways is none of my business, whatever they are talking about is none of my business, I'm here to know if they have something on my father.

And God helps them because I will skin them alive if they do" she threatened her.

Silence was what followed as no one talked anymore, then Ben breaks the silence after they have finished eating. He offered to show Gina around. 

“Okay, let’s go”. She said and went with him.

Getting out of the living room, Ben said to Gina, “I want you to listen very carefully to what I'm about to tell you, and if you don’t understand any part of it, feel free to ask questions?"

Gina was all ears, waiting to hear a secret, maybe, she thought he was about to tell her what they had on her father, so she fixed her eyes on Benjamin hoping to get the information she has been waiting for.

“Okay, go ahead I'm all ears.”

“Good, now listen to me, in here you see them you crush them, they see you, they smash you. Do you understand”?

“Not really,” she said.

“Okay, is like this, the Jackson family is a very big family, not like yours that is small. You understand?"

Gina was just looking at him without saying a word. “Is he trying to insult me again?" She ask herself but held her peace.

“I have a half-brother who is so full of himself and I want to introduce you to him  and let him see how beautiful you are because he thinks that you are ugly,"

“What!"

“Yes,” he said hoping that it will stir her to come with him and make Ken jealous. "And I also what you to know him and after that, you will no longer talk to him again. Anywhere you see him, you put him in his place."

“And what the hell is he talking about?" Gina asks herself. 

“I'm I here to fight with your half-brother?” Gina asks Ben.

“I didn’t say so, all I'm saying is that you must know how to keep him in his place that’s all."

“Anyways I still don’t understand what you are saying but for now I'm not ready to meet your brother." She says and walks past him. 

“Don’t you dare walk out on me again when I'm still talking”? Ben was ferrous now.

“Really? And what will you do if I dare to walk out on you?". Ben was trying so hard now to control himself but he had to, seeing that Gina just arrived.

“Fine," he said and walk past Gina to his room. 

Gina has started thinking, that maybe it was a bad idea to come here in the first place, but the rest of the family seems okay to her.

But why must it be this idiot Ben that her father has to choose for her to get married to? "Oh... Ken.. where are you? If only I could see him again, I will never let him go. this time I will run away with him.

But who knows if he loves me that much to want to take me away with him?" She asks herself.

[ Ken's quarters]

 Ken keeps thinking about Gina and where to find her, he thought of going back to the hotel to get her details but he doubts if the hotel will give out their customer's information just like that.

“Why on earth did I not take her number" ken blamed himself. "anyways  it was not my fault, she was in a hurry to leave and I forgot to ask."

“Hey, what is wrong? you look worried," Ken’s mom said looking at her son, she knows when he is not happy.

"Mom is about Gina, a girl I met at the landmark hotel."

“Who's she?"

“ I don’t know her full details but I think with time I will know everything about her”,

“hmmm, my son is in love, bring her to me when you see her".

“I will mom”. she left him alone to continue with his thoughts.

Just then Ken saw Miriam walking in his direction. 

“Not again" Ken mumbled.

“Hey, ken."

 “Hey Miriam, how are you doing?"

 “I'm fine, I hope you have come back to your senses?"

“And what do you mean by that?"

“I mean you, me, together as one."

“Miriam please I don’t have time for your nonsense right now, I'm busy, I will see you later"; He walked out on her.

 “Is okay, I will teach you how not to sleep with your housemaid. nonsense" she said and walk away.

“Yeah, is my fault and I regret it now, I will never try it again, but how do I come out of Miriam’s problem? Why can’t she just let me be? I know what to do, finding Gina and bringing her into this house will make her go away from me.

I can’t possibly fire her, she’s not my employee and she is my mom’s favorite maid.

 I can’t ask mom to fire her either, she will ask me too many questions. Damn!.. Miriam…." He curses.

Ben was hoping to show off Gina’s beauty to ken and make him jealous, but Gina was just acting up,

He walks up to her, and grabs her hands, "Gina, please come with me, I just want you to meet my brother and say hi to him.

“I'm not going, infect I want to go home," Gina said

“I promise to take you home myself when I'm done with this introduction."

“Let me be, I said I'm not coming with you." She keeps arguing with Ben who is so eager to show her to his brother to make him jealous.

Mr. George thought he has never seen his daughter so sad as this but what could he do? if there were other alternative ways he would have gladly given it a try but there is no way around his current situation.

He thought of visiting Gina at the Jackson family but no! is too early to panic, Mr. Jackson is my friend and won’t allow anything to happen to my only daughter. He said to himself.

Three days have passed without Gina feeling anything for Ben, the more she sees him the more she wants to get far away from him.

“Not anymore I'm going to walk around the house by myself, I don’t need all this body guarding,  I need to be free, this is hell on earth even though they have a beautiful house and takes good care of her, she still feels like a prisoner because she doesn’t feel like talking to any one of them about her personal feelings, they are not the type of circle she wants to be in. and besides, she is only comfortable talking about her feelings and love issues with Patrick and no one else, or maybe Ken, yes Ken, but if only she will see him.

She thought of calling Patrick but no, is not a good idea, Patrick can not be seen around here, who knows what this mad Ben would do to him?

“I will just stay for a few more days and I will go home, I'm not going to marry this mad man, he wants me to fight with his half-brother. I pity whoever his brother is, god, help him, it would have been better if he was born an only child like me." She muttered.

“Please, I want you to come with me to see my brother, I just want to introduce you to him".
