21 Chapter 21

On the fifteenth day of Klaus's solitary training in Ludovic's estate, Ludovic couldn't contain his curiosity any longer. He had left the young boy to train in his estate, and now he eagerly anticipated the changes in Klaus's physique. Sebastien, Ludovic's personal attendant, had spoiled him with tantalizing hints about the transformation that awaited, further stoking Ludovic's excitement.

Meanwhile, another passenger in the carriage was even more eager to see Klaus. The rhythmic shaking of her leg produced a distinct sound, echoing her restlessness. For the past fifteen days, Elisabeth had been plagued with sleepless nights, her thoughts consumed by worry for her beloved son. Klaus had always possessed a delicate constitution from the moment he was born, and the prospect of him being alone for two weeks filled her with concern.

"My lady, please, you must calm down," Lina implored, gently pressing Elisabeth's trembling leg in a futile attempt to still it.

Elisabeth's voice trembled with apprehension. "How can I calm down? I am certain he overexerted himself. What if his condition worsened?" Her maternal instinct had been in overdrive, and worry gnawed at her with each passing day.

Lina, also concerned but maintaining a calm facade, tried to reassure her mistress. "But, my lady, you left him with many high-grade elixirs. I'm sure the young master is fine. Isn't that right, Lord Ludovic?"

"We're almost there. You'll see for yourself," Ludovic replied with a composed demeanor, keeping Elisabeth's growing anxiety at bay.

Five more minutes and they arrived at Ludovic's estate. As soon as the carriage came to a halt, Elisabeth couldn't contain herself any longer. With an adrenaline-fueled surge of determination, she pushed open the carriage door with a strength that caught everyone's attention. Her actions broke the door, and her next challenge was to push the massive gate open, which she accomplished with a thunderous noise.

Yet, just as she was about to dash forward to reunite with Klaus, Ludovic gently but firmly held her hand. "Dearest, please calm down," he implored, his soothing voice having a magical effect, instantly calming Elisabeth's tumultuous emotions.

Inhaling and exhaling deeply, Elisabeth quelled the storm of emotions that had overwhelmed her and started walking at the same pace as Ludovic and Lina, who had been keeping up a poker face to avoid adding to her stress.

As they neared the training ground, they caught sight of a shirtless Klaus. He was jogging, weighted bands strapped to his arms and legs, sweat glistening on his chiseled frame. What was once a fragile and frail child had morphed into an entirely different being.

"Klaus??" Elisabeth called out tentatively, not entirely sure if the robust young man before her was, indeed, her own son.

Klaus paused in his tracks, his breathing steadying as his gaze locked onto the sound of that familiar voice. He couldn't help but wonder why they seemed so taken aback.

"Why do they look like that?" Klaus pondered in silence, studying the astonished expressions on the faces of his parents and Lina.

After taking a moment to collect herself, Elisabeth rushed forward, unable to restrain her joy. She embraced Klaus tightly, tears streaming down her face. "My baby! I've missed you so much," she cried, holding him as if she would never let go.

Klaus reciprocated her embrace, his voice choked with emotion. "I've missed you too, Mom."

Lina, unable to contain her excitement, also rushed forward to join the emotional reunion. She wrapped her arms around Klaus, her own eyes brimming with tears. The three-way embrace created a warm, heartfelt moment that touched Klaus's soul. It was a feeling he hadn't experienced in his past life.

Once the initial excitement had settled and tears had been wiped away, they examined Klaus's transformed body. Ludovic, who had been somewhat in the background, examined his son's muscles and the shattered wooden swords scattered around the training ground.

"Is it really possible to change this much in just fifteen days?" he wondered, his eyes taking in the more defined muscles and the cracks in the training ground, a testament to Klaus's intense efforts.

"What kind of training have you been doing to achieve such a transformation in just fifteen days?" Lina inquired, her hands on Klaus's well-defined muscles. It was almost inconceivable that the frail child they remembered had developed into this.

Klaus hesitated, his gaze avoiding Lina's probing eyes. He scratched his chin and offered a modest smile. "Well…"

Ludovic finally spoke, captivated by the sight of Klaus's now well-defined physique and the damaged wooden swords scattered around. "It seems you've been training exceptionally hard"

Klaus's modest response warmed Ludovic's heart. "Indeed, I did my best."

Ludovic couldn't help but ask a crucial question. "Have you managed to form a mana core yet?"

Klaus blushed slightly, embarrassed to admit his lack of progress. "Not yet."

"Then why are the wooden swords in this state?" Ludovic was about to ask but was interrupted by Elisabeth

"Let's return home now." She said while Holding Klaus's hand tightly

'Oh Sh*t! it's already been fifteen days!' Klaus muttered to himself...
