Fighting the Slime knight Part 1

"Let's go Yuko...Let's take down this slime together" I say while advancing onward with Yuko following steadily behind me.

I tried to Study the unusual Slime ahead of me to understand what type of slime we are dealing with. There was one awfully clear thing, and that was this slime can use magic. This is something that neither I nor Yuko could do. This slime is faster than me, but I think I could still keep up with the slimes moments if we attacked together.

As all of these thoughts were coming to me fast about how powerful this slime could be, but then I heard the System.

*Quest triggered

*Defeat the Slime Knight <Rewards 800 Exp, 400 Pet Exp, 9 Free attribute point(s), Sliver key>

I looked at the quest that recently emerged in front of me. I was eager to know what this Key was because this is my first time seeing it. Then again I came to a realization that this happened to only be my second quest. I then glanced at my Free attributes points and notice that they were beginning to stack up. This quest seems off because of the amount of (FAP=Free Attribute points) FAP being rewarded.

[Author I don't know what to write should I just write out Free attribute points or can I use FAP?]

"I'll use the FAP in case of an emergency only," I said to myself as an order to memorize. How do I put this...Well as of right now my strongest stat is my strength with 14 while everything else is balanced. While Yuko's Strongest stat is her Vitality with 22, but the rest of her stats are pretty low. If I need to I will add all my points into my strength stat and make Yuko support me as I wait for an opening. Yuko won't take much damage thanks to her Vitality that is why I trust her to defend me.

I look at Yuko who is sitting on top of a tree branch and just waiting for the Slime Knight to come closer to us.

The Slime Knight was at least several meters away from us and now I could clearly see how the slime looked. I have to say that the Slime Knight was at least twice the size of Yuko(For reference Yuko is the size of an adult male head). The slime had a very powerful aura around it, and to matters weirder, there was an unusual symbol inside the Slime Knight that was floating inside it. The symbol was as if it was alive itself, it moved as if it had a breath of its own. It even followed my eyes wherever I glance away it came closer to me as if It had a consciousness of its own. The symbol was kinda like a photograph...I think that would be the easiest way to describe it. It was of a child with a crown on its head but like a cartoonish version of it.

"I wonder what that symbol signifies," I said with curiosity.

"Wshhh"

Just like that, I lost track of the Slime Knight. It disappeared from my line of sight in a second with no trace of where it went.

"What? The?" I said really confused I even looked at Yuko and asked "You know where the Sl...AHUUU"

Just like that, It felt as if a small car had hit me behind. This admittedly caused intense pain in my back like a thousand needles hitting it. I got knocked away 5 feet from where I was; before, I fell on the ground landing on my arm causing a lot of pain.

What hit me? I thought to myself wondering what is going on and how could something ram me away from where I was.

I hopped on my feet patting my clothes to get the dust off my ripped clothes. What I can't let the only things I have getting more messed up. (Learn to take care of your things -_-) I glanced back to where I was previously standing to see what had hit me, and to my surprise. My glance revealed a little green slime where I was previously. It was the Slime Knight. "But how?" I said to myself murmuring my thoughts out loud. It was so much faster than I thought I didn't even see him go behind me. "how?" This reminded me of lighting...You can see it for one second, but you wouldn't be able to stop it if it hit.

Yuko used her skill [Charge] while the Slime was distracted by me, but ended up hitting a wall that the Slime Knight had conjured up to protect it from behind while still looking at me. This causes a big crack into the wall making a spiderweb pattern on it where Yuko hit it.

Yuko didn't stop there though she then proceeded to use her [Charge] skill again and break the wall with the second hit. Pieces of debris hit the Slime Knight causing it to take a big jump away from us with surprise.

"Guessing you weren't expecting a simple blue slime to be this strong huh," I said to the Slime Knight making a smirk at it then grabbing the nearest stick I could find and running towards it.

Yuko also started to charge at it using her skill [Charge].

The slime automatically sent a bunch of pillars at me trying to hit my vitals spots. First, it sent the first pillar at my head. I proceeded to duck down and evade the pillar still managing to keep my momentum towards the Slime Knight while crouched down. Then the Slime Knight sent another 2 pillars at me aiming at my right and left arms.

Just then I realized what he was trying to do "Very clever slime." The slime has cut off my right and left and I can't jump up because of the pillars on top of me. So the only thing I can do is charge forward, but the thing is I'm at a disadvantage. All he needed to do is summon another pillar in the little hallway he left for me and I wouldn't be able to dodge the attack.

"Speak of the freaking Devil," I said in frustration and worry.

