The guy holding me let go and someone swooped in from behind . It was Annalise . She took off my blind fold and asked if i was fine. It was sort of awkward because she wasnt exactly the type. And Luke with his other friend had joined up in the fight. Luke carried the huge guy with approximately just a little effort and tossed him across the parky loft into some sort of trash can.

Annalise joined in the fight amd dang ,she was super fit like she literally jumped sky high she blocked the ligjt from the street light and landed a kick on the bald guy's head. These guys were dressed like FBI agents all black with white ear pieces in their ears. But kids teenage kids made fools out of them. In few minutes the fight was done.

And everybody was running towards me asking me if I am ok and not hurt. Why did people I just met and not talked to except Luke of course put their lives on the line for.

POV Magnus

"Alec what have you done ? " As I looked into his beautiful eyes. He didn't defend himself. He always did this ,he let me scold him. As he just stood there looking handsome as ever. It amused me how through out my life i had always had lovers but none mad me feel like this. "Alec this is bigger than you and me , we cant just act off our intincts." I trusted him but I had a feeling .Yesterday wasn't the last time we saw off the wolves from last night. Good enough I was back to my full power and the boundary was up so I could detect any anomalies with even the slightest super natural abilities.

"Magnus you need to let lose , that girl will fall apart to pieces if she is left on her own . She lost her mother just yesterday. " She needs to get some fresh air and how best to do that than in a superfast luxarious car. She might be able to make a friend or two. Plus I have the junior squad watching her. They'll inform me incase of anything. I gave them the order to remain in her shadow and inform me incase of anything. And I am texting Luke right now. "The situation is calm sir."

BACK TO BETHZ POV

I was shocked but honestly nothing g frightened me that much anymore. I had seen too much. "You ..growl " Luke stared at Ricky. "I knew your upto no good ," as he pounced from where he was in Ricky's direction.

But the other guys held him back. "His not worth it," Annalise whispered. Jake also stares in his eyes and simply disagreed in a node. "Piss off Luke commanded and Ricky disappeared into the dark alley right next to the parking lot." He then came to were I was . I was on the ground . But when I saw him.come.i quickly jerked myself up. His disorganized hair bounced in the moonlight and his gray eyes peaked through the windows of my soul. He assessed me and wherever he touched seemed better almost immediately. He offered to drive me home and helped me to the car.

I sat but I couldn't lock the door atleast not without thanking these guys. Which I did , it helping me feel alittle warmer in this brutal coldness that was starting to eat me up. We started our journey as the rest of the crew left . Each one took a different route out of the parking lot . The engine purred as we sped through the city then into the woods , I remembered Ricky's words as I see the huge bug trees in the odds run backwards pretty fast . "They have my family I have no choice . " Many questions where running through my head . Why had he tried to save me. Because I am not sure I would do the same if I was in his shoes.

How was he going to save his family, what were they to do with them since he had painfully failed his mission.

"Hey" while my body was coiled in the passenger front seat. He had persisted he should covered me in his white wool leather jacket. "Hey " he looked back into my eyes. It's weird but I liked the way he held the steering wheel as be drove . He took a grip at it with one hand and leaned back . Damn , he was in control. "So about Ricky , he told me his family was captured and leveraged for me."

His look shifted into one of surprise . " When i joined the park , Ricky was one of the most welcoming guys .He didnt have a family though.

Anyway, he was a nice guy until i started being better than him then the rabid wolf under the sheep fur showed up." His tone went low then high . Somewhere in there he missed his old buddy. I had taken thought of it, that if he told Alec or Magnus what had happened that evening . Magnus would mediate a fuss over it and put me on a chain . I am not even being sarcastic, he did it one time just as well could do it again. "Alec dont tell anyone about about what has happened tonight"

When we got home. The couple was out ,probably waiting for me. But they held each other. Alec held Magnus in what seemed like a comfortable tight grip . Having not grown up with my parents or any healthy romantic relationship around me that was a strange new feeling. When they saw the car both their faces lit up. Magnus had a worried look on his face and now he was relieved .

Well as Alec looked at him in a way that said , "I told you so. " .Before I could process anymore I received a bug warm hug. Well of course he was a hugger. "You had me worried sick " he held each one of my chics in both palms.

Alec mouthed a "thank you kiddo,". I also introduced Lukas as my new friend and his awesome crew. Magnus invited them over on Saturday for dinner. "B invite your other friends over on Saturday for your birthday dinner. " I smiled at the statement , but how did he know my birthday was soon approaching . Birthday dinners was a whole new concept for me. I always had a cream coated cup cake for my birthday without toppings I hated toppings just little colored pellets without taste. I hated illusions in general ,why make them look sweet yet they are meaningless . "Oo God ,I checked myself and then ran to the car. " fuck I had lost the one thing I needed to keep carefully.

The flash drive. Now I would never know about my dad , I could never hear my mother's sweet voice again or see her face of angels . Everyone was staring Alec , Magnus and Luke probably thought I was crazy , actually I looked and sounded crazy because the sudden change of the mood. I ran to my room crying. Reality came rushing in this time there was no stopping it. All I wanted was to see her. Was hearing my own mother's voice too much to ask. Why was my life falling into pieces and I could hardly pick it up. I was too weak. Then I felt it again , I could never have forgotten the feeling , my eyes opened ajar . My flesh shivered on my bones and my bones quacked in their joints and connections. And then the flesh separated from my bones .