Slime Knight has summoned another pillar, and I couldn't do anything. Walls of stone trapped me from all sides like a was in a prison. Suddenly all the stone walls turned into rubble and fell down like snow on Christmas day. Even the pillar that was coming at me dissolved into rubble. I looked to see what was going on. Then I saw Yuko where the Slime Knight was previously. I was assuming that Yuko had hit the Slime Knight using [Charge]. Which pushed the slime into a tree and ended up knocking the tree down in the process.

"Good j..." Before I could finish my sentence, a pillar appeared out of nowhere and smashed into Yuko and me. At the same time, and we both went flying in different directions.

The pillar hit my stomach which caused me to spit out blood and throw up the fish I had eaten a while ago. The pillar had stop because of what I was imagining was the distance from the Slime Knight. I stood on my feet to see what had happened to Yuko. What I saw was that she was fine and she even managed to break the pillar before it could do any major damage. "That's my Yuko!" I said with happiness knowing that I didn't choose a stupid slime.

"We need to rethink our plan we've been trying to attack it at the same time, but it can summon more than one pillar. This is a problem..." I said to myself thinking of a new strategy.

"I got it!!! YUKO DEFEND ME WHILE I PUSH" I yelled out to yuko.

I started to run toward the Slime Knight but it began to send pillars after pillars over and over again. It seems he is just trying to hit me now so there is no pattern to his attacks. That means It will be easier to dodge. Here is my chance!! "Yuko!" I yelled out signaling to protect me from any pillars I couldn't dodge.

I was running faster than I have ever run before in my last life. Dodging pillars the Slime Knight sent my way but then one came out of the ground right below my feet. I wasn't expecting it and so it caught me off guard. "Damn, not this again a few more hits and I'll be done," I said worriedly now.

You see my HP from the Slime Knight's last attack did 4 Hp points so my Hp is <HP 10/14>.

I couldn't dodge the attack from the ground. I can't destroy the pillar the way Yuko does so this is going to hurt...I closed my eyes but nothing had happened to me I open them and I was safe on the ground. I looked up and seen that the pillar had hit Yuko instead. Causing Yuko to hit the roof of the cave and shaking the cave in the process.

She pushed me out of the way because she couldn't stand me getting hurt, and it was all because of my carelessness. I looked at Yukos' Hp <HP 19/21> "What I forgot for a second Her Vitality is super high."

"Yuko once we finish this thing me off you and me are going to talk about you...GOT THAT" I said frustrated and scared for a second.

"But for now, Why don't you get down here for we can get serious and finish this thing,' I said with a smirk on my face and biting my bottom lip. Yuko broke the pillar and fell to the ground and bouncing off of it.

"It's time...To take this fight more seriously," I start thinking of 3 things we could do.

One first of all since Yuko didn't take any damage at all from the slimes past 2 attacks I think It would be best for her to act like my shield. She can push first destroying all the pillars and leading the way straight to the slime. But a big flaw in this our plan is we only managed to hit the Slime Knight once. So I don't know how much damage I can do to that thing. Also, another thing to consider is that its speed from when it appeared behind me at the begging of the fighting suddenly. It doesn't seem that the slime has used its speed again so that's a good thing for now.

The second thing we could do is try to tire out the slime because if it's anything like Yuko then it has to have to be running out of mana soon. But also to consider is that we have to think that we can't predict the amount of mana it has. So that is one unknown variable, but also the other unknown variable. Is again it's speed he could end up using his stamina once he finishes his mana. and then we will be back at square 1.

Also finally We have our skill points we have saved up, but I don't want to use those yet until we don't have a choice.

I then came up with a plan right on the spot. The slime is starting to attack more and more carelessly seeming like it is trying to finish us as quickly as possible. That means it is running out of mana from the number of times it has cast that pillar spell. But then that leads us into part two why hasn't it been using its speed. That is when I realized it was probably a skill that let it increase its speed for a short time. And that would explain how It suddenly appeared from behind me in the begging than it used the common slime skill [Charge] on me knocking me down. Now the only reason It doesn't keep on attacking me or Yuko like that. Is that its stamina was low to start with, and that means that It won't be able to keep up after it uses up all of its mana.

The best plan of action as of right now is to split up and keep on drawing out its attacks for we can decrease it's mana and then do the same for its stamina.

This all took me 30 seconds to think of right off the bat...I was a high school prodigy after all...A genius...

I look at Yuko who was right next to me and said "Spilt up and draw out all of its attacks and don't get hit just make him attack you over and over again." Yuko then proceeded to bounce toward the slime at her fastest speed and did exactly what I said.

"I guess It's time for us to finish this...I have grown quite bored with this slime." I said as I sprinted off toward the slime.
